Ships
 

I just saw this on the piratesonline youtube channel. It says "@All Pirates asking about ships - we've got some big plans in the works that will change how you sail and plunder in the Caribbean seas! Stay tuned..." So i don't know what this means about ships. But look for something in the future :)

Nope!! It was sadly Scoundrel of the Seas!! :( I wish it was ship customization or new ships.

I find it really wierd, one of the things in this game, a pirate game,to have had the least amount of changes over it's time, would be the player's ships themselves. Same old 9 total ship types for sale.

I recently came back to the game after a very long break, 3 years. I have enjoyed the many updates I've seen, but sailing is still the same game and the ships are nothing exciting.

Ship customization would be nice. Personalize a ship other than name for a player. Different type of ships, naturally.

I have liked the changes so far, repairing and what not, but.. needs more work, or a pirate game.

I really don't want Ship Of The Line. I wan't new ships and ship customization. Ship of the Line will be very hard to defeat, then people will over use them. It will make most pirates unstoppable.

At the last GM event Thatch Roberts said " There's still more challenges to come to be a true 'Scoundrel of the Seas'", AND he said us pirates would be getting new ships of our own.
Nothing on test yet though. I was hoping it would be this week.

I'm really looking forward to it. Customization being a huge part of it. This will keep us busy for a while. Just imagine custom sails, moving cannon positions, custom cannon types, different hull panels....etc.

I just want to be able to name my ship something other than Mystical or Banshee. Like, actually type a name. Player names have lots of selections, and you can still type your own name, yet there have been two times where Disney has asked for selections. Why?

Hope new ships come soon. I don't care so much for ship customization, because then you still have the same War Sloop just with different object and/or cannon placement. Being able to sail your very own Chain-shooting Kingfisher would be awesome, except for it's Chainshot and 1200 HP. But still, overall, new ships would be better than ship customization, in my opinion.

Or add original ships, like schooners. Those would be nice. I don't know too many more besides that, but it would help. Because there weren't just three types of ships, there were like 10 or 15.

Aye.....there be plenty of ship types that can be added. Would be nice to see the Caribbean full of different ships....

Instead of War ships. That would be interesting to see everyone's taste.

Also I would love for like ship custom because for example you would choose your hull how many cannons and repair spots. Then how many sails, how many people, broads, and paint job. Then you type a name but until its approved u choose a name personally I think thats the way to do it.

dont get so excited because everytime there has been something soooo good we have to wait 3 years though they said it will come out .. for a other update and maybe this

Brig of war :D

War brig here we come!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The war brig will be nice, I'd rather keep my ships, and customize my war frigate into a Dreadnought!

Still, i'm selling my frigate for the war brig!!! :)

So you'd rather keep your ships and customize your War Frigate into a Dreadnought but your selling for frigate for the War Brig? Confusing.

I don't know what I said hereBut Now I got myself enough for a war brig so, i think i will sell my frigate to customize it, but maybe just keep it and customize both.




Also Why can't we add cannons, add a new part of the ship, and add sails.



Lets say:


You find a sloop end in a loot pouch. You find a galleon center in a chest, and a Frigate center in some chest.

Then for sails you half to kill A enemies, sink B ships, and go to a dig sticks from different islands. Then go to a ship wright and put your items in. Then you now got One pole with sails.

that must be a pretty big loot pouch!?!?!?

Well why can't we create some random ship and call it:

"Sparz"

This sparze(regular) is as large a a sloop, as much armor as frigate, carries as much cargo as a galleon. and a sloop end, with brig in the rear.

So this Sparz has 30 cannons. 50/50 broadside, Att: 2 divided by the regular att power.


On sails, it has 5 main poles. 5 on the tallest. 4 surrounding the tallest. 3 on the ends. Then you have 2 little poles sticking out the front and back, The front has 2 sails, the back has a giant flag.


Ok so you get the idea. This Sparz can outrun, outfire, out fit, ect...

Ok but you half to create it.

That seems like something a kindergartner would make out of popsicle sticks :piratetongueor4: but thats just IMO
