Mkay, Let me try my hand at this...
 

So I've been watching, waiting, thinking, and doing some more waiting for the right time. And I have a general idea of what I want to do. And I have decided to try my hand at the whole guildmaster thing! Right now, I am looking for some POF guys to sign, maybe, their baby pirate up for a guild I will be making within this month. I don't care if you just created the pirate today, I would consider it an honor for you to join my humble experiment. All the POF members who sign up will have themselves carry the rank of: "Original Officer" (a.k.a. O.O.), a type of Senior Officer who has been around since the beginning of the guild. Upon joining, any of your other pirates will hold the title of: "Honorary Guildmate", which will be rarely given out beyond this point to only pirates I trust. This will allow any of your pirates to attend our events, regardless of guild affiliation.

Holding the title of O.O. means that you will be my most trusted Officers and it will come with a HUGE responsibility. In the beginning, you'll have to recruit. We all will, that's a given. After that, you will be able to punish, praise, or put anyone up for promotion without consulting any other Officers or myself. I will encourage you to keep in e-mail contact with me, which only you and my most trusted Guildmates will have access to. I will be creating a special e-mail address for this. The cutoff for becoming an O.O. will be after the first time the guild name and member roster is released. In other words, after I make an official thread for it, no one else may be an O.O. I would also like you to keep in mind that there may be other OOs. I may recruit some Rouge Covenant guys to help, so don't expect it to be all POF members.

If you can't join, or hate me so much that you believe you would murder me if you joined, or just don't wanna, I would appreciate your support and tips. I would also like a Guild to kind of show us the ropes while we are still in infancy. PM me if your guild would like to help us. I would be more than happy to consider everyone who helps as honorary guildmates.

If you are interested in joining, then please leave the name and level of the pirate in question, and where to meet. I will PM everyone who wants to join a code. There will be pre-naming meetings to work out the basics, such as: our name, our guidelines, our recruiting ethics, and weekly events to consider. The GM will be my pirate, Kleos Suncutter, named after the Latin for "honor achieved in battle".

I'm sincerely hoping I have a hand or two from POF on this long road. I personally believe that a guild is more than a group on an MMO, but it is something deeper and more symbolic. I hope to be seeing you all with me at the helm of this guild!

Man oh man, how much I wish I could join, but currently, all my pirates are in guilds that I'm pretty dedicated to. But who knows, I could make a second account too, but we'll see :) anywho, good luck with the GM stuff :P

Ok, today is the first Official Day of the Pre-Naming "Beta".

If anyone has a free pirate they want in, be sure to send them in ASAP because Beta Meetings will start soon!

Its alright Witchdawkta. It takes LOTS of patience... get some of your friends that have free pirates to join.

That's the thing. I would ask for help, but it sadly gets oversimplified a lot.

It's just not that simple. No one has free pirates to join and if I just recruit random people than the thing will undoubtedly be filled with noobs and trolls. It's a lose-lose.

EDIT: I'm deciding to name it and make a guild site with SMF like SS did. Maybe that will give me some incentive to want to actually build it.

I'm not creating the site until the name gets approved. I'd feel like an idiot having a website made that was named the wrong thing.

No, if it was taken it wouldn't let me send it. I'm not sure why it was rejected, but I've e-mailed Disney about it.

got a nice guy to join today. Found him on a public ship. hes an ok shot, not very talkative but friendly. Names Robert. I've found it useful to go n public ships and find friendly low levels who wanna join. found sarah that way.

I'm putting you in charge for a while mate. Not sure when I'll be back, but within this month for defs.

hey Dan sorry to post on your thread here but I was wondering how is your guild doing? I happen to have a young pirate that may be interested in joining a guild (I am interested in spreading my pirates out so they are not all in the same place)
