Pirates Dice

I was wondering how to play it. I found this site[/img], but it is still unclear. Not a well written description of the game.

Anyone know how to play it?

They have this on the Disney Pirates site:

Wow, reillysix!

You're very welcome for the link. It's a very fun game indeed.

dice game

While we were at Books-a-Million recently, we saw an actual physical game you could buy that was the pirates dice game.

I'll see if I can find a link somewhere for it.

Indianajo75 02-16-2007 08:40 PM

I have no idea what Pirate Dice is.

Pirate Dice

In the second pirate movie - "Dead Man's Chest" there was a game that the pirates on the Flying Dutchman were playing. This was where they were betting years of their life so that if they won the bet they were released from service to Davy Jones sooner, but if they lost they had to serve a longer time.

Each pirate had a dice cup with five dice in it. They shook the cup and turned the cup over, but left the cup on top of the dice so they were hidden from the other players. Then the first round of betting took place.

Each pirate was betting how many dice total would have a certain number. For example, three sixes. Each pirate made a bet the first round and either increased the number of dice for the same number (five sixes) as the previous bet or picked a new number (four fours).

This would continue for another round and then all dice are revealed to see whose bet won - i.e. who was right and who was wrong so far as the numbers of dice.

Hope that explanation helps;-)

I purchased the real game before Thanksgiving and Christmas last year, and had a blast playing it with relatives during those holidays. It's a really fun game, maybe we could create a forum game based off of this? Hmm..

Devin 03-14-2007 04:29 AM

I am very bad at that game. :p I get it, but very bad.

Ducky Wucky 03-14-2007 04:33 AM

I love that game! I actually had a dream about it last night. O_o No kiddin'!

Thanks for the URL. I don't like actually having to buy the game. Lol.

Woo, I thought at the time that this game would be cool. Looks like they made it real huh? I'm going to search for it to purchase.

Astro 03-15-2007 09:45 PM

Bo.Shwah 03-16-2007 02:45 AM

Savvy 03-18-2007 03:42 AM

I love that game! First time I played I won! Fun game, it's like "BS" Card Game. If you've never played it, I am not telling ANYONE what the name means... figure it out please :).

theastroA 03-18-2007 07:29 AM

Woot! I finally figured it out, and won!

ally 03-18-2007 07:51 AM

I bought this game as well. Its so much fun to play! Its like poker and bluffing card game as well. I believe me and my friends were too loud playing this game in a coffee house lol.

SeasickCharlie 03-18-2007 04:36 PM

Just by playing the game on the link, I can tell its fun, but probably dosn't compare to playing with real people. The computer is too predicatble.

That link again is http://disney.go.com/disneypictures/...s/piratesDice/

Captain 03-20-2007 07:13 PM

Captain 03-22-2007 09:40 PM

What's there? Not the actual game Pirates Dice. That you cna buy at like Target or wherever. You can play the game on your computer on the link that the SeasickCharlie told us.

Bellatrix 03-29-2007 12:54 AM

I have played Pirate's Dice before. It was
fun, but I was confused when we first
started playing. But once I started
understanding the game, I won! (Once....
out of ten games or so. :))

Now there's an idea, they should make this game a minigame in POTCO. That would rock.

I think there adding it in it would be cool if they made it so you could play that on a ship while the captains sailing.
