Partner of the Week
Ahoy partners!
After a long break from one of our guild's oldest traditions, I believe now is the perfect time to start anew and begin the old weekly cycle of honoring our fellow pirates once more with the reintroduction of Partner of the Week! At the beginning of every week, a poll will be posted on the Partner of the Week Thread on the Guild Site, with a list of pirates who over the past week have shown the true qualities of a partner; kindness, loyalty, determination, leadership, and other inspiring attributes that are worthy of getting a pirate recognized! Over the course of the week, you, the partners in crime, will cast your votes deciding who you want to see honored for their work to help better the guild. Then, at the end of every week, the pirate with the most votes will be honored in a post on the Partner of the Week Thread on POForums, as well as a separate thread on the PNC Guild Site, for all the guild to revel in their hard work and dedication to being a partner in crime! Just be aware that there are a few specifications that partners should be aware of when casting votes:

This week's Partner of the Week was a close tie between two of our finest guild mates! It was a tie between two of our partners right up until the end, until a final tie-breaking vote was casted that threw one of them in to this week's spotlight! And as such, this week's POTW is..... http://i1164.photobucket.com/albums/...ahempotw-1.jpg Mayhem Evermore! (Dark Pixie!) Ever since the first day she joined the guild nearly a year ago (next month!,) Mayhem has been a valuable addition to our guild because of her sharp wit, barreling comedy, and tireless sense of commitment to being a dedicated part of the guild. Every time she is online, Mayhem is always the pirate that is ready to start another adventure, fight another foe, and of course, shallow a few more gallons of rum from our supply ("secretly.") Even though she lives far across the pond than most of the guild, and even runs a guild herself, she still manages to be an active member of the guild and continues to amaze the rest of the guild and I with her willingness to always befriend and interact with other pirates. A true friend to all pirates, indeed :) Mayhem has recently been making the push to try and master potions, and initiative that I clearly seem to lack! To help give her a little push towards it, I dug in to my (very shallow) pockets and got Mayhem this handy-dandy new mixer, perhaps to make her mix up those potions a little faster! ;) http://i1164.photobucket.com/albums/...tw_present.jpg And of course, as Mayhem enjoys the splendor and spoils of being this week's Partner of the Week, she will be accompanied by our very own Pete the Parrot; may he guide you through the troubles and tribulations of the potions table to undisputed mixer mastery! http://i637.photobucket.com/albums/u...cgm/parrot.gif Oh, and one last thing.... Mayhem's tireless commitment and determination to help the guild even through her disposition over the Seven Seas has really been an inspiration to the guild Officers and I, and we truly believe that she has done a lot to better the guild. With the recent drop in Officership in the guild, we have been looking for a few new pirates to step up and take the reigns of the guild - and one of these pirates, we believe, could not be more deserving than to be Mayhem Evermore. As an extra-special present to Miss Mayhem, I would like to formally offer you the position of Veteranship in Partners N Crime, so that you can begin your journey in furthering our guild to new heights! Congratulations, Mayhem! You truly deserve it :) |

Thank you guys!! I think this might be the best thing that's ever happened to me on POTCO. Seriously! I feel honoured to be a veteran, and honoured that I've been given this title for just being me (as Mayhem :P). You have no idea how much I spammed guild chat after looking at this thread. :D

My apologies for not getting Partner of the Week up this week - we have been having problems with the poll not being able to be undone for certain memberships on the site. I had asked Andrew to undo this problem for the poll last week, and he was able to do so - unfortunately, he only checked off the Members by accident. By the time I realized this Andrew had already taken this leave, so today with my free time during work I did some digging in to the guild site to see if your technology-defficent Guildmaster could get the job done!
It took some digging, but I managed to pull it off - ALL membergroups on the guild site may now undo their votes and vote! As a way to make up for missing this Sunday's poll, this Sunday I will choose TWO pirates to be honored, based on who has the most votes on the poll. Get to voting, mates! |
Due to technical issues with the poll this past week, we've chosen not one, but two, Partners of the Week. (Thank you, Mayhem, for letting me use that image of Liz :p) Ever since she joined PNC a little over a year ago, Elizabeth has been quite the quirky, outgoing, and just flat-out crazy (which, of course, we love). She's always willing to assist any member that needs it, and is a friend to essentially a friend to everyone in the guild. Tim, whose been in the guild for quite a few years now, and who has also been recently promoted to the rank of Officer, has always been a hardworking and loyal member of the guild. He's become known for his frequent material runs; he can take down bounty hunters and warships with ease, and frankly, I'd argue that his sailing skill rivals that of our own William Goldwalker's. As Elizabeth is, like many other members of the guild, a huge Harry Potter fan. I remember one instance in particular: Elizabeth was on Pottermore, and extremely excited about having caught the Golden Snitch. As a token of our gratitude, and to commemorate this event, our gift to Elizabeth is her own Golden Snitch. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/37215601/golden-snitch-lrg.png For Tim, as a token of our appreciation, I've dipped into the guild funds (I am allowed to do that, right?) to buy him a fancy new cannon for his various plundering adventures! On top of being an overall outstandingly fun and out-going friend, over the past week during my brief absence Kyle has really saved my rear by filling in for me as Guildmaster, keeping a weathered eye over the guild and making sure that I knew anything that was going on. He has always proven himself to be an ever-loyal, determined, and reliable person, and this week as he has led the guild in my stead has only reinforced that. I know in my heart that I could have not been more fortunate than to have a Co-Guildmaster as driven and hard-working as Kyle, and he is earning is spot as one of the finest Officers this guild has ever seen in it's legacy! Though Kyle is not all hard work either; on the personal level Kyle and I have become the best of friends, and through thick and thin he has proven to be one of best friends I have ever had. His love for his friends, untamed creativity, and sometimes eccentric ways have only proven to be some of his most interesting assets, and it's what makes him such a unique and fun person to be around that makes him a truly great friend to all. Now we all know that among the many artists that Kyle fangirls over, there is a special someone that will always remain at the top of his list (and mine!) CONGRAAAATULAAATIONS NAYANA! Or should it be... Lady Danger? ;) I knew it wouldn't be too long until you became POTW. You deserve it so much! I think I've definitely grown quite close to you on the weekends when you come on rather early for someone in your time zone. And how can I forget the luck ceremonies? LAWL.
