Curse of Level 0
 

I think we've all seen it before. The level 0. You log on, and there's a nice little 0 next to your name. I'm currently unable to use any of my weapons, change my inventory, I'm "out of tonics", and the only thing I can access in the sea chest is Map, and that doesn't even work with hotkey M. The really brilliant part? It's on both pirates I've tried, and I'm willing to bet it'll be the same on my other two.


Time for bug reports to D telling them their maintenance messed something up, aye?

EDIT: Not only one of my accounts. And it seems we're not the only ones, Botuu. I logged onto Zo and found that I was surrounded by a LOT of level 0's.

Aye, same thing happened to me. I sent in my bug report and urge everyone else effected to do so too.

Gratz Crest! You did a NEGATIVE level up! How does that work? I'm stumped....

Yeah, seen it, happened to me. At least your not in Pirate Guild 0. That happened to me once, although it changed back to normal after a while.

Also, can't board a ship. I shouldn't be surprised about that one. And when I tried to enter a building, I just got a never ending black screen. Yay. Report sent to D. Don't log out if you haven't been gotten yet, mates.

Try waiting a little while. I dunno... maybe it will change. Just a guess.

I sent in a bug report too with a couple screen shots. I also BEGGED them to bring back the deleted servers. Pushing us together like this creates lag and decreases the enjoyment of the game.

I can't even send a bug report...

The Swamp Alligator in the above picture has a White Level Tag.

everyone is freaking out its even saying "im now friends with" all my 300 friends.. it kepts showing all of my friends d-names and pirate friends names everyone is 0's well im not yet haha but every thing went BAM in a matter of minutes way to go big D! ya made the game buggy again haha

^^^^ Lol. I have seen the white tags and such, surprisingly, I have avoided the 'Level 0' I hope I can stay that way.....

If you log out even just to the Pick-A-Pirate, then forget about not being Lv0.

Wow Disney, way to phail on another update. I can't even access my friends list.

EDIT: I can't even log out. The only way to close it is to hit the X on the window. Going to see what live chat says about this.

Yeah, this is happening to everyone. I got on before it all happened, and then the freezing started, and recycling of the friend's list, etc. I'll tell you what, something weird is going on with POTCO. All these servers disappearing, and now this...

Well, the server deletions are permanent, apparently. But this level 0 stuff, that's just one big dish of fail. All I can say is... glad I didn't log on today. ._.

Wow Kat! I can see I missed a few negative level ups! been hitting the Treasure Room aye?

I'm now forced to miss a Fleet. Bleck.

Let's see how long it takes for Disney to fix this one. It's worse than the bug that came along when Raven's Cove was released.

POTCO is messed again!
 

I logged in POTCO today and found that my level was 0, I could not sail, use weapons, log off (except from suing task manager), go to weapon belt, use friend list etc. And it seemed like I wasnt the only one, everyone else was talking about being level 0 etc.
Last time this happened, some ppl lost weapons, clothing etc after logging in.. ahhh I dont want to lose my famed >_<
Wonder when they'll fix this.

When I was on earlier, almost every pirate in sight was zero, except for AFK peoples. And they don't have a way to target specific forum people anyway. Not without a lot of manpower and resources that they don't have.

Everyone having same probems i was the playing online my weapons lock up so rebooted and log back on and was level 0 no inventory,groggy, i could still chat and tp that was it. Someone from my guild did not restart she still had her level and weapons everything even able launch her ship so a bunch us that where level 0 tp to her where able use cannon sink ships but we only had basic cannon skill . I hope they fix soon too many FAMED AND LEGENDARY hope we get all back . knock on wood

UPDATE: As of 9:20 PST, 12:20 EST, Pirates Online will be shutting down.

No no Crest, you see, Jolly Roger has CURSED the site. Its his fault! We need to find a way to stop him and...

Hopefully they can fix this.

the same thing happened to me I went to fish with 0 lvl and I ended up on the report a bug page.

^ That could mean they are installing Infamy ^_^ Although, I highly doubt that, it is probably to fix the glitch anyways....

EDIT: Actually, I just remembered that today was the last day of the updates they told us about.

Alright mates, we are back up and running as of about 10:40 PST! Logged in, and was able to purchase things, pull a weapon, change me clothes, and NOT have that pesky zero hanging above my head. Have at the pillaging and plundering mates!

It bites that this happened again but thankfully it is fixed now, :D

I first starting seeing 0's when my guildmate logged in. Then it just went viral! I even logged out myself and login to see what it was like.

Im not sure if they are adding Imfamy, could be repairs from that lvl 0 infestation.

Maybe someone is hacking POTCO

I think someone may be hacking potco with all the serves missing, the site messed up, the level 0's.. i mean there is no update that could have caused it.

It is not released again. A lot of the data in the Release Notes has disappeared.

Relax, mates. This has happened numerous times before.

This kind of thing usually happens before or after a major maintenance, and this includes the site, levels, and overall game glitched exactly as now. This hasn't become such a rare phenomenon as you all are acting like it. And while it has, in the past, messed with the inventories of pirates, I do know of cases where Disney has been able to restore a pirate's complete lost inventory.

I am one of the lucky pirates that has never been infected with this reoccuring plague, but I highly doubt this is any sort of hack or internet attack on the game, much less the forums. If anything, this is just a little error in the coding that always seems to slip in whenever Disney does something. A day or two, and this should all subside.

Oh good.. i was thinking about taking anti-hack classes on the internet.

I agree with Capt Del. Just relax a little and things will come back to normal. When they do maintenance and or upgrades these things can and do happen, in fact it is pretty normal to have some bugs and glitches during this process.

Anytime you bring down a database or server no matter how much you plan ahead of time when doing it "live" the results usually differ than when testing it or planning it all out .

Take a deep breath, now let it all out .... better. :pirate2:

No don't think so. By the looks of it the game is hard to tap into. Plus this happen on the last server change.

I hate this bug, I just got unlimmited access for 30 days and now its like 29 days of unlimmited access.

The next morning after lvl 0 attack, i came online, looked at black pearl, and it Pshed me back to 84%! I was 95% now i'm 84%. What should i do?:sadmh9:

From what I see, I guess that it happened to every player on a day.... What day was this?

Last month around Valentine's day. Lasted a week I believe.

I do believe they had a server meltdown. Everything, including their website servers, went down. So, I find that the most likely culprit.

Keep doing it. Lol
