Will the Sword of Triton lead to the next big update?
 

Title says all mates. is this like Seafang and Ravens Cove, but this will be Sword of Triton and something else, like the Fountain of Youth? What do you think?

I think so... Mainly because im wishing they didnt put so much backstory for a sword.

i really doubt it... they hardly update.

One of the codes was for cursed seafang, the first cursed weapon.

This might be new enemies, maybe an island and a boss battle! zombies, perhaps...

Of course, adding zombies will help build hype for the new movie.

I would like to think so, but no. The sword will lead to nothing major.

We'll need to wait and see. If I see another update that builds on this one, then I will answer yes. If they go and start on something completely different, then I'll hit no and assume they just did this to give us a little sword. Its too early to tell. I really would like to say that yes, it is leading to the next big update, but I can't be sure.

I feel with the unearthing of the Sword of Triton and the mission to rescue the 3 members of the Marceline guild will lead to new adventures for us pirates.

I think this is gonna lead to El Dorado, Scimitars, Epees, and Rapiers that I've seen in the phase files... I think its much too soon for another Island or new enemies, knowing POTCO they wouldnt add 2 different islands within only a 6 to 7 month time period (Unless they're really going gangbuster with updates)

I think it will lead to some sort of update. Maybe not the next big one, because of the new ships... but there will definitely be an update that is because of this sword, the riddle that was found on the sword indicates something coming....

Yea, I agree with Sharky. They couldn't have all this backstory, all these clues and whatnot, for nothing. There is definitely gonna be some sort of big update.

I want new islands and enemies...need somewhere to explore :D

about the epees... u going into fencing so ill say what i know... sabre broadsword and epee r the 3 swords... dont ask me how i know bc that may go outta the descriptions... i like intense!

It could really go either way.

On one hand, this sword may hint off to the arrival of a new quest which is related to Blackbeard and the plot line of "On Stranger Ties," as both a way to release new and different content, and promoting the movie. Although, it would be odd for Disney to suddenly divert the storyline from Jolly Roger and Beckett's little minions, to Blackbeard.... but, still.

Then, on the other hand, this sword could just be a promotion for the new movie coming out. That way, Disney could still focus on the increase in Navy/EITC/Undead activity (although it does seem their increase in activity WAS for the sword, which backs up the first argument.)

Either way, we'll have to wait it out and see. Let's just hope Disney does a good job at surprising us.

Well, I am hoping so! But honestly in all my years of POTCO, they have never really updated much :l! So I don't know!

I you read the news on getting the code, it said that this is BlackBeard's Sword, the new character in the Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.
This could lead to the movie having a role on the game, as in The Fountain Of Youth. So i voted yes.

It is black beard's sword I would like them to add more then just the sword itself.

I said yes with high hopes that it really is a yes!
It's been awhile since we had any updates plus the game & website is being all wonky today...maybe they are working on something. :)

I think that the Sword of Triton will lead so some update.. But not that big. But on the website it stands:

"Mysteries still surround this infamous blade ... How did it come to the Caribbean? Is its appearance an omen of something deadlier yet to come?

A riddle scrawled on parchment and found buried alongside the sword remains our only clue:

"This sword holds far more power than meets the eye, for when a royal bow breaks water, ye shall know her name and that of her enslaved crew."?

And the Marceline guild has been doing lot of stuff recently...
I think that there will be a major fountain of youth update when the movie will be released :D

No i think this is another way of them saying sorry for having all the problems lately.

I think its just a promotional item for the movie coming in May thats all.

well if u wanna find out heres my tip... in some of the admin comments on potco updates they can hold the key to what it is... so ill say this...

1 of the admins said that maybe its abilities haven't made thereself know to the carribean yet...

Definitely. If they made us wait that long after hearing that odd story thing, then it must be somewhat important.

I don't think they will release that riddle without releasing something..., something good !

A new story quest + bossbattle (vs blackbeard's ship, then hiscrew) would be nice tho :)
Grinding enemies from lv35 - lv50 does get boring lol.
