Huge Alligator?
 

In one quest for Doc Grog in Chapter 1,it asks me to defeat a Huge Alligator. The problem is, I can only find Swamp Alligators and Big Alligators(Cuba). Can someone tell me where to find a Huge Alligator? I have nothing else to do...:vshocked::vrolleyes:

There was a huge alligator on Tortuga, not sure if it's still there. It's in a cave in the swamp near the jail. After you enter, walk straight ahead, you willl come to a house on the left. The alligator should be there.

There's a huge alligator in misty mire on Tortuga, just past the 2 fly traps.

That was a Big Alligator,not a huge. I need more help.

Offshore in the shallow swamps in Cuba.

In misty mire, there is a big alligator near the giant crab. If you run past the 2 fly traps, you'll find the huge alligator. A lot of people don't go far enough and just find the big gator.

I went all the way to the Rat's Nest.

Ok well it was there as of yesterday. There are also huge gators on cutthroat in the jungle and on Padres in El Sudoron.

Just an FYI, I'm online right now and there is a huge alligator in the misty mire. You past it - it's off to the left next to a little shack - before the big alligator.

I've been stuck on where they HUGE ALLIGATOR is located [this is the first quest where there is no ray of light to guide you, nor a yellow star on the map showing which island to go on your quest] ....

At least I spent time leveling up my weapons [I'm almost ready to purchase the 'best dagger' ], learning when to make the best use for grenades [attack a large group of skeletons or guards from a safe distance] and using the cannon [taking shots at small ships from a distance where your large ship receives less damage] ....

As someone who BETA TESTED back in September [before officially joining in November], I received my POTC ONLINE GAME MAP / CERTIFICATE last week. It's a neat gift, however I wish they had a better map detailing the location of various things such as :

- Creature Locations
- Character Locations
- Buried Treasure Locations

I'll be taking a look at the POTC Online Forums here to see if the Members here have gathered enough information to create a strategy guide [I'm curious to know where does the Quest end at ? - I believe it's in the FAQs that Walt Disney Co. still hasn't completed the development of all the Quests within the Game] ....

The huge alligator was in Tortuga but its not there anymore, a lot of people don't know this but if you go to padres and swim around the island you will see another part of the island that has a cave and in there you will find Huge Alli's, Fly Traps, Dread Scorpions, skeletons, wasp..etc.

It was there last night when I checked.

I've noticed that, on some servers, the Misty Mire Huge Gator takes forever to respawn. So if you're on one of those servers and somebody has recently killed it, it may not be there.

A couple times after killing it, I've chopped up a half dozen Fly Traps waiting in vain for it to reappear. Changing servers fixed that.

Thats a big gator that your saying, not a huge gator

the swamp in El Sudoron the jungle on Padres Del Feugo, is full of them .. they are the only gators that are there .. if your having trouble finding the one or two places in the game that they occasionaly pop ... go there you'll have more then enough of them ... its the best place to get them when you are doing your staff quests later in the game too.

to get there run through becketts Quarry use the compass to find the exit its the one to the right as you enter the quarry .. watch your step in the jungle there are many things that spawn when you walk around in there but if you are carefull the swamp is in the center, just like in cutthroat.

granted its not the safest place to call home since the undead raiders and gyps seem to be all over ... but well there are plenty of huge gators to kill.... dread scropoins, fly traps, stumps, Undead raiders, Gyps, Grenaders, hmmm almost everything for the staff quests are there ...

With that in mind, I just went to the Misty Mire and took this screencap tonight, Thursday 2/7, on Romana Ocean.

While I was there, it spawned three times in as many minutes.

I can attest to the fact that he's there, considering he's chomped me up so many times when I forgot about him. Stupid gator.

In Tortuga, Just before the set of skellys at the shck, there is a path to the left. Take that path and go past the two flytraps. The ally will appear by that shack when you approach. I did it last night.

in misty mire if you take a left just before the skellys at the first cabin and go past the two flytraps you will see a cabin. The gator appears as you approach it.

going from the beach into misty mire go past the first pirate and gator. (Just before the first cabin). there is a path to the left. Go down that path past the two flytraps. As you approach the other cabin, the huge gator will appear.

THREAD-MAKER NOTE: In the Misty Mire, head straight. Find a small path to the left, or find the Giant Crab Podium. You'll see torches either way. Find a little shack, and walk around the front of it. A Huge Gator will appear.

i killed one today, it's in misty mire near tht shack.......i cldn't find it first, almost died at the jaws of a big gator and a giant **** :p, narrowly escaped them and ran into the huge gator.......

there's one in cuba too but cldn't find it this morning....

Just as wild said, by the shack with no entrance to the inside. It will eventually appear.

Thank you Stormrunner I found the huge alligator in the Misty Mire you are talking about.

Hang a left at the first fly trap, go past the second fly trap and he is by the shack on the right.

Edit: You are right about the spawn time being a bit long on some servers. I was on Sanila Ocean

when I first found it and I had to change servers a couple times to find one that spawns faster.

in the tortugan swamps i would arm myself with voodoo (trust me it helps)
