Lots of people have their own favorite bands and songs, and this definitely won't fit anywhere else. If anyone wants to share them here, then that'd be great!

I enjoy jouneying in to the better parts of the soul when I listen to music - "Heal the World," "Man in the Mirror," "Stranger in Moscow," and "Cry," all by MJ, are definately some of my favorites :)

Of course, I always like getting pumped up, like right before a big run or something like that. Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, Te Beatles... maybe even a little Lady Gaga... I have a very wide range of tastes :D

I'll just list a few of my favorites from each genre, my classification may be a little off but eh.

Indie/alternative: The Early November (and other Ace Enders), The Starting Line (and other Kenny Vasoli), Circa Survive (and other Anthony Green)
Hip hop: Kid Cudi, Eminem, Sam Adams, Drake
Punk/pop punk: Relient K, The Wedding, Sum 41, All Time Low
Metal: Between the Buried and Me, Born of Osiris, The Acacia Strain
Almost metal but not quite: Our Last Night, Underoath
Instrumental: Andy Mckee, God is an Astronaut, POTC soundtracks
Music I only know because my parents raised me right: Jimmy Buffett, Stevie Wonder

My tastes are too diverse to really narrow it down... I suppose if I *had* to narrow it down I would say... Rise Against, POTCO soundtracks (particularly the songs "up is down" and "Drink up me hearties Yoho" - Worlds End), Johnny Cash, Theory of a Deadman, Gaga, Journey, ok now Im just rambling LOL You get the idea :smiley-rpg028:

Tool and Dream Theater all the way. I like to listlen to Progressive Metal alot. I do listlen to other bands, such as System of a Down, Smashing Pumpkins, Rush, Metallica. But Progressive Metal is definately my favorite. And my favorite song is Schism by Tool.

I am a 90's guys all the way! From Pearl Jam, Tool, RATM, RHCP, NIN, White/Rob Zombie, The Vandals, The Aquabats, a whole bunch of Latin American bands, The Toasters, Ruder Than You, Garbage, Godsmack, Korn, Sublime, Rancind, Reel Big Fish, Fiona Apple, just to name a few. The newest band, as far as time it was created is Flight of The Conchords.

I guess it all comes down to what I am feeling at a certain moment. I really can't say that I have a favorite.

Anyone get The Beginning? Its the Black Eyed Peas newest album that came out on November 30th. Its really cool and funkayy. I'm really enjoying Do It Like This. Its just so funny to listen to cuz it sounds really insane.

Hehe, I like Linkin park (^duh) :P, Greenday, 3 Doors Down, Three Days Grace, and maybe every once and a while some Queen. You know like Bohemian Rhapsody, stuff like that, catch my drift? :P

Personally, I like many different genres of music. But I cant stand the Black eyed peas they are pretty annoying in my opinion. But who cares that's just an opinion. As long as an artist makes the music not just to get them famous, or to be rich, then they're ok in my book.
(Btw most good music ended in the 90's)

lol im probably gonna be the only person with this answer. But my favorite band by far is guns n roses. Not the new "guns n roses" today, im talking about the band from the 80's and 90's

The music that I listen to most tends to fall into the rock/metal category:
- Three Days Grace, Disturbed, Breaking Benjamin, Rammstein, Evanescense, In Flames, Linkin Park, and Skillet.
I also have a soft spot in my heart for Lady Gaga and Eminem. I'm not a fan of most of the mainstream, "school dance" music today, but a small, small percentage is okay. =)

Basically, I'll listen to anything that has a good rhythm, lyrics that have meaning, and coherent singing.

I like Coldplay sorta.

I think their best song is either Yellow or Clocks.

I don't really care for the deep voices of male singers., especially when used in rock and roll.

I like classical music :). My favorite composer is Saint Saens and my favorite piece of his is Danse Macabre.

Rock & blues for me, although my likes span many jaundra's of music. Probably my favorite band atm is Sixx am who has just released "Lies of the Beautiful People" for their new album. Papa Roach, Aerosmith to name a couple others. Also a huge fan of Janis Joplin-the woman sang from her heart & soul....

Not sure if i have enough room to name all my favorites. LOL I like a lot of random genres.

New Lupe Fiasco is pretty good if you can ignore the annoying (and ill-informed IMO) political commentary. New Wiz Khalifa is pretty dang good too.

I have found the perfect POTCO Soundtrack for me. I played Flogging Molly Live at The Greek Theater. It's piratey and it lasts a bit more than an hour.

If any of you keep up with Drake's blog, you'll know he released 3 new songs for download on Saturday night. Free Spirit is blowing up on social sites but my personal favorite is Club Paradise, which is probably the best song Drake has ever put out IMO. Love itttt. Oh btw, Universal took down the download links as per usual but you should be able to find the songs on YouTube :)

I've just found myself to be one who can grow attached to a lot of her songs over time, though if I had to choose a few favorites, they'd be "So Happy I Could Die," "The Edge of Glory," "Marry the Night,"..... and a certain song I can't exactly name on here, in the instance somebody here speaks German.

Personally, I love rock. I kinda have been brought up with it. So, yeah. Rock is my thing. I think personally I like Sum41, KISS, Green Day, Linkin Park, AC/DC, Slipknot. Of course, those are quite a mix, but you know what I mean.

J. Cole's album Cole Word: The Sideline Story is really really good. Big Drake fan but Nicki Minaj kinda ruins his song Make Me Proud. Another Drake song The Real Her leaked last week and it's good but again, the Wayne feature kinda ruins it for me. Also been listening to The Weeknd a lot, it's weird but I'd recommend the song The Birds Part 1 and if you like that, you can download his two mixtapes for free on his website. Other than that... just waiting for Take Care to come out Nov 15.

Take Care leaked last night but it's missing the last track and the two bonus tracks. Really really good. Definitely gonna buy it when it actually comes out.

I like various artists from a variety of genres but i'm mostly into progressive metal.

It's always been hard for me to pick a favorite band until i discovered Opeth about 10 years ago.

Y'all heard that song Letter To My Son by Don Trip and Cee Lo? Purty good.

I love Flogging Molly and Drop Kick Murphy - Shipping up to Boston always makes me want to fight some navy chaps, love Rock a billy ...Social D and the Misfits (with Danzig) always gonna be my favorite. I like Volbet currently - Sad Mans Tongue, warriors call, lol tried to insert Youtube vid but ain't working for me, anyways check them out.

My favourite band of all time is Within Temptation (one of their albums is my guild name - though we're not a WT fan club). My favourite song of theirs, currently, is Restless, on their first album. Brilliant!

I also like Nightwish, Michael Jackson, Kate Bush, Midnattsol, Queen (oh I do love Queen), and all the POTCO music! I'm mostly into symphonic metal, hard rock and music like that.

And if you haven't already heard of them, check Alestorm out. Scottish band who love what we love... pirates! You Are A Pirate is the best song of theirs - check it out! And if you can find the At World's End music video for it, even better!

One of my favorite artist is this guy who goes by the name Waterflame. He does some super awesome stuff, but sadly he isn't very well known. His best song is called Glorious Morning, you can see it on YouTube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7T_YtklLyyo If you guys know he game Age Of War, this is the theme music. Really cool song.
