Hello and welcome to the official thread for my guild The Elite Dogs the guild had ben created and the name has been accepted (Disney was nice to me) so I am making an official thread now. so, on to the important things first the rules:

one: Respect for others, this is self explanatory just respect your fellow pirates (its a POTCO rule anyway)

two:ALWAYS ask before teleporting to a guild mate this is also part of respect there are times when your guildmates have things they want/need to do and they would rather not have the whole guild coming to them at will, there are exceptions to this rule I.E. if you are in a crew with your guild mates you have permission to go to them at anytime. If you are hosting a public plunder your guild mates are allowed to come to you (its a PUBLIC plunder...) and if someone calls out for help (if they are knocked out for example) you may teleport to them to lend a hand.

3:you must be active friendly helpful fun loving and it is best if you have a good sense of humor (if you know me you'll understand this rule)

4:do not cause drama in the guild chat. Failure to obey this rule will result in one warning after that if you continue I will be forced to remove you. (although I hate to remove anybody I hate drama even more)

5:is don't ask me for promotions you will earn them in due time.
NOTE: I will not be strictly enforcing these rules until we are off the ground (except for the major ones like respect and drama)

Ranks: promotions and ranks will be given out as follows...
Veteran: must be active in the guild for at least a week must follow all rules, be loyal,helpful and friendly. All must recruit as much as possible.

Officer: you will have to work hard for this... you must have been a veteran for awhile and you must be very loyal helpful and friendly and it will be a huge responsibility.. you will be helping me to run the guild, so you will have to prove yourself to earn the tile of officer

Co-GM:this will be reserved to the most loyal and trusted member(s)

and thats about it for the ranks.

joining requirements:

1:follow all rules, failure to do so will result in warning(s) and if the problem continues I will be forced to demote/remove you.

2:be loyal what does this mean? simply put this means no guild hoppers aloud if you join and believe this guild is right for you then I expect you to stay... (just common sense really)

3:talk! it is self explanatory when I come online I like to see people talking and having fun with each other.

4:don't cause drama and we will be great friends.

5:you must be a pirate. do I really need to explain that one?

the 6th and most important be fun loving and have a good sense of humor. if you don't have that then you wont like me (lol)

moving on... if anyone would like to join The Elite Dogs please comment this thread or shoot me a PM and I will send you a code or meet with you in game if you want.

In closing I want to thank you all for the support you have given me in this little adventure of becoming a Guildmaster.

Wow Dog. This guild will do well... probably very well. You have it very well organized and it looks like it will turn out a great guild. No, it will turn out a great guild!

SEAKING I am making it on my second pirate my main pirate is dog gunmorgan and he will be staying in SS probably forever. and I am friends with Davy Fireskull.

Oh cool.. maybe i could ask davy if your online one day, and yeah.

SEAKING FYI. I am pretty much online everyday so if you want to arrange a meeting just PM me a good time,place and server.

Okay... so the guild is starting slowly... I would like to have more members by now BUT the members I do have are quality members (I.E. a baby sharky and a baby of Chris ironhawk's) anyway I'm not giving up I know that this is one of the hardest times I will have to go through so I am just going to hang on and hope for a few more members and of course do some major recruiting...

Again if anybody is interested in adding ANY pirate to the guild feel free to PM me and I will gladly give you a code

Something to remember mate, I just remembered this:

A Quote from an old GM of mine-"You want ME to GIVE you a promotion? I don't give promotions. YOU earn them."

Moral? Don't give promotions just because someone wants them. And don't be stingy with them, either. give them to those that deserve it and only them. I meant to tell you this earlier, but alas, I forgot. :P

Dog, do not be discouraged if your guild is growing slowly. Guilds do not become what we see as "great" overnight. Even with hard work, guilds take time. You have some great members from POF who believe in you and for that reason, chose to help you. From what I have seen you will and in this case, are a great GM. You have learned from a great GM (Davy Fireskull) and he is most definitely someone to look up to for advice. And my advice to you is to look around you. There is many good guilds here on POF to learn from; take a look at other guild threads, whether old or new-there is always things to learn. This is the best advice I can give you; everything else you have down already it seems. Best of luck and my guild and I will be there to support you in whatever reasonable way we can. :)

You have to give your members a reason to respect you.. i lead my guild with no gm, yet by guild mates listen to me becuase i give the a reason to. just watch me fight and you will know what i mean. i've lead defenses against invasions, and a whole lot of other stuff.

thanks Slouyx like I said in the post ^^^ up there I am not giving up... even though I have a grand total of 5 members right now they are all quality members that will almost certainly be loyal. so I am in good shape just gotta hang on and stick with it...

A meeting
 

Alright... the guild now has 6 members and obviously I want more than that. so I would like to have a meeting to figure out exactly how to get a few more people sense the 6 members I have now are the first 6 and they also are the ones that I trust very well they will be my Senior staff or (circle of trust as Captain Del calls it) anyway I would like to have a staff meeting sometime in the near future I'm not sure exactly when yet but it will most likely be a Saturday. but I would like to have as many of the Senior Staff as possible come to the meeting so we can discuss things about the guild such as recruiting and other activities and so forth I will try to figure out a good time and see if it works for everyone else.

Hey Dog, can I get a code for Billy? He doesn't have a POF account, so just PM it to me and I can give him it. The pirate he is putting in is Lady Monsta.

Of course you can have a code for Billy!! I would be honored to have a monster im my guild... he can help me scare off any enemies I might have in the future!! (lol)

Okay.... so the guild hasn't exactly started out as well as I had hoped still only 5 or 6 members and none of them are active.... I will take the blame on this because I haven't been able to get online near as much as I need and want to. So during my spring break I will try and get online as much as I possibly can and try to get it jump started If anyone would like to help me get it started I would very much appreciate it!

I would still like to put together a senior staff to help keep the guild running smoothly... If you would like to be a part of this senior staff please PM me or post here!

Wow Dog, your doing great compared to me, I only have 2 members including myself.

member wise... this guild is doing fine... I guess... but nobody is ever online including myself on that Pirate... I need someone to help me run it when I can't be online I might even though it's the last thing I want.. have to disband it if I can't get it up and running soon.. we'll see what happens.

A tough decision
 

Well mates,

I have been thinking about it a lot, and as of right now I do not have the time needed to run this guild and still perform my duties in the Sorcerors and besides that the guild has only a few members NONE of which are active, so I have made the decision to close Elite Dogs... I am not giving up and I do intend to try again possible some time in the summer, If I can get some help I'll make another run at this but for now I feel it is best to disband the guild and move Dog O'fury to a new home.

Don't think of this as a failed guild or as me giving up. I am simply taking a step back and waiting for the right time to try again... the right time being when I have enough time to run a guild and get it off the ground without slacking off in my duties as Senior Officer in SS.

I am truly thankful to those of you who supported me when I decided to try this I would have been so lost without the advice you all gave me.. and I have not forgotten it as I said before I am not quiting just moving on.
