New Island Coming? Hopefully!
Not sure if any of you have heard of this, but I saw this a few weeks ago. It appears to be a new island next to Isla Tormenta. It was a shadowy island much like Raven's Cove was before you were able to land on it, and it was taken down shortly after it was released. There have been some Aztec models in the Phase Files so maybe this could lead to the next big story quest! Take a look for yourself!

:O That's very interesting...
|
Ooh! There's more chance it could be Aztec (because of the phase files...), but it could always be Singapore. ;)
|
An Aztec jungle island would be fantastic. If Disney put as much detail into it as they did Raven's Cove, I'd be very happy. :) How about a dense jungle with unique enemies, and a hidden Aztec temple with plenty of traps? And a secret tomb with treasure...
|
Could be one of the two islands mentioned in the films: Isla de Muerta [site of cursed Aztec treasure] or Isla Cruces [site of the Thump Thump]. If its Muerta, then the island has resurfaced. If its Cruces...

The one thing I'm quite sure is guaranteed is that the new island will be in stark contrast to Raven's Cove. While the Cove is bleak, destroyed, and dreary, I would expect this "new island," to be on the brighter side to balance out the forces of the Caribbean - with that polar opposite being a lush, warm jungle, I would find it very likely that something Aztec related is on it's way!
|
Could be. But isn't that Perdida for ya? If it got a makeover and POTCO threw some of those Aztec images to spruce it up a bit, it would be that warm jungle. Maybe they should put a labyrinth in there too like they did in Raven's Cove which is frankly short. The one in Perdida could be lengthier and here's the spooky part, the maze is random!
If the new island is in that spot as we see on the map, it would be as moody as its neighbors: Cuba, Tormenta, Outcast, and Raven's. That's Davy Jones territory. He no like Jolly. Trust me on this. A power struggle is in the works... |
Not to get anyone's hopes up, but they do that kind of thing in Pixie Hollow. Things show up on the map before any news of an new 'play space' is mentioned. It sure would be nice.
|
A new island would be pretty sweet! New island also means, possible new big quest, new bosses, new weapons even! It would also be nice if they finally made it so if you have a blackmark from a cursed weapon, that it would somehow effect your skills or looks or something.
|
Ooo, I hope there really is a new island coming to the Caribbean, hopefully along with a quest. As for the black mark thing, I think you should be able to get it and it triggers the next big story quest in which you have to get rid of the curse (maybe escape from the kraken?).

lol sounds good Kale.
My idea for Perdida would involve a new enemy called Los Otras which means The Others. Tonic and jail visits are the least of your worries when these guys get ya. They shrink your head. Only way to cure it is to go to any Gypsy and get all those things you need to restore your head to normal size. The random maze with all those enemies inside happens every day. The shrinkin' head every time you get caught by Los Otras. Altogether brings life to that island and make it really live up to its name, LOST. |

Well If I recall correctly Raven's Cove got accidentally leaked onto test, and then a few months later it got released and became known. I hope this comes to the game really soon. :) :bookishfj7: :piratewheelgo2:

Sounds interesting, it'll probably come out in May or june.

I sure hope this is a new island!

I hope an island just doesn't appear suddenly where no island was before, complete with people and habitations.
What POTCO should do is have it start with a volcanic explosion. Then have a volcano appear in the location where they want the new island. Over a week or so it should build itself up into an island, complete with huge black or red plume overhead. Then once that has settled down, habitations and humans should start appearing a few at a time - presuming they want the island to be inhabited at all. We should be able to go over there and see the buildings being built. Conversely, they could have it inhabited with lava monsters. That could be interesting. I hope they would do a better job with the lava monsters than they did with the ghosts. Maybe have them melt metal items if they get a good strike in. (There goes your famed sword. Now you have a reason to quest for another.) Crimson Rose |
Aha! Finally the cannibals! :tiki8gt:

Well, I hope POTCO takes this opportunity to make some different monsters. Lava monsters that fling globs of lava at you, or just touch you. No weapons required. Perhaps you should lose some HP each time you hit them just from the heat of being too close to red lava.
Cannibals would be good. But how could you justify being thrown in jail, when what they really want to do is eat you? Hopefully the "jail" on the cannibal island will be tied to a post over a fire, and you have to find a way to get off while being groggy. (Is that where the "grog" comes in? The natives will take your grog and you can escape while they're passed out?) Crimson Rose |
Yeah instead of kicking a door, you bounce up and down over a fire until you bounce away. :)
|
Well, I don't know about lava monsters entering the game, but it would be good to have wild boars. Why not? They're mad as hell and they're not gonna take it anymore. We just ate some pork at Tortuga recently and they're a tad sensitive about that. So it makes perfect sense to add wild boars into the game just to make it more interesting for us pirates who would like the other white meat for dinner. oink oink
