Skeleton Sea Offense?
 

Today when I was on POTCO. I got a message saying:

Skeleton Sea Offense
Jolly Roger Has Launched A Sea Offense! Many Skeleton SHips Now Roam The High Seas, So Get Ready To Face Them When You Set Sail!

Anybody else get this? What does it mean? I never got to see the sea offense because I had no ship and there were no public ships. If you were there could you post pics. I saw one pic in the wiki but it only showed the message.

They did this with EITC ships right before the islands were redesigned. This was not done on test that I'm aware of.... I wonder what jolly is up to? Also if I recall guildies were having problems finding navy ships for quests during this time - hopefully they only added and did not subtract. Gonna be crowded on the seas lol

ya I've noticed it too and boy there was a lot of Death Omens, it was the best time to level up Cannon :piratewheelgo2:

Is this on test server, or on the regular servers? if its on the regular servers, it must mean undead treasure fleets, or lots of cannon rep. :D anyways, we have no idea where this is headed. Sounds like a fun time tough, wonder when it will be on the news.

Maybe it's to make up for the story for the "rum blockade" in the Raven's Cove Story Quest? Highly unlikely though, as this quest seems like it will never go off, and they can't have an offensive forever can they? There's some story to this, but we'll have to wait and see.

So many of them look like they went a little over board.

If Jolly Roger really wanted to destroy us, wouldn't there be more Storm Reapers, Black Harbingers and Death Omen everywhere, not just around Padres? At least Beckett did a better job invading Padres with the EITC Barracuda - EITC Juggernauts all around Padres...

Not only is he losing his army, or whatever, he's apparently losing money to afford more than a ton of Phantoms in low-level areas...
...He doesn't want to really destroy us...

And now, the Dark Cobra takes on 14 Undead Ships, 6 of which remain off-screen in this screenshot...

This could be a sign of an undead treasure fleet. Disney said the idea made sense when I asked them. However, this could also be the beginning of an interesting story development.

Yeah, with Navy, EITC, and maybe Undead Treasure fleets, or whatever, we pirates need bigger and more powerful ships!

Hmmm... I'm not too sure about that... But a final battle against the Undead army&armada seems possible with the current story advancement (Cursed Blades to end JR, etc.).

I haven't logged on... it's only around Padres? :/ . And ot just Juggernauts, even Corsairs and Behemoths were in amazing numbers around Padres

Undead treasure fleet eh? From what what's been happening, it looks like Invasions are intended for JR only, and the same applying for Treasure Fleets with the Navy/EITC. It sounds interesting but I don't think it will come, for a while at least. And I think D already stated that the Skeleton Sea Offensive was part of JR's Halloween surprise for this year, so this MIGHT not be something new

This offensive is keeping my back-up pirate from getting grenades. I can't find one EITC ironwall. Looks like I'm going to have to wait until after Halloween.

Jolly Roger Increases Sea PatrolOctober 22, 2010

All Hallows' Eve is approaching and its powerful magic is spreading throughout the Caribbean. Jolly Roger has been using the magic of All Hallow's Eve month to his advantage. First, he made land unsafe for Pirates by unleashing the Curse of the Muertos Moon. Now we hear he's going to create havoc at sea for Pirates too!

From October 22 - October 31, Pirates will see an increase in Skeleton ships at sea. Gather your crew and get out to sea! Don't let Jolly Roger get the best of us, Pirates. Attack and sink any Skeleton ship wherever you find it!

Absolutely zero Marauders at sea now. The tracker won't track because there aren't any!

there will be some on some servers just keep looking till u find the right server that has them

I am trying to finish a quest, but no matter which server I went on I still did not fiind any Man-O-War ships. I think this sea patrol is a little out of hand especially when u can't find the ships u need to finish a quest. I wrote Disney about this problem and we will see if they fix it. Anyone else having trouble findiing ships for quest?

No offense mate but ye are not looking hard enough. I have been assisting guild-members, and friends find the very ship ye speak of. In the past two days I have been party to the sinking of 20 Man-o-Wars.

All I did to find them was start at the bottom of the server list and visited every one till the ship in question was found. Tedious yes, but do able. I found it to be fun trying to avoid the skeleton fleet while hunting other ships.

There out there ye just got to earn them! Good luck!

I have several pics of this. Pretty soon I will be the SKELETON SHIP PIC MASTER OF THE CARIBBEAN!!! :laugh: But seriously, I posted some pics in the news topic. It does get creepy being surrounded by skeleton ships while cower... I mean, waiting out the Muertos Moon.

You can probably still access the Man-O-War flagship that sails from Kingshead and by Avaricia. I don't think they got rid of Flagships did they?
