Kracken Music Found In Audio Phase Files?

3 Attachment(s)
Hi,
I finally got some of the phase files to open, so I went digging throught the audio in hopes of finding some cool music I like from the game, well not so much BUT I did find something interesting...
Music that has the title Kracken in it.
When I played them, they sounded like the kracken.
P.S. If you this discovery has already been mad, I'm sorry.

Wow, the last one sounds... deep :jackhat:

Nice. That last one is really cool. Love the music. And those growls are pretty cool too.

the last one is from the 2nd movie, when the pearl was sunk

Hmm I wonder if it will be released next year.

Hate to burst your bubble but those files, along with the kraken texture maps have been in there ever since the quest was shelved way back in 2009.

Figured that, lol.
Anyway, at least they're on the forums now.

When I got the phase files I found those as well. I love the music when apparently the Kraken sinks your ship!
Thanks for posting, mate.

aye... if i heard that while fishing i would be like OH EM GEE O_O

Jamesvsthekraken 11-04-2010 05:54 PM

They should have a fish drag you underwater if you loose the line to either a legendary fish or a regular fish, and have a funny animation with that music playing as you see the shadow of The Kraken in the distance lol. :)

I'll be the first to say that the last one sounds BLOODY EPIC. I'll also say that, the Kraken is probably not coming in the near future, if ever. While I would love to have an epic battle with the Kraken, I just can't see it happening. Sorry if I burst your bubble.

wasnt it sunk in the 3rd movie?

WitchdoctorDan 11-06-2010 09:43 PM

No, the end of the second movie. Maybe the developers put it in the third game to make the plot better.

Wow... you guys don't seem to be knowing that the last song was ripped off from the original score of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest. The song is called "The Kraken" from PotC 2. It's 8 minutes long mixing orchestra with something that sounds like Rock. Credit goes to the music maestro Hans Zimmer, who made all the awesome music for PotC. Link here:

I thought we were playing an online game based on the movies.

Oh I see. No I'm not scrutinizing them for doing that. I just wanted to bring this to all of yer notice(s?). I'm in-fact glad they're putting it in the game, and it's something I've wanted for so long.

WitchdoctorDan 11-12-2010 12:24 AM

Yeah, I don't believe they ripped it off. Remember, this game is made by the same company who employed Mr. Zimmer, and licensed his music. Therefore, it would be exceedingly easy to license the music for POTCO.

Yes, but it was placed in the phase files. I did not add that myself, it was found in the phases. Besides, disney owns the game and the movies, so I'd figure they'd have the right to use it in the game :P

Captain Sharktooth 01-20-2011 01:53 AM

Wow those are EPIC. The first one is so cool! I like the music on th third one. This just got me excited that the Kraken might still be added soon.
