Strange tales surround the world of Pirates and this one's worth a listen...

Imagine twin brothers, bitter rivals since birth.

The first, Thomas White, the favorite of his mum, showed quick-wit and resourcefulness.

The second, James White, favored by his father, was sly and hot-tempered.

Upon their father's untimely death, James left home to join the British fleet but not before ransacking his own family for valuables and cash - including his father's burial money.

A few years later, Thomas headed for the open seas himself, bound for the Caribbean. There the pair would renew their festering rivalry, but under new names:

What is all this? Is this part of a new quest?

Well, that was kinda fun to read... and as for who I privateer for, Cat privateers for the French, and Em privateers for the winning side. It's just good business.

Maybe a GM event, but other than that I don't see what they could do with these new characters.

It has the potential for one of them side quests.... But so far it seems to be nothing more than a fun little story.

I was originally thinking this was going to be some kind of GM event. However, Del and CarribeanThunder suggest that these two may be undead bosses that will represent their respective nationalities. Jacques would reside somewhere on Isla Cangrejos, and Tomás would reside on Cutthroat Isle (I assume).

If they are bosses, hopefully they'll be level 50 like Foulberto and drop swords. I'd like a Lost Sword of El Patron..

Well the French guy I think has gone through plastic surgrey I think. But, I wonder if the islands will have new names maybe? Or there would be a powerful ship that the both sail on and they sink the opposing side. Just a guess.

That's what I was thinking, Kyleface. Since they are undead (according the the site) they must be coming as bosses. Hopefully they are powerful and give some decent loot. :)

Well Shark, you have been playing this game the longest here. Does adding undead bosses and giving them a side story sound like them? To me, it doesn't, it seems like they add bosses and then the side story. What do you think shark? does it sound like them?

The old POTCO had no infamy, no RC, no cave of lost souls and no cool clothes. i took at poll, and most people said it is better now.

But the old islands sounded pretty cool.

Anyways, from what your saying Roger it sounds like we can get a new boss!

Yes SEAKING, none of that. All we had back when I played ( 2007-now ) we just had good quest, good times, no people calling you noobs, fun glitches. And in 5 years o PotCO they will be saying " wow, they didn't have throwing axes or bow and arrows like us. " I had great fun playing PotCO without all that stuff.

Ok, I have Spansh Tattos on Guy and doinmg the French quest. I like French better.

I will never wear those vile spanish tattoos! Those of you that know me well may know that my right arm bears the French Fleure-de-Li (I think I spelled that wrong...). I sail the tricolor with pride, and take so much joy in crushing the Spanish! Anyway, as to the stories, looks like we may have some new bosses.

Felt the need to express my patriotism.

I hope there is 2 new bosses! (Perferably with a quest and only have 100k LP, no more). But SEAKING23 does have a point. POTCO"s usual routine is have update, then the story comes. Someone should send them an email and tell them to make it into bosses :dancetl6:

I doubt we need to suggest this to them, as they're probably already on their way. "Only time will tell..." meaning (most likely), expect a Test update in the coming days/weeks.

Test IS closed.....

This will be a perfect time to do that SvS we were talking about.

Also maybe a PvP or two? :p just PM a time if you're up to it :p

I hope they are side quests and not just Bosses.

I saw Invasion pictures. Put two and two together, and I'm 95% certain that these are new bosses in invasions. You know those Spanish and French Waves? Bet you that they will come with their respective groups to try and defeat us. Sort of like the Keg Runner Update way back when.

It would be great if they only invaded the Spanish and French Islands and players could defend/attack those islands.

I like to wear french as well. Just seems to be more fun. Plus the Spanish guy freaks me out. Haha.

Let me say this, every single time I have done SvS the spanish have won! VIVA SPAIN! Plus ultra!
