Just a general question - So all of the materials that are part of the customization are coming ONLY from Bounty Hunters and the SOTL Warships? That's it?

This is rather nice timing I believe... I got a game card yesterday and will be using it today or tomorrow (Thursday); so, there won't be much time between it hitting live and me getting unlimited. :D

I do wish I had a little more time with unlimited on test before it hit live though... lol.


The materials can actually drop from any ship (i've gotten them from normal and war class ships, and of course Hunters and SOTL Warships; but I believe light ships also have a tiny chance of dropping them).

WOOT! Mates! It seems the sea drops in live are amazing now!! I got Cajun Cannon Ram ( Famed ) and Captains Cutlass in one skull chest at sea!!

Anyone else able to get online even though they have maintainence going on? Just curious.....

Wait... your saying custom came out? It's still updating... If not, there are like 30 other threads like this.

They could be finally fixing the bugs with "rigging" before Disney cuts the red ribbon ( and release Ship Customization so to speak) :bookishfj7: :piratewheelgo2: I am wicked excited! :)

Seriously, mate, I am able to get on. The Brig I just bought and upgraded as much as I could. Anyone else able to yet?

It's not letting me on mate. It did update but then produced an error. How is it that you are getting online and the rest of us are not? Is anyone else online?

Only one person I know of.... That's a good friend of mine and she also is enjoying this. It might be a bug for all I know.... :o Lol, and yes, I, too, am able to get on for some strange, unknown reason.

Im using the launcher, let me right on at 12:30 central, Ive been sailing since, none of my friends or guildies are online, so I must be one of the only few to successfully log on.

It's UP - many are online, including me - ya'll come on!

Currently Ship Materials seem to be only obtainable from Bounty Hunters - be sure to get a good crew together before heading out!

Bounty Hunters and the Queen Anne's Revenge. I got some Rare Materials from her. The update is very cool, and it should be really great when there are lots of people on this weekend and over break. After all, taking down hunters requires a good crew.

Unfortunately, there are loads of bugs going on right now, including frequent game freezes (you can still talk with your friends and move, but player cards don't load, NPC's and other ships stop moving, skills don't work, etc.), servers dropping, people all spawning on a single server (it was Hassigos to begin with and later was Andaba), and more. Good news is that POTCO says on their Site,

Hopefully that won't take too long. The update so far looks great. Once the patching of these bugs is done, it should be truly outstanding.

Loot is always messed up the day of a major update. I hope I can get online later and take advantage. Speaking of, any new bosses? *crosses fingers for one on Tormenta*

When I tried logging on, it said "Free Basic Queue" and says 'Don't want to wait? Upgrade to unlimited access!" What's that about? o_O

I have never seen it before. And it won't let me in.

Was really hoping to get some more sailing in tonight, oh well, as long as they fix the bugs im happy! Lost 2 sea skull drops due to getting disconnected when I made port today.

Also, Here is a pic of the Cajun I found in a Sea drop today!

We made 3 runs and of those 3 we got stuck on 2 of them and then were disconnected. The same thing happened on test when it was first released but they were able to fix it. I'm surprised to see a similar issue on live. Hopefully the experience from test has directed them to the solution.

I hope they open soon..

In the game now, haven't experienced any problems. I bought a brig, and customised all of my ships. :P Unfortunately, I can't sail and try the brig out, because I'm very close to mastering and I'm planning a party. ;)

There is a bit of strangeness going on with the servers, however, because Hassigos is full and everything else is quiet (even Abassa!?). It might just be all the players clicking Random so they can just get in with the action, but it's quite odd anyway.

Noticed a couple of bugs when I logged on (everytime I launched my ship, I appeared in a different part of the ship, not just in the stern like before; all the caves, including El Patron's Mine and Cursed Caverns just opened out into water, but it was fixed when I logged off and logged back on, and I've been getting fury in loot even though I haven't unlocked it yet), but on the bright side, I've noticed that the enemies on Isla Tormenta aren't going through the floor anymore. Now I just need to start customizing...

Great update but enemy ships make such heavy turns that its inpossible to use some tactics! And also no enemy brig?

That would be cool to have an enemy brig besides QAR.

That, and if it had more enemy waves, too.

And it would be cool if they add the ship captain (through i sometimes saw a ship captain on a corvette)

It's a shame that they don't let us view the captain of the enemy ship anymore D:.

The game just made less sense removing it, as if nothing is driving the ship (purposely throwing this poorly written statement to get to the point).
