Ship Customization. The Kraken. Loot & Inventory. Pirate Lairs. New Islands. New Quests. We have gotten a lot of good ideas from you, our players. Now which of these are you looking forward to the most?

Below is what I said.

Read the comments and they all said kraken or ship customization no in which order did they go loot/inventory new island/quest. Interesting how they decided to go the opposite of what the comments said if it is so then pirate lairs should be next and kraken last. Funny how Disney always gives us what we want.:laughks2::mybadki6:

The Kraken is a myth. I stopped believing in it the day I started playing Potco. Ehh some time in 07 I believe.

I believed that the Kraken would come for a long time, but right now I'm pretty sure it's never coming. I don't think they ever got it to work is why, but I'm not edumacated in the subject, so I won't say more on it.

Next updates I think are the new Ships (Ship of the Line, etc.), and hopefully a trading system. Then again, you never know what the mouse will put out next. :mickeymouse:

Yeah I think you guys are right we probably wont sea the beastie for a while if any time. But from those updates left I am thinking pirate lairs will come first though new ships ad trading might be before hand hopefully.

Pirate lairs... like houses? I want it! Emily is getting tired of sleeping on a roof :laughks2:

I would LOVE a trading system as well... I have a Bejeweled Broadsword that I don't want to just throw away... would give it away to someone who wouldn't just trash it and would actually use it :)

The Kraken will come.... in a long time.... a very long time... so yea, as good as never.

Ship Customization same as Kraken...

Guys, don't trust what Disney says. They always say that they will do stuff and they don't. Don't count on them keeping their word. I hate to say it, but I think its true.

Exactly Davy they are giving us the opposite of what ppl said in the comment section so comes to show us the kraken is extinct in Disney's mind. Lol next thing we know the kraken comes out yeah right.

D doesn't care what we say we want first, they have to release things on their storyline, so, if the Kraken *ever* comes then it will have to be with another storyline, which will only come out after defeating Jolly. Which is the work of another story quest. So, as Davy said, as good as never. I personally believe that they will grind down the rough edges with all the fancy new features first.

Disney already promised the kraken more than anything else, so of course it must be coming someday. Not soon, but someday.

The Kraken IS coming, people! There was proof on Disney Channel!

There was a Get Connected episode (during commercials) that talked about Pirates Online, and you could see on the computer, the Kraken.

It IS coming, it's probably just very complicated to make and put into the game!

I remember that thread... posted on it a few times. Suggesting things like Shipwreck Cove and new guild ranks. Well, one call was answered!

Mates, Disney takes into account what we want, yes. However, POTCO will be update to please the masses, and updated as much as Disney can give it. The Kraken isn't an easy thing to accomplish. And let me ask you this.. would you rather wait 9 mind-numbing months of having NO new updates, NO new grog blogs, NO new GM events, and nothing but a once in a while update on how far along the staff has come along, and then wait another 3 months waiting for it to be tested, OR would you rather have monthly updates and constant new material?

2010 was a great leap forward in this game. Don't think different. We finally got rid of those rusty blades and traded in for some heavy weapons, we got a bunch of mini-games that occupy our time filled with boredom, we got new clothes, and not to mention, we got Raven's Cove.

The Kraken will come. Maybe not this year or the next, but eventually, it will.

So until then, look forward to the other stuff on the agenda. Everybody knows I can't wait to get rid of all of my rare cursed weapons. Too heavy to lug around everywhere, and I must tell you, my hand is starting to change colors....

You all need to realize, Disney's updates are based off of a storyline. Until Jolly Roger is out of the picture, or at least put off to the side, then it is inevitable that the Kraken requires waiting time.

And in any case, I never really knew what is such the big hype over this giant squid.

I'm rather sure with all teh lag and glitches we get for adding a rather small island with NPC's that have one color of clothing we will never see a Kraken. Not to mention the thing would probably be in some really weak end of chapter boss battle. This game just doesn't meet up with my expectations when it comes to promises. After thias announcement I thought we'd see about 5 new islands by this time, and we have gotten 3. 2 were for SvS islands, and one as I said has nothing but ghostly figures and one psycho guy.

Yes, the Kraken will be probably one, if not the biggest update to pirates online. Patience, my friends!

But of course. I can pull it up in the phase files right now for you. While that does provide existence, and hope, think about this: those same files have been in there a loooonnnggg time. The model is pretty much ready, but could use some new textures to look less... how do I say this without offending Disney.... Craptastic. I'm sure, though, that animating and working on the damage and health tables and ALL that data would be a huge pain in the neck. But, just because they showed the model doesn't mean it's ready, agreed? I'm sure that when all the stuff is ready, then, BAM - Kraken, Davy, and a re-dead Jolly. I might sound like I'm contradicting myself, but still, that's a lot of work and won't come out tomorrow, ya know?

Plus, if they just dropped it in with no backstory like, "You wanted it. Deal with it.", then I would be pretty mad, wouldn't you guys? :P

The "Get Connected" episode is from July 27, 2010. They never mention the big squid but there are several hints dropped I guess...
