Graphics bug?

Everytime I get to where I choose my character, the graphics don't fully load. It's really choppy and you can't even see what the words are... Any help?

( It was working fine 2 days ago, so it's not my graphics card. )

Is this on Public or test?

ScurvyCory 11-03-2007 10:04 PM

It's the Test Server.

Goofy Pirate 11-03-2007 10:20 PM

I'm having the same troubles.

SavvyPink 11-06-2007 01:26 AM

Mine are also doing this, my character looks rather odd, luckily I at least memorized where things are already though! XD

I think Disney went a tad bit too far with the "aging" look...

lol A little too much sinking into the deep blue sea ;P

ScurvyCory 11-07-2007 12:06 AM

Dang it! It's now on open too! Now I can't even play POTCO.

SassaFrazz 11-07-2007 12:11 AM

That's happening to me too.... :zu02zq: :zu02zq:

i'm doing everything the FAQ says about graphics issues... ._. i hope it helps.

I had that today on both Open and Test - I updated video card drivers and it was fixed. Umm, Dizzy had the same problem, but had no new updates - I'll ask her to post how she fixed it.

I sent a bug report but by the time they replied, I'd fixed it - Disney always tells ya to update drivers. ;)

ScurvyCory 11-07-2007 12:37 AM

I did what the FAQ's told me to, but what does it mean to " Use your favorite search engine to search your driver? "

SassaFrazz 11-07-2007 12:42 AM

>.< it's still not working.

and I really don't understand what the FAQ is saying for updating the video card drivers..

sunday_monkey 11-07-2007 01:20 AM

Ugh. I'm having this issue too. Grrr... it was fine yesterday! :degen:

SassaFrazz 11-07-2007 01:33 AM

yeah. it was fine yesterday... :( >.<

ScurvyCory 11-07-2007 01:34 AM

Live Chat can't help with it... I've talked to them twice.

Seems like everybody with the ati2dvag.dll Driver is having the the same problems. Guess I have to spend some more money to actually play the game. >_<

Yep, that's my driver too. Okay, it's really upsetting me that the game worked perfectly fine and now they can't help us fix it?! Not cool. It obviously is due to something they recently did.

ScurvyCory 11-07-2007 01:47 AM

Yes, we shouldn't have to pay for a new driver since it's their fault.

SassaFrazz 11-07-2007 01:48 AM

>.< i know. i've tried many things, but none have seemed to work. hopefully it will be fixed soon...

Davy 11-07-2007 01:50 AM

If it isn't fixed in a little while, I seriously will SCREAM! This game rocks, but it stinks now that I can't see anything. I did make a ton of money on a sailing trip though - I couldn't see much, but of what I did see, the glitch of graphics also brings more treasure chests from easy ships! Woohoo. I'm gonna go do it again lol.

Driver updates are free, the only tyhing you would have to pay for is if you require a computer upgrade ie a new graphics card or more memory and this would happen with most newer games so is not potc specific

SassaFrazz 11-07-2007 10:15 PM

OK. I contacted them last night, and today I got an e-mail that said they fixed the problem. I'm logging in right now, and I'm pretty sure it will be fixed ;)
