New boss on Raven Cove. .
 
Yet it's deadly. . And impossible to defeat him.
This new boss ghost is from new cave that are from by two bats are guarding. . and you go to left side of the area.

You go where the 2 bats are near the tracks, there is a door on the ground ...go in and follow the path.

On test He is in cave of lost souls...one on left..

He can be defeated ...takes 3 or 4 beating on him while 3 or 4 heal...

Takes 7- 10 minutes...then no loot !! fun for high lelev pirates

Interesting, but I'll stick to darkhart, this guy seems to be nice for cursed weapons, but now that everybody will be moving to him darkhart abassa might have a little less people. :P

I told them "the enemies in cave of lost souls are pitiful low level enemies.There should be a level 50 boss that has over 70k life for us to kill, otherwise all the enemies in game die within 2 shots of a blunderbuss"
lol when he releases to live, he would probably still go down pretty fast if enough blunderers find him =D

He laughs like El Patron too. You can kill him with 2 -3 level 50s using sword, gun or whatever. You also need 4 or more low levels to heal you.(Under 40) A level 45 or higher can help attack with the 50s. People will die often and make sure to have the healers there! This is a great challenge for us level 50s with nothing to do.

Nice to have a new boss and all, but even on the less popular servers there's a ton of people in there which equals massive lag fest...

Was in the cave with about 20 other pirates...took this new boss out 5 times and yes it takes a lot to do so...but like others, not a single drop...will stick to Darkhart because on the less popular servers you can have at him many times by yourself...

I'm wondering, is that a Rage Ghost boss? Or is it an entirely different class of ghosts that we haven't even seen yet? So many possibilities...

He is an amazing ghost using Dagger, like an EITC Assassin.... THAT'S IT! Foulberto Smasho is an Assassin Ghost Boss. Lets leave it at that, and he is tough, he knocked me out 4 times attempting to kill him with a group of other people. He is now the toughest Boss ever to be added to the game, formerly the title was Devil Root. Devil Root, ye have competition lol

I fought him many times with some friends. We all died. This boss is a great addition to the game and a really tough one too! Good luck guys!

Far from fun. This monster has 100 times the health of my level 44 pirate! Took over a half an hour to get him half down, and that with a 50, 49, 47 and 44 fighting!! To top it all off no loot, use a mountain of tonics, and multiple trips to jail? No, not fun, I'm done with him an NOT going back.

That's the challenge part of it... my guild could take him, but we'd lose a lot of good pirates.

A few guildies, a friend and I all went out to take out Smasho last night. We managed to do it a few times unscaved, although we did have a knock out or two here and there.

What I suggest is designating at least two healers for your group, so you can keep the healing consistent. The rest of the group should run around using their strongest gun, like a blunderbuss. Do not try and take him at close range, or stand in one spot.

I've never faced him, but i'll think i'll have some maxed pirates attacking him with sword, and we'll have some pirates attacking him from behind with dagger. i will also have some snipers and people with blunderbuss blasting away. maybe some healers.

Yea this dude is very tough... The El Patron Lost Sword was useless...I used Bitter End and kept using freeze, had one person healing me (the two of us are level 50) ......we took him down a couple times but it also took about 10 mins each time! He did not drop a thing, but hopefully this is a glitch of some sort and he will be dropping some good stuff soon. His laugh is just like El Patron's. Creepy!

Good to know. I used it solo against El Patron himself to the end result with great satisfaction. Now the Bitter End I was rewarded for said battle will give me an edge on this new baddie!

I have the dark mutineer, witch is better `than the lost sword. 85 attack, and dark form, witch its a break attack. it turns me into a ghost, plus it has voodoo drain. I still probably wont be able to solo him.

Best way that I found to take him down easily is to go about it in a tradtional mmo way. A group of at least 4 or 5. 2 people fight him at close range, 1 person shoots him or blasts him with the staff, and 2 people heal and do voodoo damage. But, make sure that each healer has the other healer attuned in case the boss tries to run at him/her.

I was, however, able to duo him with a friend of mine. It was no easy task and took like a half an hour. We both used voodoo dolls and ran around in circles damaging him, healing each other along the way.

I love this boss! So fun and challenging. Can't wait for him to actually start dropping some loot! :D

I hope that when he does start actually dropping loot, he drops things like Darkhart does (including cursed weapons). I will be very sad if he's just like a Rage Ghost, in that he drops one thing and one thing only..

Goodness. I was on Andaba with at least four or five other people, including some of my guild. He's really powerful, but there has got to be some weakness he has... Here's what I've noticed though. His attacks do double to triple the damage a normal level 50 enemy would do. This makes it really difficult to fight him, because his attacks will almost always hit. He uses dagger, so you cant run around him with a doll so that he can't hit you like you would do with a sword user. He can still throw knives at you. However, here is one thing I noticed as well. If you are fighting in a large group, he seems to switch targets fairly often. This is good because while one person is being attacked, the other is healing. See what I mean?

I'll see if I can figure out some more stuff about our good friend Mr. Smasho...

I wouldn't really say he deals more damage, a level 50 thrall was able to deal as much damage as him, but it's harder to notice because 1. most thralls are not 50, only a fraction of them are, 2. thralls die in 1 shot of blunderbuss, often before then can even attack you.

Nay, he does more damage. A level 50 Thrall can't take away a quarter of my health in one attack, unless its bladestorm.

It is a welcome addition to have a foe that is as tough as smasho but I really do hope and think we should be rewarded with a loot drop after bringing him down.

i was thinking they add rank 4 and 5 chests and fixing him

or maybe he always drops rare or better weapons? not saying it has to be famed like every 2 kills, but just.. no common and crude stuff, his attacks are so deadly, he has to be using some powerful blade there..

I think I may know. Remember how the cave splits into two parts, and at the bottom of one cave is Mr. Smasho and the other one is some fungus and bats? I think that those enemies are on the other side of the wall you are looking at, and that would be the base of the other tunnel, with the fungus and bats. Just a guess, but that seems most logical to me.

A group of about 7 of us took him down. It took a little longer because we had 5 people healing and only 3 fighting. I used doll on him as I was healing.

Look... this is obviously a half finished (if that) new part of the game. No doubt the coders were pressured to release whatever they had so far to the mains (not TEST), and naturally, in their hurry they forget to log onto a Mac to notice they couldn't even LOG IN! But I digress. It was obvious to me from my time on TEST that this stanchion is an entrance to another cave, a cave that doesn't yet exist. This new boss was obviously put in to make it difficult to get to the other cave. As you know from fighting Darkheart, if you take too long to kill him, you don't get a drop. Similarly, EVERYONE takes too long to kill the new boss, and the coders put him in the game to satisfy their employers and perhaps didn't have time to set the AI correctly. I believe he IS giving drops, but nobody but NOBODY can kill him fast enough to get them. Of course, the AI they intend will also open the door to the new cave... perhaps he doesn't give any drops at all when they finally get to making the cave this door goes to.

In any event, we're looking at a half finished cave system, so of course it doesn't make sense.

Well, that sounds awesome! Though, if this is the case, he should at least drop loot pouches if they decide to make him the key to enter another cave, aye?
