A riddle scrawled on parchment and found buried alongside the sword remains our only clue:

"This sword holds far more power than meets the eye, for when a royal bow breaks water, ye shall know her name and that of her enslaved crew."



The Sword of Triton can be redeemed by both Basic and Unlimited Access Members. However, only Unlimited Members can equip the weapon and unleash its fury.

Well it looks very cool, but not good for high levels (which I'm fine with). The only thing that would disappoint me is if this was the weapon that Disney was talking about earlier.

Edit: I think this more than just a sword. I have a feeling they are going to add on to this.

Look at this part, this is the sword they are looking for! Don't complain it's weak, it will probably have a use in the future...

The sword is garbage. Can't believe they were pumping their cute little story for 2 weeks for that. This better be like Seafang, other wise...

While the sword is awesome I was hoping for a new quest for lvl 40+ pirates...

EDIT : Wait nvm... So I guess new enemies will come? and..... Probably the sword won't do as gonna on other foes, but will do a heck of a lot of power on the zombies.... My guess is?

A little off topic, but the POTCO Youtube videos are pretty interesting. That one for example is really cool because if you look at the guys weapon belt at 0:32, you can see the Shadow Cutlass in the first weapon slot.

EDIT: Also, based on the riddle, we might have to fight Davy Jones' crew or something like that. When the riddle says, "when a royal bow breaks water" they could mean the Flying Dutchman coming out of the water like it does in the movies, and the crew of the Dutchman are forced to be his crew.

I can see them adding Angelica, Blackbeard and Scrum, etc. as quest NPCs somewhere. Most likely releasing the new stuff near the release of On Stranger Tides

Im gonna come out and say it. I disagree with CC 100%! Yes, for higher levels ( ATM ) this sword may seem rather, well, garbage. But! It serves a purpose. Given in the hint. We will use it in the future. So, I suggest not throwing it out. Also, On my smaller pirate, Doctor Emerald, I was using it for rep and it worked wonders! So, for smaller pirates its awesome! So, dont throw it out :D

While the sword itself was rather disappointing, this sword is a new model, which is strange (and cool) , as POTCO often like to use old models with a new name. It does have an interesting name, and I was hoping it was a legendary/famed sword dropped by a new boss that I was hoping they would release - blackbeard himself.

I do wonder how blackbeard ever became a notorious and powerful pirate with that sorry-looking sword :laughks2:
According to the wiki, Triton is the son of the Greek God of the sea... hmm... They should have added some sword of water attack to it:)

Aye guys, I wouldn't throw it away just yet. I was thinking that maybe they will make a new boss battle in which you have to kill things and this sword either is the only way or does tons of damage to the enemy.

lol, I can see why! Being a broadsword = hit lots of enemies, and with... relatively lower attack, it kills enemies slower and gets more rep. Man... I knew I should have created a third pirate when I had unlimitd, he would have loved this sword :laughks2:

hehe... looks kinda like garbage... I mean, I'll probably redeem it on my little pirates, but not on my two big ones. I don't think it'll be much use for them. Although I agree that this sword is garbage, it probably will lead to something. Perhaps something big. Very big would be nice.

far more power than meets the eye=something still to be added to it
royal bow =navy/king/queen annes revenge
breaks water=is released/ship launched
ye shall know her name=what it actually is/what it actually does
and that of her enslaved crew=new enemies (zombies)/something connected to the sword eg more swords or more of blackbeards weapons

i think the most likely is

this sword has stuff still to be added to it when on stranger tides is released you will see what it actually does and the zombies will be added

but thats only a guess

When you're a completely mastered pirate, like me, whom all they do is loot because there is nothing better to do, a sword like this is nothing but a waste of space... Why should we hold on to it for Im guessing, another couple months? Half year? Just because small clues that MAYBE are pointing to a new quest and that the sword MAYBE be involved... Seems pointless to me.

Again I say that It's not trading... The Admins use redeem codes to switch weapons so they can show them off without looting. This isn't trading...

Hopefully the zombies are actually "hard", unlike the pitiful Davy Jones' crew in tormenta :laughks2:

Yes! I used it from about sword level 25 - 28, and mastered the rest of the way with my nautilus and bloodfire broadsword :)

The sword has alot of purpose, Ill hang on to it as long as I need to learn this purpose! haha :SkullBullet1:

Hmm, I think it's weird that around 3 years ago PotCO said there would be a Kraken soon. We have already had one story quest released along with new weapons, inventory expansions, and potentially this story quest. I think that the Kraken should have been released. But, I can't complain as long as they're are making this game better.

And I don't get the big hoopla over the Kraken. A big squid is going to stop our ship, get pulverized by a few grand blunders and broadsides, then sink back down to the bottom?

CC, i don't think this is about the actual sword itself, more what this sword has to do with POTC 4.

I don't see the sword coming in to play at any time in the future, mainly because, aside from the fact it is the "sword of Blackbeard," there is nothing that special about it. Perhaps if there was a little unusable skill on it that said "Does critical damage to zombies!," then yes, I could see it coming in to play.

But other than that, this is most likely just a promotional tool for the upcoming movie, and perhaps a little hint for updates to come. (I can see an article saying "Blackbeard has come to the Caribbean in search of the Fountain of Youth!" right on the horizon.)

OK now disney needs to add the Fountain of Youth.

Thanks for the new sword. I really like the fact that it is a broadsword and I was hoping it was famed but it’s rare so I will take it. Not to mention that the hurricane slash is very helpful, now I can turn the tables and knock the enemies down. Hahaha.

i hope u read that bc it says about the abilities... more abilities to come... bc obvious blackbeard wouldn't survive without some "one of a time tricks" now wouldn't he? seriously how would he survive many attacks... now now... - - - xD

I've already decided to keep my sword anyway, in case that it DOES play a role in the future.... if not, well, I still have a pretty cool looking sword :piratetongueor4:

Dear Journal,

There are various amounts of unusual things about this sword

~It is unusually short for a broadsword

~Despite it looking weak, it makes short work of the Thralls and Urchinfists.

My crew and I are trying to solve this mystery, but all shall be revealed in time.

Stealth

Anybody notice that the guy using the staff was level 26 and it was mastered....? Thought I would point that out.

Anyways, I don't even think this sword is all that great.

Hmm... I saw lv 30 staff... anyway, during 0:38, it is shown that he is lv 22, but by some miracle, he has 3 different cursed blades (definately not seafang).
Edit: should be 0:31, not 38

0:38 shows a privateer ship sinking.. If you mean the person at 0:42, I see a dagger, a normal sword, grenades and a doll.

Videos aside, I'm pretty sure there's more to this sword than meets the eye. Even though it's just a "waste of space," I'm not trashing mine. I kind of like it, actually. ;)

this sword has to possess some sort of power of the undead... that other swords are weak to... maybe... when the movie comes out zombies will invade!!! and the only sword to defeat them is the Sword of triton.... eh.... then maybe pigs will sprout wings and fly themselves to the butcher... to be turned into bacon....

In the advertisement, you could click on the bad guy Mutineers with Triton's Sword and it would hang the guys upside down by their feet and remove them from the deck.

You can see I was not very good at it. LOL

Yeah, Legend Black Beard ain't gonna use some normal 33 power broadswprd against Jones and Other guys.

man its terrible! i mean i got cursed lightning that can do more damage then it... i mean like come on 27 attack points.... dude! But hey i guess it is pretty cool it does look kinda like black beards sword. I just wish it did more juice then hurricane slash.

They are the developers they can change their lvl trade and anything else they want to do they made the game its not just normal people its them
