if you are a kid, should you show respect in-game?

Everyone should show respect to everybody. Period.

Like it or not, respect should be given...but more importantly, earned...

not to sound rude and all but why in the world would you have to ask this question? of course you should show respect! Being a kid doesn't mean showing respect isn't allowed. I'm sorry, but this is probably one of the the most obvious questions i've ever seen.

Respect is a funny thing.

Yes, if your a kid in game, you should show respect to everybody. But adults also need to do the same, mind you. In fact, I would expect those of an older age to be more learned on the subject, and thusly, more fluently give respect.

If somebody respects me, I respect them. If somebody doesn't respect me, that's too bad for them. I refuse to give people who don't respect me a second glance.

My two cents... Because we are not wearing Adult tags or Kid tags in game, there really is no way to tell one from the other so the point is a bit moot.

On the other hand, everyone who posted before me is right. Respect is not an option, it is a way of life. We shouldn't decide who we act respectfully to and who we don't.

Respect is a two-way street. Age is irrelevant.

Respect, all ages have it.

To me, it doesn't matter what your age is, what gender you are, your race, how your face looks, or if you smell funny, ya gotta show respect.

Right on Wolfie! Respect is irrelevant of age. I do my best to treat all players the same, regardless of age. All players should be respectful. But like Wolfie said, all players should also be earning respect.

um i think you took my question the wrong way. i know you should show respect to adults in real life, but i wanted to know what other people say about in game.

Well, respect is highly lacking in POTCO IMHO. Either in-game, or in RL, show respect whether you like it or not. It is a way of life... :pirate2wn0:

Igor say Aye Igor smells funny and still gives respect and tries to teach others to respect one another. Igor say and for a third person speaking smelly pirate, Igor has to earn Igor's respect as many do not believe in a Savvy little pirate !!!

You should show respect in RL and in game... just like pie said, and I was agreeing with pie. I was talking about respect in game....

I help everyone weither they are in my guild or not and no matter who they are and if they thank me that show repect for me and if i need help i expect the same and says thanks to show them repect to that is kindnes and that true repect.

Respect is earned and many have earned mine. Regardless of age.

Do moderators watch the language being used on the game? A guy used several bad cuss words at me yesterday. I just shut the game off I got so mad. Guess it's to late to report it. Some people don't need to be on the game.

Yes, they do. Last year they added a system that would give you an automatic warning, and then a second warning, and then a 24 hour band if you cussed. Players get around this by using substitute words or separating. Unfortunately, Disney moderators do not catch this often, unless it's used in an obvious way.

And why is respect lacking these days? Because we've been told that we are nothing more than accidents or animals. It's hard to see why we should show respect to accidents. If you have a pre-ordained moral code however, that includes respect for all human life, it's part of life.

Update: I have Made a Pirate Who name might be Shamus O'Malley Or Buccaneer, either way, i made a guild & hopefully the name R E S P E C T will be granted
