Green & Gold 2011

Do you have the best methods of looting? Do you have the best sense of style? Are you the funniest? Are you the most unique? All pirates have something that makes them who they are. Each of us have our own individual strengths, and weaknesses. And in a guild as diverse as ours, we have pirates whose skill's range all over the Caribbean, and beyond! By putting all of these different pirates together, we have formed a well-balanced guild, indeed - but now, it's your own time to shine! http://i637.photobucket.com/albums/u...uperstar-1.gif For the month of April, I'm going to be dividing the guild up in to two seperate teams, based on two of our three guild colors - the Green Team and the Gold Team! (Sorry Black Team :() These two teams will then, throughout the course of the month, compete head-to-head in a wide variety of events. What kind of events, you ask? Well, of course, there will be the usual PvPing and Privateering - but that's where the line is drawn on casual events! How would you like to participate in events such as Organizing a Skit, Ship Racing Relays, Design Making, and Writing a Mini Guild Quest, alongside other classic events such as Capture the Flag, Timed Raids, and so forth! As ye can tell, this isn't your usual run-of-the-mill competition! I, and perhaps a few guest judges, will judge the competition, and award the teams points based on how well they perform both in the event overall, and as a team. The team at the end of the contest with the most points will be declared winners! But, then again, we're all winners on the inside!.... Haha, funny :laughks2: If you would like to sign up for Green & Gold, please post below with your pirate's name and level. (No using multiple pirates!) I will place you in your teams, although if you really want to be with somebody, I'll try to work something out. Also, if you are outside of the guild, but want to compete, either post below your pirate, level, guild, and a reason why we should let you join in the fun, or PM me with the same format. Now that both teams have chosen their captains, it is time to announce our first event: :pirate21: Pirate Theatre :AF1pirates004: Ever wished that it could have been you up there on the big screen, instead of the actors? Did you ever think of what it would be like to be a part of your own movie, or play? Well... now you can! In this competition, both teams must create a play, in which they themselves will be the characters. Everything must be original - the story, the characters, etc. Whether you want your team's play to be a dramatic romance, a firey action adventure, or even a comedy, now it's your chance to shine in the spotlight! Performances of the play will occur on our "stage," located in the port of Tortuga, on the beach. Your play cannot leave this area - hence forth, you may find it difficult writing a crusade around the Caribbean, if you can't leave one spot! When judging your plays, I will look for the following criteria:
You will be preforming your play in front of an audience (fellow guild mates, friends, and myself,) whose opinion will play a role in my decision - I will, however, have the final say. Plays will be performed THIS FRIDAY NIGHT, APRIL 8TH, AT 8 PM EASTERN - Hence, you should start getting your team together ASAP! Good luck, pirates! :buds: |

It would be a good idea to schedule a meeting this week to decide the play, characters, parts, etc... problem is that Davy can't come on during the weekdays, so I don't know how we could get around that, unless we give him a part where he dies or something.
I would like to schedule a Green Team meeting Thursday at 7:30 Eastern time. Then have another right before the event starts the following day. This would be the only time I really could do a meeting, so let's try to get everyone there. We'll mostly discuss what play to do and such. |

Everyone did great. I'd personally like to give a HUGE thanks to Crestshot for writing the final script- we truly couldn't have put on that good of a show without you. Everyone did amazing and I'm proud to call myself a partner part time ;)

Our theme is Poverty. Below we have a family of extremely poor people. Gracy and her husband Charlie are an extremely poor couple who lives in the shack behind them. Many years ago, they found a little baby lying in a gutter, and so they decided to illegally adopt him, and they named him Tiberius. Tiberius is mentally unstable, and has severe gas problems. As you can see, they are driven to wearing rags and making their clothes with whatever they can find. No longer do the poors have to scavenge - with Poverty's Fashion, even the poorest of the poor can afford the top fashion in the world of alleys, trashcans, and ruined shacks!
