Earring?
 

Umm...so I have to dig up an earring from a treasure chest on Port Royal I think, but I never find it! I think I've dug up like a dozen separate locations but I get nothing! I've found stuff for some of my other quests, but for that one, nada. Am I missing something?

The earring is on Tortuga, when I found it. :)

I dunno, I've checked a buncha dig sites on both islands (plus others...) I think I'm just gonna drop the quest because I'm gettin' nothing

I found on Beta near Lucinda on PR, but I am having trouble finding on open also.

I've had a couple of people asking me for help finding it too. Ahaaa... ^^;

Some friends from Test told me Yellow Dan's quest was bugged - seems no one they knew of had been able to complete it. I just dropped that quest for now.

helping sam seabones the curse of yellow dan? is this the one were all talking about? i have had that sence day one, i have yet to find it. i have put in bug reports and goten noting back. if anyone has found it and reads this let me know? or if a dev reads this tell us its buged or no it isnt were just not looking in the right place. I have covered every inch of PR and Tortoga as well as dug many spots on other islands, no luck. thakns

I couldn't find Yellow Dans anywhere... I finally droped the task.

Yellow Dans quest isn't even an option anymore. Now the only quest Sam offers is kill 2 skeletons.

I've quit and restarted the Seabones quest at the same earring point with no luck. I guess it's bugged til they want to fix it. I'd suggest dropping it until you hear good news of it working.

I was able to get the quest last night, about 6:30 PM CST, from Sam Seabones (along with kill skelly quest), but have been unable to find the earring. I did manage to find the Port Royal Navy Medal in a chest near Lucinda after getting earring quest.

I was still getting offered the earring quest last night as well, so it doesn't seem that they've eliminated the quest OR fixed the bug.

Any updates on this? anyone able to find yet?

Still havent fixed it and still giving it out. So many bugs and no answers I have dropped this quest 3 or 4 times now.

The quest was gone for a while, and it came back. I was going to Sam everyday to pick up the hunt skeletons quest several times a day. So I know it wasn't being offered for awhile.

I thought when it was offered again, they had fixed the bug, but apparently it hasn't been fixed yet, or we just haven't stumbled across the right dig spot.

well i am here to solve this once and for all. i just found the earring, it is between two rocks across from Lucinda by the guy cutting wood. dug something up and finished the earring quest.

Woot that's good news :) They finally put it in the game! lol

i have done the quest like 4 times now for money but the second part is kill two skeletons to get another earring

Just found Sam Seabone's earring!

im with darth chewee on this one.i looked here for help on were to find the ering(or e-arr-ing as ive heard people say) and found nobody could find it. so then i dropped the quiz. then my mac glitched or somthing and there were no buildings, just people. so i could se all the landscape, it was pretty cool. but anyways i saw this spot were i could dig so i went back got the quest dug and it was there. then u gotta get the skeleton like was stated before.:12_1_138:

I don't know if it counts for this quest but as I have been progressing through the game I have noticed that these 'dig' missions are not 'static drop' which means you can find one spot. Dig, wait 2minutes? (how ever long the spot's respawn is set for) then dig again. This tactic does work and I have completed the
"Buried Portraits" mission using only one dig sight for each island
