New Shadow Sorcerer Rank!
I, Prim, would like to announce a new rank that Davy Fireskull and I have decided to implement into the guild's system. This rank has not settled upon an actual name yet, however, in the honor of the similarity between this rank and another, we will be proud to introduce...
Hall Of Fame Exciting, huh? Before I begin, this is in no way an attempt to "copy" POF's "Hall Of Fame" rank. The idea of this rank to be used in guilds is a rather popular one and we have decided to implement it into ours itself. The Shadow Sorcerer's "Hall Of Fame" rank is very much like POF's. It serves as a rank to honor past officers/veterans/any other members that were once in the officer team. These members of the officer team were demoted due to inactivity and will receive their proper ranking once more when they return to normal-activity. Officers who go inactive will be demoted to veteran. Veterans who go inactive will be demoted to member. Demotion is not the proper word for this, it is more of a moving into a rank of "Hall Of Fame." This is in no way a punishment towards inactive members of the officer team - this is simply a way to honor them and keep our officer list tidy! The "Hall Of Fame" rank will be set into affect on a date to be announced by our guildmaster, Davy Fireskull. The updates of the members that get promoted into the "Hall Of Fame" will be kept upon the "Promotions" thread, along with other announcements about promotions. *Rank details are subject to change at any time. ~Prim, Shadow Sorcerers Senior Officer |
So, am I one? I should be awarded "Most Nerve-racking", of course. The ballots were stuffed.
BTW I'm a Vet. |
Wow Dan... I have nothing to say xD
No Dan, you're not a HOF. I haven't set it into effect yet... I'm not sure when I will. Maybe at the next guild meeting I'll use it. Not sure though. Thank you Prim, for posting this. :) |

How bout... JUST KEEPING THEM ON THE OFFICIAL OFFICER/VET LIST? Do I oversimplify? |
Dan, the reason we are doing this is because we don't want to have inactives displayed as officers. We want to have the people with the official officer rank actually be active, otherwise we just have a large amount of officers... but only several that actually still play. See what I'm saying?
|
Ooh cool. I wanna be a HOF member! But then again I don't....
Choices..... |
interesting
sounds like it could be a useful idea for inactives but how do you know when they are active again
|
When they are active again, they can let me know and I'll give them their rank back.
|
What if we have two pirates in the sorcerers and we are active on one but inactive on the other?
|
That means you are an active player, because you yourself, are an active player. Both characters will remain in proper position.
|
Ok, thanks
|
Great idea to put this Hall of Fame thing in the guild guys! It will be quite useful to preserve our lists tidy, especially for officers. An inactive officer sounds strange lol!

PS: I guess I will be a temporary member of the HOF, then. My "new" graphics card burnt out, so I replaced it with an vanilla one (hows 1990s?) until I can track down the guy and demand a replacement or refund. He is on vacation in Malta. A week or two, maybe? I hope not, but I can't play hardly ANY games, and this, in combination with screwy Internet, keeps me from playing any POTCO. Sorry, guys. :( |
Let me clear this up.
The rank is not for short disappearances of 1-2 weeks. This is for inactive officers that go inactive for more than two months. This means they have gone by for two months without performing the usual officer duties. Upon notice of them returning they will receive their regular and proper status back. |
I never do my Veteranly duties. Does that mean I'm in HOF? XD Just kidding, but there's no need to get too firm. The tone of that post seems a little firm, and I'm just letting everyone know that I'll be gone for awhile. Excuse me for not knowing the amount of time required to be absent, but then again, the original post was mighty vague. It seems to me like this was something just thought up and not given much planning until after it was announced, no offense to the sub-forum crew.
PS, I just got off Windows Live chat with the guy that sold me the card, and it will likely be much longer. |
You cannot tell if a tone of something typed - I am not being cold or firm - I am simply stating that these questions have been answered beforehand, and the HOF rank - which as stated before - has not been put into affect yet. No one at the moment is a member of the Shadow Sorcerer Hall Of Fame rank. I am the creator of this rank, and the post was just to announce it - not describe full & complete details of the rank. That will be when the rank is put into affect. This thread wasn't used to announce someone going inactive, or bring on a conversation - it was simply meant to announce.
Sorry if this brought any confusion, but there should have been none. |
I am unsure of when I will put this rank in. I will perhaps put it in within the next few weeks, but I am unsure. When this rank is officially put into place, Slouyx and I will go into much more detail about it. Don't fret about it now. This is just a sort of a "coming soon" thread.
|
... I meant "firm" by being inhuman about the posts (IE: no sense of humor, no "Bye, see you then, But this thread was meant for:..." none of that.), over-complicating things when all I needed was a simple response, and not getting sarcasm (which really cannot be told through text, so that is forgivable). Thank you, Davy, for making a simple statement without beating around the bush.
|
Wait, are we still going to have this rank implemented? I don't think it was announced at the Guild Meeting....
|
Yeah, I forgot about it. Let's shoot for using it at the next meeting I suppose lol... I would like to implement it, so yes, let's shoot for it being announced at this next meeting.
|
Did I miss the meeting???!!! Man, its ok....
