Customization Updates - Now Live on Test

If you have access to the Test server, you can now check out all the new ways to customize your Pirate. Change your clothes, get a crazy new hairstyle and ink a tattoo to go with it. Next stop - the jewelry shop! Pick up a new nose ring and /dance your way through the streets of Tortuga...you know you're lookin' good.

Those players who participated in the Pirates Online Beta Test (phase 1 or 2) automatically have access to the Test server and can log in by clicking on the Pirates Online Test Launcher icon located on their desktop. If you have access, but still need to download the Test Launcher, please do so by using the appropriate link below.

While we are not currently sending out any additional invitations to play on the Test server, we will be doing so in the near future, so stay tuned!

Hey, can I become a Test Server please?

Hey, I downloaded the test version but for some reason it doesn't let me log in. Does anyone know why? I type my password and screen name in correctly. Help!

Currently you must have been a beta tester to log into the test server. Disney has told us though that they will be taking limited applications later on in the year. (They said invitations, but I doubt thats what they meant. ^^)

Well, how do I sign up for a beta tester? Or is the update coming out soon and what is the PERCISE date?

You had to sign up to be a beta tester during beta. As I said, they will be taking a few people later on in the year, but for now you'll just have to wait like the rest of us. Trust me though, any Disney test server ain't all that it's cracked up to be.

The update won't come out soon, maybe a week and a half at the very least, and no one knows the precise date, not even Disney. ^^

Awe man! Because my membership is almost up! Oh well, hopefully I'll get it again for my birthday which is a few days after I get disconnected.

so how long time til its full operational on the normal servers.

Why does it take so long to come out? I mean, if they get an okay then why don't they put it up? Instead of having us wait so long.

it is still a bit buggy so that is why they are waiting for people to test it before releasing to live that would be why it is called a TEST server:)

at the moment the guild members option is broken and nothing happens when you click it also previews of the clothes are not fully working along with other stuff I probably have not noticed yet

I agree that it is a bit unfair on people who dont have access but it is quite understandable that disney wish to test things with a smaller range of people first and also that they dont want to pay to run the same number of test servers as live ones. also as it is in test Disney are not going to want to say a date for live release and then find some major bug and have to cancel.

yes I have access to TEST so it is easy for me to say this but believe me it was a real pain playing the early BETA stuff due to constant crashes and bugs and it was not just a case of getting neat access to pre live stuff , BETA testers are expected to play games that have faults and crashes that most people would just give up on.

well the point of potco having a test server is so that people can test stuff before it comes out (like check for bugs, glitches, ect.)

I'm guessing March it will be out. Considering that when I start to run from a standing still position some of my player disappears (the only thing left is the clothes I've bought), I think this is going to take a LONG time.

CaptainJhawk, they have to release it on Test Server first so we can test it.

I've found many problems with the emotes and tattoos not appearing, and sent a report in. Hopefully they'll fix it before it comes to Open Sever.

Well, we can only hope the bugs are exterminated before everybody has access to the new stuff....

Man, oh well. It looks like I'll have a long wait ahead...
