Jack On Jone's Crew???
http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w...fjonescrew.jpg
Oh my gosh I paused the HD trailer and OH MY GOSH IT'S JACK!!!! NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! Please let this part of the movie be like a dream or something!!! |
I think I get it!! `HockeySince in POTC2, Jack pretty much died in the sea, so he joined Jone's crew. But at the very end of POTC2 that lady [i forgot her name] ask what people would do to get Jack back, and some of them said 'Anything' or something. [I'm sorry my quoting it bad] So they might have rescued Jack from Jone's crew . . ?? |
OK! Mystery Solved! On Wikipedia, which we ALL know is the most authoratative source on the net ;) XD, it says that while Jack is in Davey Jone's locker (the sandy place in the trailer), he is confronted with many seperate aspects of his character. Meaning that he probably has visons of his past or what might have been his past. So seeing as how if he had joined Jone's crew, he woulda looked like this, he probably dreams himself looking like this. I'm guessing that during the scenes where the crew is traveling the frozen ocean, we flip back and forth between them and Jack, and Jack is having these visions.
Bagder, I'm afraid that you are all wrong... Hah. :( |
Maybe that is Jack's father. You know that Keith(sp?) Richards is making a cameo appearance as Jack's father. Maybe he is a crewman on the Flying Dutchman?

Captain Grant Sparrow is regrettably also in Davey Jone's Locker along with his son (THE SANDY PLACE IN THE TRAILER PEOPLE COME ON...) and NOT on Davey Jone's crew. I have cleared up this big question with my Mystery Solved post above and now Nick or some other admin can close this topic.

Captain, you could be wrong. The Wiki is made by lots of people. And people can be wrong. So therefore the Wiki could be wrong.
It's not like the Wiki is officially the all-knowing sourse of info. Although, it is very well-known. |
I was joking... about it being the all-knowing source...I actually meant it usually is COMPLETELY wrong....but I'm pretty sure they're right this time - I learned about Jack's death from that site in JANUARY 2006.....
|
Well, firstly, there is no Captain Grant Sparrow. There is only Captain Teague, Pirate Lord of Madagascar (yes, Teague is his last name; no Sparrow--this information comes straight from the writers).
And based on all the photos of Keith Richards and his photo double, as well as the 60% of the script that's available.... Teague never goes anywhere near the Locker. The majority of his screentime will be nearer the end of the movie. Based upon the script, I'd say that Wikipedia's actually fairly accurate this time, and the image of Jack as a member of the Flying Dutchman crew is simply a hallucination on Jack's part. |
Hmm who know if he is

Sorry about Cap'n Grant, I had forgotten about the name change. Thank you for backing me up, tina_als_girl. And you're right about the Locker stuff too... whoops. Now can a mod PLEASE close this topic? |
Well think about it, Captain Jack Sparrow was attacked by the Kraken, do you think he would survive that? Uh NO LOL. But, Jack owed a debt to Davvy Johnes. So, maybe, Davvy Johnes saved him to pay off his debt. His debt to be on his crew for ever, unless he got 100 souls in 3 days, which he did not. Just my thought lol I could be wrong lol.

Well, the thing is, Jack had a choice of either getting the 100 souls OR being taken down by the Kraken.
Davy said after seeing the Pearl being taken into the depths, "Jack Sparrow, our debt is settled." So, basically, Jack fulfilled the debt by being killed by the Kraken. So, he didn't have to serve on the Flying Dutchman at all. ~ "Meredith" ~ |
Exactly. Besides, IN THE TRAILER (come ON guys, gosh haven't you all seen it yet?) there is a sandy place. Savvy? Sandy. That's Davey Jone's Locker. Not ship. No water there. Just sand and sky. Savvys? And if you still doubt the Great Captain, then go to pirates.movies.com and click the door on the screen. Then follow Tia Dalma's path. you'll see that I'm correct. -cough-iShadow-cough-

Yeah, I love that the Locker, for Jack, is an unending desert. From the stuff I've read, the idea is that for each person, the Locker is something different, because each person's greatest fear is different. Well, for Jack, being stuck in an unending desert where he can't sail the Pearl.... well, that means he has lost his freedom, and that is his greatest fear.
And that, in my opinion, is the best portrayal of Purgatory/Hell/Whatever I've ever seen. |

Well, I've never seen either movie yet xD so I can't really comment LOL..
But Pirates 3 sounds good :) |

Tia asked what would they do to get him back. They said anything. Then she says the thing about sailing to the world's end to get him back. Then Barbossa comes down and such. When Jack died Jones said that Jack's debt was paid, therefore Jack does not need to be rescued from Jone's crew (at least from what we know). Whee for lateness in responding <_< -Toashtee |
In the End of POTC 2 the Kracken ate Jack so isnt he still in he Krackens body or somethin?
|
So, like how many months is this later? We've all seen POTC3... and we know what happens. This is one of Jack's hallucinations.
End of Story. Mods, Please Close. (If somebody other than a mod posts after this, I'm gonna scream at them.) |
I have seen it and understood it so ye will have to see it to understand it too.
|
Exactly
Couldn't agree more, the LOCKER is what any man/woman fears the most and suffers that fate for a hundred years, until being released. The movie proves that Jack pretty much fears himself. Or he fears having a crew who act just like him, he wants to be the hero, he wants to give orders, be THE pirate. You can't have more than one Jack Sparrow in the Universe, otherwise it will implode on itself, creating a super nova the size of 1,000,000 galaxies, and end life and EVERYTHING as we know it.
