Pirates Online Down?
 

Well, a few minutes ago I was playing and all was well. Then I suddenly disconnected from the servers and piratesonline.com is running extremely slow. Then when I finally managed to get into the game, no districts were found. Is this just me or are the servers down?

Maybe they forgot to pay their bill.

I have no idea, but I just stopped playing literally a minute ago because I kept lagging like mad. Over the past week or so I've been noticing a lot of bad performance, like damage and attunements lagging up to five seconds before they process, chat taking a while, and just today it was the worst. I was playing and suddenly everything around me would just stop moving and reacting to me. I could move around just fine, perform attacks, but it wouldn't do damage and enemies wouldn't react. I've had to relog about two or three times today because of this. Its really bad, and I have no idea what caused it. This lag is really bad and really annoying, but it only has been happening for the past week, which was after the last update, so I have no idea what the cause may be.

I haven't had the problems about "no districts were found" but I am getting the Bad Account ID and Password when I try to log in. It takes a few tries for it to actually work. Not sure what it is but I think I'll report a bug.

Yeah, I've been noticing some lag as well. I thought it was just me because I host a Minecraft Classic Server. I would click "Take it All!" in a loot chest/bag and about three seconds later I would hear the "cha-ching!"

i tried it on the launcher... it didnt work but it said that they are having maintinence issues idk what that means

I talked to someone on Live Chat, and before I did it said they have a "new" launcher. So I tried to download that, after I deleted the launcher that I had because it wasn't letting me log into the game and the guy told me the game is down. I asked for the download for the launcher program to put on my computer while I wait and he said the game is down. So yeah. Looks like it's that time of the month.

Apparently, the servers are/were being reset or updated or fixed on both test & live. Haven't tried either in about 15 minutes so maybe they are up now-idk Tried test & got the unavailable message. When I logged into live I got hung-up in a loading screen tp'ing to another island. Then when I tried again-I was basic which is incorrect. So, guess I will try again to see what happens...

I'm having bad issues too. Got the "no districts available" message several times, once it started to load as if I'm a basic account (I'm unlimited). Finally got in game and played okay, but laggy, for a while, then the enemies stopped responding and taking damage also. I tried to tp to another server (they were all quiet - every one of them), but I couldn't tp. Logged out and tried to log back in but got the bad userid/password message, tried the browser - it wouldn't launch and now the website is down.

They're having some awful problems today.

The launcher keeps telling me to it's "connecting to the game." and "Don't want to wait? Upgrade to unlimited access." Which I already have :mybadki6: and nothing happens. I also can't access the webpage

I can't get onto Live but i can get onto test. Weird....

No Districs are avalible, Try again? I tried again and nothing.

I logged on like 1 hour ago perfectly, no problems, but noticed that just about no one was online, and a few minutes after I got on, I got forced off. then I tried logging on again and it said 503 Service Temporarily Unavailable. But unlike all of you, I haven't been experiening lag earlier this week, even though I played for a total of only an hour or two...

At the top of the piratesonline.com site, this is stated:

i keep getting the message 'No districts available'

I was able to log on briefly and spent 5 minutes vainly trying to sink the treasure fleet......my 'bolts were having no effect lol....then i dc and can't get back on.....

It was working for a little while actually. I was just online but then I noticed that nothing was moving again, and I ended up having to do /quit. Now it says no districts are available. Oh, but I did have this problem right as I logged on. I was whispering to a player friend and then he whispered back.... 3 times. The exact same thing, the exact same time, 3 times. Here's a screen.

I agree, it was working, and now it's not. We need to be compensated with 5 Jack's Brew for each person! Good thing I purchased Unlimited yesterday and not today. Ha.

Aye... this is extremely boring. Especially since I don't really play any other MMOs. :mat:

i hate other mmos because teh other disneys are not complicated enough

and most other mmos arent on mac or are way too complex...

Apparently my main pirate is "Already Online" but I'm clearly not on it.

Edit: Hopefully my pirate gets logged off soon. There should be a "Log off" button or something.
Edit 2: Hopefully it isn't hackers. I would be mad. It may be a coincidence because I was on a ship or whatever when I disconnected. Maybe it still thinks my pirate is online. Weird...

Already online, as in when you get to the Pirates Loading Screen it says "Already Online" instead of "Play"? This happened before, to someone I think (KyleFace, was it you?). What I'm trying to wonder is why this is happening now, because POTCO hasn't done any recent changes... now that I think of it, they did take out the Father's Day Quest today I think it was. Perhaps they accidentally changed something in the coding and messed everything up. I'll bet that it'll be fixed by tomorrow or the day after...

yeah it says already online where its supposed to say play and i think it happened because when the game was down earlier i was still on and then it froze so i could move around but npcs wouldnt react and so i closed it without loging out and now it says alreayd online still

Oh good, that brings me so much relief. I'm glad I'm not the only one!

I was online for about an hour AFTER I DC'd the first time. It is really weird because when I logged on I could not log onto my main pirate because he was "Already Online" I thought this was some sort of glitch but when I went to the place where I DC'd I could see my main pirate exactly where I left him... So you can come online... Just not on your main pirate.

Has anyone managed to talk to Disney about this and get a reasonable reply?

What if I uninstall the game and re install it?

...starting to get pretty irritated now.....

Ok i can play as my second pirate...still get the black screen for Kat though.

Visited Kat who is stuck on the high seas battling the treasure fleet.....how weird was that..and its very quiet too......lots of frozen pirates about.

No live chat so can't find out what's being done to fix things either

I've been on Misty for a while and I haven't encountered these problems. Maybe they've fixed it now?
