I cant access the game anymore! it kicked me out and the launcher refuses to operate properly! Everthing was fine until disney released that update yesterday!
I cant even go to its site! Can somebody suply me with INFO!

EDIT: Launcher works again but its stil laggy and buggy

Pirates Online isn't dead quite yet! The game is just experiencing a few bugs due to the ship customization update. I'm in the game fine and encountering the odd bug, but nothing that will destroy the game for me. Lag and bugs always occur after a big update - they'll be ironed out soon enough, in the meantime play the game and tolerate the bugs or come offline and do something else for a few days.

One bug that is bothering me that occurs quite regularly is that when I try to go through to a cave (I.E Wildwoods), I go right through the entrance and end up falling into the water behind. Sometimes if I wait at the back I'll go through, sometimes I won't. Will be submitting a bug report about that...

Is this a joke?!
 

The launcher started to work and the game runs like nothing happend! This happend some time after posting the thread!

It happens.

I blame their servers and knowledge on every-month patches they make to the game.

I have the same problem atm.. was kicked out of the game and now neither the launcher nor the website will load....

I cleared the cache and rebooted..... but no joy yet...

Happening to me right now.. -_-

It's been an intermittent issue for me as well.

Disney closing down servers now?

How could it end like this...

Don't worry a few years ago they took half the servers down for upgrades, so my guess is they are upgrading a few.

Andaba was out for a few days after the update. Didn't seem like any good change when it got back... POTCO got to have some of the worst servers if they cannot handle at least 2 thousand players per servers. Last time i asked in live support, the tech working there didn't even know the server capacity but guessed it was around 500 pirates. Even if his guess was doubled, the servers are still a joke for an MMO game especially considering there is a price tag.

Was just half the thread posts removed? If so, can we the authors of the posts get a simple notice with reasons of deleted posts?

I am here to share my thoughts as every member is about POTCO but i do not want my time spent writing and thinking here to just go to trash. They could of been transferred into a new appropriate thread.

Just my thoughts on what has just happened.

Bloody bugs!!!!

I have lost a few cargo full of ship material and good gold with the most recent and annoying bugs to plague this fine game... I report them, as I hope that you do too... It can take a lot of work to get ship material so this is quite frustrating...

The devs are poor they simply release the update with out checking some things on the game that my break the update!

While it is true that POF is not affiliated with Disney, I think it would be very foolish on Disneys part not to keep an eye on all fansites its the best way for a company to gauge across the board reaction to changes and updates.

No. If you want an update or change you go to THEM. They have no business on private fan sites.

Many large companies including Disney now have people whose only job is to monitor fansites, blogs, social networking sites, as well as twitter for feedback and comments both positive and negative about their company.

I hope they do have people reading because we are their customers. Our opinions should matter when we are providing for the game.

Yeah! People arent paying for UA so they can play a buggy game with an outdated game engine from 1980! People will eventually stop playing if disney keeps killing the whole game with an update. Lots of people are already wondering why UA is so worth it. Some ways to improve the game:

1. Fire all developers and get new devs who at least put WORK in the game

2. Stop trying to attract people with an ugly old game engine and start paying for a REAL engine.

3. Before releasing an update they should check if it wont inteferre with the game instead of releasing it and then care bout the problems!

4. If the game is down and the launcher is dead then they should keep the website open with details why the game keeps failling instead of closing the web

5. Improve Live chat!!! People are complaining about the people operating the chat!

Somebody should send an E-Mail to disney containing this!
