Sword of Triton Compels Pirates Toward Flagships
 

By now, all Pirates should have retrieved Blackbeard’s Sword of Triton for their very own.

Now a strange shift in tides has brought many a Pirate into heated battle with ghost flagships. Pirates are suspicious folk, so rumors naturally abound…

Perhaps this be the will of Blackbeard to draw Pirates into his clutches? Perhaps even the mighty sea deity Triton himself seeks revenge?

One thing is for certain, it be no coincidence that Blackbeard’s sword compels Pirates to fearlessly disable, grapple and board these mighty flagships. What could all this mean for the Caribbean seas?

Pirates’ minds sail back to the puzzling riddle discovered next to the Sword of Triton:


This sword holds far more power than meets the eye,
for when a royal bow breaks water,
ye shall know her name and that of her enslaved crew.

... that says all.. well not rly... but there will be the... big update for it soon hopefully.

Disappointing if it's just some new flagships.... Oh well.... Pretty much what I expected.

Actually, I would expect NOTHING. At least yet. There's nothing in that message than indicates ANY change in the game at all...

Ghost flagships? Look like the read The Lost Phantom...

Perhaps they are going to send ghosts out to the seas, so we will be able to board ships and have ghosts on board? Going to the riddle...

Could this be El Patron's ship? I'd say he's got a royal bow (ship), and he has an enslaved crew. Its very possible that ghosts are taking to the seas around Raven's Cove... that would be interesting.

Or its the Flying Dutchman, and the enslaved crew of Davy Jones... you know what that means? The Kraken! Although I highly doubt that.

Pretty sure it's referring to the Queen Anne's Revenge and her crew of zombies, rather than the Dutchman.

That would probably make more sense, but I can see it going either way....

Aye, i think it's Queen Anne's Revenge. "Royal Bow" = the bow of a ship (not sure where that is... probably the front? It is Royal because the ship is called "Queen Anne" revenge. When it breaks water/surface, you will know her zombie crews.

I saw your post and checked. Test is STILL down. Who knows what they could be doing on test to have it down this long. Either they've taken it down permanently and will open it up only for updates from now on, its shut down permanently, or they have some huge update that they are slowly feeding to the test servers. The first is probably the most likely possibility, but it would be really cool if they made some huge announcement saying that they had some massive update.

So basically get some cheap rep with invasion and fleet spam then go smack around some enemies with an "almighty sword with hidden abilities" and mindlessly pulverize inferior ships while trying to decipher these meaningless riddles that really aren't that hard to reach a conclusion. This big back story is going to fizzle out with something meaningless like the ship of the line. Yes, CC is being a grouch. I want my trading and fully functioning leaderboards.

This is just another one of those "updates" that Disney puts on the Grog Blog to keeps us all interested while they work on whatever they're doing right now. Hopefully we'll get a new one tomorrow that could explain something. Or maybe something gets put on test?

Queen Anne's Revenge= royal bow. A "Queen" is a royal, and a ship has a bow! I think im going crazy...

Updates usually hit on Thursdays, but with Test down theres no way to know. I'm wondering if Test was shutdown on purpose so the new stuff wouldnt leak public.

Aye! I say that is what they are doing. I hope they have all the bugs worked out though...
