So... I have been glancing at le formus... I want a different colored name. The question is: How do I get one?

In Davy's case (as well as any other clan leader) he got his green name from being leader of a subforum. He got his purple scrolling name from the Arcade, he won it. TSC got his green name from being a Trivia Champ. There are others, like mods are pink, and blue is for Hall of Fame. There is probably a list somewhere, I just don't know what it is.

Trivia? Where is that?

In order to identify yourself as part of a group, you need to go back to the User CP, scroll down, and then choose to identify yourself as part of the "Ranter" group. Same goes for any other usergroup.

The trivia channel was shut down due to lack of activity. It was combined with #vmktrivia channel but I'm not sure if TooHip is still giving out awards and scrolly names for it anymore. Haven't had a chance to discuss it with him since he made the change.

So will it ever come back? I would like to try it out.....

The Trivia part I tried giving it a boost.... I thought it worked I see that it didn't.... I felt flattered that someone wants to be like me.... Anyways listen to Batleth.... For the Force is Strong in that one.

BTW TSC (too many caps i know) did you get free signiture with that scroller?

No, you don't get a free sig with a scroller.

How do you get a purple one then DF?

Purple Scroll is by getting top three in the arcade at the end of the season.

And nobody cares about CM and his awesome yellow name? That's fine.....

Anyways, the only way to get a colored name is to win trivia/arcade, be a Clan Leader, a Founder (like me, but it's too late to get that) or become a mod.

I also would like a trivia scroller-thingy-thing. I have completed the arcade and reached the top four, before the machene messed up on me, and even after I answered a question, it would say "Hello? Anyone out there?" and after 3 times, it quit. Go figure.

1. Are you talking about the Arcade? Or trivia? You mentioned both.

2. Trivia is longer "available," meaning, you won't be able to get a green scrolling name. But if you want to win the Arcade, you have to hold your place in the top 3 for 3-4 months.

You mean the Trivia. For the Trivia Scrolling name you must hold a Top 10 position for the same period of time as Arcade. The Game will automatically shut down after 3 unanswered questions. You can restart it once its off.

So, TSC, if I keep my fourth position for a certain amount of time, I'll get the scrolly name?

Yes, sir. Just keep a Top 10 spot for a certain time and you'll be scrolling and green very soon.

I was about third before. But when I saw how many points I needed to get before I advanced, I got very depressed and left. How long is this time, because this was ages ago, when nobody was really on the chat channels.

TSC DID say about the same time as the trivia, so I think Tiberius should be able to help there, but then again, DP did say she got 3rd ages ago.

I meant time wise. its about 3-4 months until they reset. Best thing to do is PM Bat or Toohip.

PM them after 3-4 months about my score, or PM now about if they are still giving them out, because Bat did say that he wasn't sure if Toohip is still giving out rewards....

TooHip had been taking care of our chat trivia and sports betting for quite a while. Most of this year, he just hasn't found much time to devote to these features. He has decided to step down as a member of our admin staff since he has little or no time to devote to his duties.

Sven will be getting trained by TooHip, before he goes, to take over these features. Since TooHip has so little time, the training has gone as fast as we'd like. So in the mean time, both of these features are put on hold till Sven can take them fully over.

Sorry for the double post, but when Sven becomes ready, will al the scores be reset, or will we keep our current score?

I would love it if the scores were reset. The thought of having to answer 600 more questions before I can advance just makes me want to die...

And some of these scores are pretty ancient, so it might give others time to catch up.

But it isn't to challenging. It's just time consuming. If you gave me a gallon of cofee, I could get first place from a friday nigh to a monday morning! :laughks2:
