Game Appears To Be Down, Once More.
This morning guildmates of mine encountered level zeros. As a safety precaution we quickly set up a meeting place and player-friended others in the case of a reset.
However, it appears we may be right about yet another bug. Right now, I just got disconnected and I saw 17 guildmates at once go offline during an invasion. Now, the game will not let us log in, with the message of "There was a problem verifying Account ID." It appears the servers are down once more. This may delay the fact I'm quitting for the most part on Tuesday (can't quit with the thought of my guild losing 50 members and not being there to help :/ ) but this is not the point; The bug seems to have returned, and I really hope this does not result in a reset. |
I was hoping to see a post about this.
I just got the same message as well, however when I try to connect to the website it says it's a proxy error. |

Or be sad since it's been happening all week.. Or even worried that it may call for another reset. |

I'm starting to want to blame the solar flare on this one lol
It is a good Idea for guilds to set up an emergency location in case something dreadful happens again. |
I got in fine.... I hope a reset doesn't occur though. And the proxy error thing is different than if the game doesn't work....

When I use the Downloaded Game I get the error of not being able to validate my account, when using the browser based I get the Proxy Error. |
I'm on. Is anyone else?
|
Just got on. I hope this is the end of it, although we did see level zeros.

I'm going to superglue my hand to my Tyrant Blade so they can't take it. That should be sufficient.

Reminds me of the time way back in the day when everyone got reset to Basic Access Lvl. 0's. Ahh... good times... good, glitchy times...

/facepalm. Game just bit the dust...again...with about 20 minutes to an invasion. Tried for a few minutes to get logged in again, says the servers are unavailable. Although I'm sure live chat would tell me it's my internet doing it, LOL. |
Stella, make sure you don't facepalm after putting superglue on it. That wouldn't end nicely.
On a serious note, I am seriously wondering what the cause of this was. It's not too unusual for a bug like this to happen here and there, but it is usually fixed within a day or two. This on the other hand, is serious. They must REALLY be having a lot of trouble with this. No, they ARE having a lot of trouble. It looks like not even a reset is going to fix this... I wonder what is going to become of the game. They won't shut it down... but I'm worried they may do a reset going back several months. If thats the case, they will have A LOT of angry emails. I hope they can resolve this. This is really getting absurd. |
My Guess is the new Infamy updates. With a limited number of Servers, they needed to make room... Therefore, some of the "Unused" servers went "Missing".
Maybe sloppy codes? Well, the deletion of the codes anyway... |
I'd rather see them shut the game down for a week or so than do another reset.
|
I sure hope that that is what they do. At least we won't lose any progress that way. I highly doubt that they want to do another reset as well.
|
Its looking like my plan of doing absolutely nothing in the game but stand around, and do nothing was the right course to take.

If the problem is this big it wont get fixed for a while. This is because when you have to debug something you cant just take away a huge piece of code that just makes it ten times worse. they have to find the specific piece of code down to the smallest piece they can and remove it let me put it to you in an example so you can see how they have to remove bugs. First of lets say there is a program that has to do 10 things and it crashes so they have to find the code but it is extremely hard to find it out of tons of code so they have to make a small program to see were it stopped working so lets say it did things 1-7 right so the bug is in 8 9 or 10. so then its still really hard to find it and after hours or days they find it is on 9. So after that they need to find the specific piece of information that doesn't work and once they found it they are not done. Finally they need to recreate the bug in a test environment and if they cant its not the bug so they have to go back and look at things 8 9 or 10 . Sadly they are dealing with hundreds of functions so it will take them a lot of time to find the bug without causing more damage. Sorry if I got kinda boring or if I started to rant on.:laughks2::degen:
