Can't connect to POTCO? *Merged*
 

My internet is working fine, but when I try to play POTCO, it just can't find a connection. After I log in, the little movie starts to play, and on top of the movie, it sasy "connecting to the game, one moment pl...."
But it just stays there, not frozen, since its still running... But not making any progress either. Waited for 20 minutes... and nothing, still loading...
Anyone having this problem too?

Choose different server, if its happening before that screen, check other video games and if there laggy or having the same problem restart your router.

I am having the same problem too.. cant log in..

I tried browser, it worked for the first time, but there was no QAR, so logged off. Tried to log on half an hour later, and browser doesn't work too....

Same problem happened with me. I ended up just going to browser after a while. This might be their way of weaning out the desktop launcher, I think.

Yay, my browser is up! But the graphics on the browser is really bad, and there's random patterns and shadows everywhere, same as test. And my weapons look like potato mush...
I raised my graphics to highest, pressed save and completely closed POTCO, then reopened it... still the same...
Anyone experiencing this too?

Checking launcher right now...

Mine still has the connecting to the game thing on my launcher. "Connecting to the game - one moment please..." *snort* and it includes, just under that "Don't want to wait? Upgrade to Unlimited Access!"

I have came back to play this game after several years , and have a problem the only way it seems i can play is through the firefox 3 web browser is there not a way to play through the separate game launcher any more for the better graphics and game play? I have a lot better machine now 15 2500k with dual 6870 vid cards and running win 7 x64 pro... Before i was running a standaard acer store bought machine with integrated nvidia 6100 graphics. I got the launcher and it just sits there with the red ring circling for hours and it doe's not download anything... somone plz help I love this game and it saddens me that i can only run it through an out of date web browser

If you have Basic Access, the game will refuse to log in from the launcher for a LOOONG time. Look at this thread to read up more on the problems people have been having.

I run the game on Internet Explorer, if that helps. Crestshot does have a point, though.

Grrr... I still cant connect to the game...

So i downloaded the Launcher for Mac, and when i start it it checks version and what not, it downloads a new one, and then depackages it. When that is done it restarts and does it over again. What should i do?

Don't have a Mac, but from what I am hearing, Disney is trying to get pirates to use the browser version. I lost my desktop launcher for test when my computer went "Poof" & could not recover it. Now, I play test from browser. idk-maybe someone else has a better answer, Jack.

POTCO launcher not loading ? & is it worth it ?

My POTCO launcher isn't loading.
I mean it's loading (connecting to the game it says), but it takes forever to get me through the queue.
I have basic access obviously, and I decided to come back to pirates after a little over a year.
I'm trying to get on it to see if I want a membership or not.
I have only been on it once throughout the days of trying to get on it.
It seems really difficult to get through the queue.. or is that just me ?
I don't know if it's going slow because I haven't been on it often, or if it's just suppose to take awhile to get through queue ?
If someone could explain to me why their is a queue (or why I have to wait so long), and how come it's not loading fast.. I would appreciate it.
Sorry if this has already been posted btw, I don't have good eyesight.
So if it has, mods may close.. but I do need an answer. xD.

Also, is this game worth buying membership again ?
I'm not really sure, considering I haven't been able to get on.

I have a mac computer and I do have a fast connection, so I do not think that is the problem here. Before, when I played pirates.. I was able to play the game just fine.
I also tried to get on pirates in my Firefox Browser, but that wouldn't work.
The thing downloaded successfully it said, but I don't know how to restart my browser. :/

The Launcher isn't available for download anymore. Whatever you ARE downloading is probably just a blank thing. Pirates is transferring everything to browser, so unless you had it before, you won't get in via launcher now.

Going to get on live chat but the same thing is happening to me.
EDIT: of course live chat isnt working

Actually when i was in live chat the rep gave me a link to the launcher, they said since people are having trouble with the browser they are letting us use it.

I pressed run, should I have pressed save? Downloaded the new version, and logged in, still at the connecting to the game...

My browser graphics have strange white colour , with some other colours here and there on the QAR and several islands.

If they don't fix one of these problems, I guess I won't be buying POTCO's unlimited this summer... :sadmh9:

Edit: I just realized there's a link to a free RIFT trial in the AD on the top of the forum , I thought the mods are strongly against links to other games :piratetongueor4:
