World Eater Blade?
 

Hey guys!

I have been searching for the World Eater Blade for a while now and just don't seem to find it.

Any tips?
Do you have to plunder for weeks?

I've yet to see it in game, though I'm sure plenty of people have it. I only just got my first Legendary weapon from Smasho (not that this was a big accomplishment, he drops Silver Freeze like nobody's business it seems...) and I've tried for a LONG time.

If you look for the name The3rdjoker on the POTCO Wiki, he has an interesting theory as to how he acquired so many famed/legendary weapons...might be worth testing.

I have the world eater blade. i got it using a blood fire broadsword on a seabeard (not saying this will work for everyone, just how i got it.)

Famed and Legendary Cursed Blades, in general, are very hard to come across. I've been looting for 2 months and have yet to come across either. Honestly best thing to do to find one of these is to try looting for 3-5 hours straight.

Tormenta at the Thrall hall would be the best place.

I loot and train a lot at Tormenta and El Patron's Mine. A few days ago I found my first Famed Cursed Blade, Spinecrest Sword (yes looted), from enemies between the Bridge and the Treasure Room.

A little later, a guild mate found a Blade of the Abyss in the Treasure Room.
He also found a Sharkfang Blade there a few days ago. (he spends a lot of time in Tormenta looking for Black Shark Blade)

Its basically random no matter where you are. You can get a famed off a gravedigger on port royal or Smasho on Raven's Cove its all totally random. You just have to be very lucky. which i don't have much of either... only 4 famed....

Is it better to plunder in a quiet server, ideal or full?

a quiet but with a couple mates should help

Unless I'm at a boss, I don't like fighting in groups. Quiet is good with a few friends, as Stealthy said. This way you are getting most of the enemies, so more chance of famed or legendary. Honestly, there is no technique to getting one, all luck, determination, and perspiration.

Exacly what I'm like. Fighting with more people grants less rare and famed weapons. The only boss I fight with other people is sometimes the assassin bosses or Foulberto.

^ Actually that can not be proven, why? I hanged out with the Pyrates at Darkhart and got me a Seven Seas Dagger.

When i go to tormenta with my guild, i usually take about 5 people with me. i like a lot of people, as you get more epic battles.

For bosses like smasho, i prefer a full crew crew.

For invasions, as much people as i can get.

I've found emerald curse and ik of a few with world eater
I basically takes...... insanity?
lots of looting, and good karma ( and some luck )

I think if someone finds a legendary cursed blade they are super lucky, to find the world eater you are unbelievabely lucky, to find the world eater and somethingf else is unheard of.

Ive found my share of cursed blades in tormenta, Sharkfang blade, spinecrest(yes i found it) and Blade of the Abyss (:D)

Not sure if this will help but, one of my friends found it in the Thrall Hall on Tormenta.

Although the World Eater Blade does interest me, i think I'm going to be looking for the Thunder Spine! It's the best cutlass in game, and I think it looks pretty... SHINEY! Hehe. But that's just me. World Eater is harder to find though :/ Wish you guys the best in your quest to find it!

Now, I have to dissagree with those who say looting in groups produce less epic loot. It seems when looting in group, more epic loot seems to drop, but there is a reason for this.

Every time a skull chest drops, it may only appear as a single chest, but actually, there is a different chest for each pirate who caused damage to the enemy. So chances for epic loot is increased for the group as a whole.

Everything in the looting system is TOTAL lottery. Think of the system as a 100,000 sided die. Let's say that one-fourth of those sides are rusty cutlasses, and there is only one side for the World-Eater Blade. This is exactly how the games chooses what weapons you will get. When the creators created this system, they gave each weapon a certain probability to show. If you want to go along with my "die explanation," the chance of looting a World-Eater Blade is 1/100,000. The way that this is said is that you will get a World-Eater Blade will show up every one in 100,000 times.

I've seen soooo many screenshots of people finding legendary with the bloodfire broadsword, it's unbelievable, gotta find me one of those :12_1_138:

So my advice is: if you find a bloodfire broadsword, use it to loot. (I do agree with the above post though)
