Fleets and Invasions Galore! April 7th, 2011
 

The Marceline Guild has identified an increase in recent enemy Fleet and Invasion activity. Brave informants have yielded the following information:

- Pirates should keep a weather eye out for more Navy and EITC Fleets than usual this weekend and throughout the following week.

- All islands should keep on high alert for impending Invasions.

The purpose for this increase in activity has not yet been determined, but something doesn't sit quite right, mates.

Stranger tides be upon us ... more to come ... so long as our spies don't get caught!

Not so excited over the Invasions, though, but any increase in enemy activity is perfectly fine by me. I have to wonder, though, what the purpose of this is...

First those two stories, now this. What is going on?

We already have enough invasions as it is... :/ Oh well... extra rep for Tiberius.

Maybe this ties in with the two French and Spanish brothers somehow.

Hopefully something new will follow this... something other then "jolly and Beckett was in a bad mood"

Hmm seems odd since the new movie comes out in a month

I wonder... And their last news post was 'Name Fingers and Point Names' which is a quote by Jack Sparrow from On Stranger Tides. Jolly and Beckett preparing for Blackbeard or something? Nah... not possible.

But why would those two factions align themselves once again? They already fought a major battle for some weapons. The GM in the blog says that this isn't a coincidence. And then there's the tale of two brothers joining the undead, and the YouTube account readying for a sneak-peek on a new update.

All Islands will get invasions? Including Cuba, and the rest of the almost 15 islands that the game has? Or by All Island they mean just the 3.


I do love their non-chalnt writing of hints and references of the newer product.

I have not noticed any increase in activity. The times at which things happen seem perfectly normal.

Honnestly, this is a sad move yet. Its already bad enough fleets are nothing but lag, hard to do, and get little to none loot. Invasions? Yeah I love them, BEFORE they took away almost half of the servers. Can't find quiet servers anymore(LAG LAG LAG LAG LAG), I always hear my fellow guild members complain about getting DC halfway through the invasion and getting no rep. The game has come to the point of being unplayable for some because they waste more time trying to get on then staying on.

Hmm... that leaves me wondering... will there be random invasions without warning or something?

They should only do invasions on certain servers. I guess fleets and invasons are all we'll be getting.. it is a f2p game.. cant expect major updates every month...

There's nothing new that's interesting in the files. Really, NOTHING. I found out about Infamy btw, before someone posted my find (from the wiki) to this site. But there is something that's been around for a while...

No I didn't, I wanted to know what those files were.

Oh they are the basic component of this game - the Panda 3d engine for this game and all. That's where we've got all our music, info on upcoming updates, textures, models, etc.

I know what the Phase files are. I thought that there were a different set of files found.
