Admins I DO NOT like some of the games here such as, *****, butts or shoulders, Bars... foul langage.. I know this is "PG" site but the rated should be "PG-13" for that content and I don't like that. Especially for the young ones that may try to sneak in here.

Sorry for the rant but I feel it needs to be said.

I know you know this already, but it is a PG Site so that does mean that things will be different than a G site.

I guess your right I'm just used to TTC and never saw that type of things on TTC.

Pirates is no way going to be G-rated, so the site isn't going to be G-rated. I'll admit, I'm used to the G-rated'ness of VMKF, but this is something I can learn to live with :rolleyes:

Yup, I think that we're all too used to G-rated everything due to VMKF and TTC.

Either way, it'll be up to an admin whether or not the game stays. :)

Remember in the first POTC movie when it talked about Elizabeth Swann either being in a dinner with Barbossa with a dress or naked? :rolleyes: That is kinda this. Pirates aren't Toons. ;) They are a little more... what's the word.... crazy. :p

If you're against this, then just ignore it and enjoy other arcade games. ;)

As others have stated, you must remember that this is a site for a game where you steel, gamble, put cures on people and engage is swordfights. But, if you see anything a little too over the top for a PG, it's probably best to PM Nick about it. Even though the admins are the ones that add the games, they will remove them if users feel they're inappropriate for the site.


Although I agree the BB or S game, however piratey it is, doesn't seem to be PG.

Perhaps if the pictures were less, hmm, "adult" related it would be ok. LOL. Also, if they didn't like show the site name and copyright on them that would be ok as well.

I'm probably the only one that noticed that. LOL

The *****, butt, or shoulders one is the only one that should be removed.

I never saw any images in that game that you wouldn't see in any PG film or TV show. You'd see more cleavage and butt-crack from a shirtless plumber working under your sink.

Besides, it's pretty funny.

You know, it just occurred to me that since we have a PG rated site, most of the existing guidelines don't apply here. Perhaps a whole new set of rules should be written for POF?

I'm a little shocked that they would put a game up like that, but I can deal with it. People talk that way at my school all the time... so I'm a little used to it. Even though this is a PG site, I think that BB or S is a little more PG-13.

Also Prince of Persia shows some gore after a little bit....thats why nobody can finish it!

But *** isnt a bad word, its a little innapropriate, but its not really that bad of a word.

Actually, the first word I noticed to not be blocked is "suck". But yeah, I don't really consider it a curse word.

The landlubber games are a lot more...safer :) but none of ya'll can beat me in hexxagon!

only played Twilight Princess. is the game based on ocarina of time? because its in a nes format...but zelda's in a wii format...

The arcade game uses NES backgrounds, NES foes, andthe fighting Link is also NES. However, the clips that pop up, such as Zelda (saying OMFG) and Link being suffocated by the Zombie, are from Ocarina of Time, which is a game that was HUGE on N64.

No, they creator of the arcade game added Zelda's audio. And, she didn't curse. She actually said "O M F G".

Zelda has a voice? last time i played, only Midna had an actuall thing that could make a voice....

Also, the zombie never choked link when i played....and i have a naturall size computer screen so when a face pops up..it POPS UP...i gotta stop going off topic

and what was with that sudden graphic change during that?..i think it should be deteted to tourture icee. or at least a warning saying "Hey! Orcania of time style pop-up when you lose HP. If you don't live by yourself, turn the sound off!

I'd be better not to play the game..but "discuss it" so i can keep other pains out.

Well, I personally don't think that the game is too adult or mature. Sure, there's red blots, known as blood, but you have to remember, it's all virtual.

Now, back on topic. I guess I can accept some gore. Afterall, this is a site for a pirate online game. And I guess I could get used to having things like BB or S around this site. But don't you think that having games that contain curse words is kind of pushing it for a PG site?

To be honest, and I'm sorry to dissagree with you on this one, but I think it's kind of nice. The number one reason I stopped going to ttc or, even more-so, vmkfourms, is that I got tired of the g-rating and chatting with kids who were sometimes half my age. I like hanging out with younger kids, I babysit, but I don't like to on the internet as much, especially on a forum. Plus, as time went by, I accidetly kept including words like god(as in "God this is annoying") or discussing more mature things, till it became obvious that I coulden't talk freely on those forums. Here, however, I only have to hold back a little bit. Now, don't get me wrong, I don't feel joy at the sight of or mentions of ***** or buts, far from it, but I do get the general feeling from this game that we're definetly on a (for want of a better word) more mature site.

Well i've seen some..lets just say.."odd" videos posted in the past which were pg-13-R rated. also if its PG-13 you MUST require an age limit (for instance, today you would have to be born in March 16, 1994 to be able to register)

Actually no... The only required age limit which requries some kind of confirmation is for adult (18+ or 21+ depending on country) content.

I'll have to defer to Nick who understand the COPPA act better than me, but COPPA says only if we collect personal information do we have to confirm your age and the only thing close to personal information we can be considered as collecting is an email address which is required for registration.

However, I believe that unless we know for a fact we are targetting under 13 year olds on th esite we wouldn't have to comply with COPPA.

Again I defer to Nick and -RCV- on this topic... but to say we "MUST require an age limit" is just wrong. If COPPA applies we must require children who register to state if they are under or over 13, and if they are under then they have to have a parent's consent to use the site... we have no compulsion from any government to restrict anyone from accessing any material except that deemed to be "adult contentl."

As an aside, please just use the report a post options do not PM us or post new threads reporting other threads...

As everyone knows I am very strict in my morals. I play games with people older than I am. There are many of us adults playing "Kids" games. I will not play the one sponsored by the beer company for example. I feel that if a person wants "kid friendly games and forums" then go to TTC, VMK Fan site or some of the other game sites.

You signed up knowing this is going to be no so clean and prestine like TTC and the fan site. If I do not approve of something then I shoud stay out of there.

Okay, this thread, compared to VMKF...is like a sin. Lol.
I can't find BB or S, so they must have taken it out, which I think is good. You don't have to play these games. You can always stick to the O.K. ones.

But yes, this is a change from VMKF, (kinda a nice change) a lot more things are allowed. So far, it's not that bad. For now.

Regarding COPPA, that is a law in the USofA. We'll worry about that if we ever get any users or mods from that crazy place.

As for BBorS, Nick decided to remove it when he discovered that he couldn't tell the difference between the nice parts and the smelly bits.
