Servers down again?
 

2 nights in a row now down for maintainece?? hmm they are up to something i got a idea what but it would be a stupid move..

It went down after the game crashed on me 3 times.. along with not allowing me to get to my Frigate!!!

It was acting really weird just before it went down. So I think they just have some problems going on.

Yep i was plundering and froze i closed the game logged in again to see a message saying " your district has been reset, you should be able to reconnect and get back into the game" or something along those lines and then when i got in my notoriety lvl was 0 and then i saw a admin warning of the servers going down in 3 minutes. one would think though considering for a few months now the servers have run great why would they start now?? around the end of feb. at that when everyone is expecting something for their money lol.

Yeah lol. One minute I'm cannoning, next second I'm seeing everyone swimming in the ocean! Even the cadets and everything lol.

We had a warlord going haywire. It was shooting all around, and hitting us even though it was way too far away. The broadsides weren't even coming towards us. We sank, when we got out of jail, not even groggy. Then some people said their screen went black except for their pirate.

Yup. Just minutes before the servers went down I had major lag spikes with 10sec delays. Then I got the same "District has been reset" message as well.

Thats crazy.

The servers were acting odd, I was getting some serious lag for about 30 minutes before they actually crashed. Mobs were pathing really odd as well, there was definitely some extreme server to client delaying going on.

I actually got back into game after it crashed to watch the admin give a 3 minute shut down countdown. It was pretty weird, it showed me a lvl 0 and all mobs names and levels were in white. Suddenly the world was removed and I ended up free falling in a black world for a minute. Pretty cool stuff. I wish I knew how to screenshot in this game :sadmh9:

Sad thing is like every other game developers why can't pirates have a server status page or something so we know whats going on, i mean the basics of making a great game posible aren't included with the package instead we get second hand info mostly rumors from washed up admins/mods not knowing their *** (<donkey) from a whole in the ground.. we need a official forum with info posted directly from the game devs.

Well, there gonna be closed for almost 5 hrs. Hope this is the update weve been waitin for but i hightly doubt it. If it is, i will eat my hat!!! (hated it anyways)

Could be down for hours who knows and aside from calling pirates online (setting on hold listening to the homeward bound or whatever) for hours on end then i'm not sure what else to do since the staff works a pleasent 1pm to 10pm no one is on live chat, they really need a cat eye crew for gamers with 4am questions lol

Down for 5 hrs, well I guess I'll go do some reading and then to bed. I hope they get things fixed.

Yeah, before the crash my guild was talking about all the insanity they kept seeing then suddenly when I was fighting guards they all went high into the air where I couldn't reach..yet they kept dealing damage to me lol. When I got the message for closing the game I just logged out quickly before I died...hopefully stuff gets fixed this time around - hopefully >_>

I guess it was a pretty bad crash?

It doesn't take 5 hours to do routine maintenance, or to reset all of the servers.

any programmer with half a brain knows that the code is worked on outside of the game, and then just patched into it during down times.

POTCO isn't even a true stand alone product! It was made using realm crafter.

So if something good doesn't come out of this, I would say we should start mass mailing disney about the lack of information given, yet alone the as of yet unfulfilled promises for important updates.

You know, this is my first online game that i have ever played, so i am not really able to have a point of reference to other experiences....but one would think that Disney of all people would have the money to have things working properly.
On the other hand....I do hope that this is the updates that we have been looking forward to for months now.....
I dont see how they feel they can get away with charging all of us $10 a month for us to go through and either replay the game or work on our weapons....there are only so many stumps you can kill before you get tired of the whole thing.

I dont know whats worst, the fact that the "Feb" update hasn't been made or some of the guys on the test site. I'm sick of hearing from them how bad it is, and all the bugs. Am I jealous?, yes very... I dont dislike any of the testers. I'm just jealous that they are having all the fun, and we are stuck waiting for them to clean up the mess. If there are any tester that just can't handle the job, PM me your account and let me have some fun.

I'm with u on that. Where do I sign up to be a tester. Lvl 38 for Angel and lvl 24 for Hunter, along with a few others that I have about 10 or so. I would love to get my hands on this test site. Give me some testing to do on my 16hrs a day on this place!!!

Same here! I am excited to see the clothes even if they have a lot of glitches.
