This is the first time I had to report a pirate
 

So I was playing the game and then I went AFK to make some lunch. I walk back to the computer and see this "pirate" standing really close behind me. At first I didn't think anything of it but then he turned to the side and then back towards me really close. He did this about 5 or 6 times. So I knew what he was doing. I got out of the AFK position and told him to stop, then he ran away. I reported him for rude behavor but it never gave me an option to explain what happened. How do they know he was being inappropriate? He never said anything on the chat. Do they have like a rewind button or something? But aside from that it just really makes me mad that he even did that. How sick does that man have to be to act out his sick fantsy in a GAME! What if I was a 12 year old playing this game and he did that. Hopefully a 12 yr old wouldn't connect the dots on what he was doing, but still. I don't take too kindly to sick people like that. Especially when there are so many minors in this game. :EnemyBullet:
On a related note...do y'all get asked a billion times a day if "you will be my bf/gf"? I don't understand that either. I have a bf in real life...why would I want a bf in the game to annoy me as well? lol but either way it's just a game...a game...why do u need anything besides friendship in a game? lol ok I'm done ranting now. thanx lol :SkullBullet1:

Yeah, I have heard of people complaining about those stuff for a while. It really is sad that people do stuff like that. Mostly, it happens on the Abassa server. So, unless you have a good reason to go there, I'd stay away.

If I have to/feel the need to report, I report people regardless of whether or not they've said something in chat. (Inappropriate actions and glitchers alike.) I've no idea if they can see what the person was doing or not, but I figure reporting is the best way to at least give Disney a head's up that there was 'something' happening.

When a male pirate gets too close to me, I usually tell them to stop and back away from them. I find that switching servers or islands gets rid of the guy who wants to be close. The only time I report somebody is if they are saying inappropriate things to me. Of course, I report people if they are swearing or speedchat plus swearing.
I am so tired of people begging to have a gf/bf. I don't want a virtual bf. I sometimes say that some random guy is my boyfriend to make them go away.

Sometimes girls hit on me, and its really annoying. i politly tell them, i'm not look for a bf/gf. i dont believe in the stuff in-game. And what that guy did to you... well, i'm sure parents haven't let there kids play the game because of that stuff.

sadly this is an ingame reality that will probably never go away. This is why I avoid Abassa, Andaba, and other full servers. And yes I have experienced the annoying boyfriend girlfriend thing. I suppose it is ok if u knew the person ingame for two years and liked them if you really want to, but overall, i think it is stupid and also the online "bad people."

I luckily haven't seen many perverts which is good... I don't really want to either. It would be nice if when you reported someone, the moderators could view what happened from the screen of both the person who was reported, and the person who did the reporting, so they could get a clear understanding of what happened. Yes, it would be a lot of work, but it would pay off.

Wow, I've been hit on by a lot of girls. I usually just tell them I'm not looking for a girlfriend. Especially one that doesn't care who she gets. If she is ready to accept anyone, then she is definitely not someone I want. POTCO IS NOT A DATING SERVICE! If you want a bf/gf so bad go on a dating website...

Well the best thing to say them is your a cartoon and avatars are just that and u r hindinding behind the mask fasad so take a good look in the mirror that is the real u so get on ur horse and be gone

lol yea I think I was in abassa. I just did that random server thing though. I never even got a "hey we recieved your report" email from them. I don't know if they do that but it would make sense. Now I personally don't care about foul language cuz I curse like a sailor myself. But I know when and where to do it and I'm good at watching what I say around kids. I get so annoyed of ppl always asking to be my bf. One time I was in a really bad mood and someone asked that, I was so rude to him. Usually I just say "sorry I don't do online bfs" but this kid I was mean, I kind of felt bad afterwards lol. My favorite is when they say "omg ur so beautiful" I'm like...u dunno what I look like....this is an avatar.....I dont look like this. My pirate has a tattoo on her face. I have tatts but not on my face lol But these are the people that are gonna be sitting down with Chris Hanson in a few years lol.

These are the reasons I try to go afk in buildings or water.

You can report individuals using the help tab at the web site and using one of the feedback forms there as well. Or even live chat...just make a note of the server, time, place, activity that occurred and the pirate name, rank, and guild, unlimited or basic...heck take a screenshot or two. I would use the report tab on their pirate card first, and followup with feedback. Ones on site get better responses. Some of these guys are making videos and posting them...so do what ya need to do.

I may have friendships on POTCO, but I don't want anything more than that. I can't stand how people just walk up to the "pretty" girls and start acting that way around them. I mean, this is not a dating site for goodness sake! :pirate2:

This has happened to me a number of times and i told the male pirate at the time to knock it off! Then took a screenshot andtold him that i did and was reporting him. It is happening on all servers. Know what nothing is happening! i sent a email to disney with several issues that i had in the game and also mentioned the naughty pirates,they personally addressed the game issues but said nothing about the rest.
my advice is this send disney a email and maybe they will realize how serious this really is.

I hear you Molly...its frustrating when you don't get a response or it seems nothing was done. In my case, a couple of the perps told me in game they had been banned/suspended...one for 24 hours and the other got three days. I had never heard back from Disney on them either. One had posted a video on u tube of him and a couple of speed chat kids..their chat log on the pics showed them giving him info in speedchat lingo...so I had sent Disney the link to that. Guess that kind of thing gives them bad press tho so is probably why the guy got the three days..should have been isp banned in my opinion. But, my point is...don't not report just cause we think Disney is not listening...someone there might.

I'ma firm believer in ,"If at first you don't suceed try try again" and i will get it through Disneys head to stop whats going on or dont advertise this game as a family friendly game.

Tis a shame that all of this is thanks to a few fantasy MMO's that started the whole naughty stuff...now they try to do this stuff on any MMO('cept EVE...lol) if they think they can get away with it...

I don't hesitate...I just report 'em for their foolishness...if they want to do stuff like that, there are alternatives...I mean really, go play the SIMS or something...

And as for the whole trying to hook-up thing...to me it's laughable...I've had 'em where one was like "OMG ur sooo cute" to which I replied "omg, you can tell that just by looking at a graphically rendered character to which I look nothing like?"...and one was like "I so want you to be my bf!"...course I replied "well you have to have at least a six figure salary and drive either a Porsche Spyder or an Audi R8 before I'll even consider it"...usually shuts em up or I get a "w/e"...

I have this happen to me too all the time, a male pirate will come up and ask if they want to be my bf I usually say sorry I don't do that on here or I'm married to Jack Sparrow haha! BTW what does w/e mean?

You should be able to send in reports on the site. More than just "report misbehaving players" but one where you can actually say, "Bob McPants Level 34 in the guild Pants Rule was doing inappropriate actions to my character bla bla bla" and then you could attach some screenshots, or even a video. They locate the person, find his account, and terminate/ban it. Simple as that.

They just go to another pirate under another account, Then the same things happen all over again. I know a pirate who 's pirate's list has four of five pirates who are all the same pirate and thinks he's getting away with something.
He thinks he is not cheating on his wife. Started im accounts and other social accounts to keep in touch when he cant play or so he can fool around because hes been banned. I guess the b/f g/f thing is taken to another level.

In a case where the pirate is not saying anything but is acting rude, when you get their player card up to report them, take a screenie of what they are doing with the player card up in the side of your screen. Then hit the player friend button, and take a screenie with the pirate's Dname up as well. Hit no, so you don't friend them, then report them. As soon as you send the in game report go here. Pirates Online Email Form This will let you choose the option report a misbehaving pirate. Now you can send in an email detailing the pirate's name, the Dname, and tell them exactly what it is the person was doing. Alternately you can go to your email and send a note to [email protected], and that way you can also attach your screenies as proof of what was happening.

Those ppl should just run off to Second Life or whatever, POTCO is a Disney game geez.

This is not only just after the rules but players got to understand this is agaistant the LAW in RL. Also I have to agree with Captian Monkeys going AFK in the water because of the excess amt of desperate players. Players however been brainwashed of being in Abassa to much. It only causes 1 player to spark something huge. It is VERY disturbing to see what is done to AFK players. Also just recently I was logging in and of course it sends you to a random server. Then after the loading screen went away I see a a AFK mode lady in front of me. I tell her that is sick. I move away but then she quietly follows, so I went to a building to hide and I thought I lost her so I grab a quick snack then I come back shes in AFK mode again. People these days. They just cannot coperate.
