Which New Ship Will YOU Choose?

(Now, before someone posts about it, I know they may not come out for a while - not a problem to post a poll about them, though, is it?)

Well, as some/most/all of you know, there were 6 new ships accidentally put up for purchase at Shipwrights for about two days on Test back when Fishing came around on it (ships are listed in the poll). Only the Ship Of The Line and Kingfisher has been noted to have been purchased. None of them had a level requirement (they most likely will when officially released), but they were all expensive - prices ranging from 120,000 Gold to 200,000.
The Enemy Ships you could buy had amazingly low health. It's been noted that the 5 enemy ships could ALSO fire a broadside of the ammo of their corresponding NPC version - I.E. Phantom = Thunderbolt Broadsides. Facts to prove this are:
1: Each of the ships, naturally, have a different type of Broadside.
2: Two Undead War Frigates - if they didn't have their ammo, why two of the same ship design?

Details of the ships just for reference:

~Ship Of The Line~
Seemed to have faster reloading Broadsides.
Price: 200,000 Gold
Hull: 20,000
Sails: 1,500
Speed: 8 Knots
Cannons: 7/7
Broadsides: 12/12
Cargo: 24
Shipmates: 12
Also has very good hull panels.

~Kingfisher - War Sloop~
Has Chain Shot Broadsides - whether they are stong, being fired at Hull and all, and being weak to Hull, is a mystery to me...
Price: 120,000 Gold
Hull:1,200
Sails: 400
Speed: 10 Knots
Cannons: 9
Broadsides: 7/7
Cargo: 14
Shipmates: I do not remember.

~Warlord - Small War Frigate~
Has Firebrand Broadsides
Price: 180,000 Gold
Hull: 2,100?
Sails: 600
Speed: 9
Cannons: 14
Broadsides: 10/10
Cargo: 16
Shipmates: 12

~Phantom - War Frigate~
Has Thunderbolt Broadsides
Price: 170,000 Gold
Hull: 2,500
Sails: 600
Speed: 9
Cannons:8
Broadsides: 7/7
Cargo: 14
Shipmates: 8

~Cerberus - War Sloop~
Has Explosive Broadsides
Price:140,000
Hull: 3,000
Sails: 600
Speed: 10
Cannons: 6
Broadsides: 7/7
Cargo: 12
Shipmates: 8

~Revenant - War Frigate~
Has Fury Broadsides
Price: 190,000
Hull: 2,500
Sails: 600
Speed: 9
Cannons: 8
Broadsides: 7/7
Cargo: 14
Shipmates: 8

Igor

Igor say Igor can not wait for the new ships, however Igor would like to see some new types of ships added to the game. Igor would love to see Junks or Schooners sailing the seas with us. Igor wish upon a star for some more real ship designs!!!!!

Crestshot 10-16-2010 07:51 PM

I still stick by my ranting when this was a really hot topic. I want a Revenant. And, of course, that was before I knew it had fury broadsides. Now I want it even more. Sure, the hull could perhaps use an increase, but I think the fury makes up for that. Lots of people will likely want a SotL as well, but... I don't want to be in that huge hulking thing going around the Caribbean, as powerful as it is. And besides, I'd like to have SOME money left over when I buy a ship. :)

Jamesvsthekraken 10-16-2010 08:01 PM

I agree... :) :D xD

I agree with Crest, I'm going to either get a Phantom or a Revenant. :) :bookishfj7: :piratewheelgo2:

Lady Violet 10-16-2010 08:05 PM

New ships sound awesome but I wish they would add the Kraken somewhere in the sailing for extra excitement. Ive been playing for about 4 months now, and a level 48, have my sailing, canon, sword, gun, and Doll all mastered already, Done about all the tasks I can do in other words I am pretty bored. All I look forward to are the invasions now, to help me max out my notoriety. Then what will I have to look forwards to?

titanic95594 10-16-2010 08:08 PM

For a plunder pirate like me. I see a SOTL wheel in my hands in the future.

Chimera Doll 10-16-2010 08:10 PM

I voted for Ship of the Line because of its advancements and I don't want the other types of broadsides all of the time. It would lower rep.
Only disadvantage is the price but oh well haha.

I hope they make more room for ships now in the inventory, which I wager they are. And the Kraken is coming soon I believe too.

Tiberius Fireskull 10-16-2010 08:45 PM

I want to captain a Ship of the Line, but I would like to add several ships to my fleet. It is really to early for me to tell.

muffin pirate 10-16-2010 11:21 PM

Explosives coming through...;)

Nate Swordwalker 10-17-2010 12:53 AM

I voted SoTL, but I would love to captain a Cerberus someday. Explosives rule!

christopher cannonskull 10-23-2010 06:10 PM

why does the ship of the line only have 12 broadsides when the war frigate has 24 and its alot smaller then ship of the line

James Bladefury 10-23-2010 06:57 PM

Fury!!! I dont want a huge bulky galleon like ship, I want power!!!

WitchdoctorDan 10-23-2010 07:42 PM

Cerberus! My hit and run tactics would be perfected with this. Hi there Mr. Juggernaut! Payback sucks doesn't it! - explosion broadside, Juggernaut sinks - :laughks2:

Roger Sharkshot 10-23-2010 08:06 PM

I cant pick between the skeleton ships yeah the SOTL is big and all but until theres customization i dont care i want either of thew skeleton ships and there cheaper with great boardsides but im still not sure they have boardsides of that type on them hopefully they will raise their hull

Whoops, that was meant to be 12/12. The Ship of the Line has the same amount of broadsides as a War Galleon - the War Frigate has 20 broadsides, 10/10 - 10 being on each side.

Angel Stormfury 10-26-2010 02:32 PM

I voted SoTL and now I wanna change my vote :( i saw fury broadsides for revenant and that sounds way better and 8 knots is way too slow, it'd be cool to drive a SoTL though since its the biggest ship type

SEAKING23 10-26-2010 06:06 PM

roger sword shot level 45 MASTERS IN SWORDS

I want a revant. i could probably take a ship of the line with it bc its more maneuverable:dancetl6::laugh:, plus the flury broadsides could do a lot of dame before they can get a good shot at me :D

SEAKING23 10-26-2010 06:13 PM

roger sword shot level 45 MASTERS IN SWORDS

Wait. some of the ship classes are the same as enemy ship classes. i no i sound like a noob, but doesn't that mean we will sail around looking like EITC, navy, or jolly roger?
P.S could e plz attach some pictures? i will understand if ye don't want to.

Jim seapaine 10-28-2010 01:05 AM

I voted kingsfisher, but if i dont get navy sails i want a ship of the line!... even tho its so big its a easy tartget

Roger Sharkshot 11-27-2010 08:07 AM

plz disney put the ships out there

swordshot 11-27-2010 02:10 PM

Phantom!!!!!!!!

xswx 11-27-2010 04:31 PM

also the easiest target you have a war galleon? you can sink easily

They will. There making progress on them.

Chalupa 11-28-2010 11:55 PM

Cerberus all the way! Explosive broadsides!

Jack Shipsteel 11-29-2010 01:23 AM

Bigger is better.

SotL.

angel 4ever 11-29-2010 01:37 AM

i would like to have a sotl in some ways i have enough gold for it haha but it is the biggest thing out there which means as alot have said the biggest target so like u could be sailing along and ur getting attacked by like 20 ships at one time!! so if they dont at least space some of the enemy ships out so then that ship can at least get around some or its going to be bumping into every ship out there haha

Roger Sharkshot 11-29-2010 02:12 AM

haha yep that is why i will go for one of the skeleton ships

Roger Sharkshot 01-13-2011 02:45 AM

I have enough money for skeletons or SOTL come on disney ships plz.

Isaiah Ropeswine 01-13-2011 03:19 AM

Will new ships come with special broadsides?

SEAKING23 01-13-2011 04:56 AM

Yeah.

The problem with to SOTL is it takes an eternity to turn, plus if you try to get all royals your crew mates might leave. i think the Cerberus could take it down. cant go wrong with explosive broad side.

Roger Sharkshot 01-13-2011 11:25 PM

I am gonna wait and ride on the ships from other ppl before I buy and see which is best. We all know the Cerberus is going to be the king of svs.

Geoffrey Fireskull 01-16-2011 09:14 AM

Does anyone have any idea of when these new ships might be released, and also does that mean we will be able to have more than the current 3 ship maximum?

I don't think anyone knows about either... Except the design team. But they had the ships out on test once, for about a day or so. And some people got it. But knows one knowws when they will come out.

AdmiralSavvy 02-03-2011 09:02 PM

I voted for the Revenant, but the Cerberus is a close second. My only problem with the Cerberus is that we would probably have to be closer than normal to use the explosive broadsides. Being a War Sloop, this would just defeat the purpose. With the Revenant, I doubt distance would be an issue.

Tuefenhandel 02-03-2011 11:05 PM

Being a pirate, I want them all! So, I will start with the SOTL so as to be able to haul the most loot, savy? Then Phantom, and finally Cerberus.

Unless POTCO is kind enough to allow a poor pirate like meself to have a larger fleet!

The Stealthy Pirate 02-04-2011 11:40 PM

eh..... all of 'em??

Yeah, the Cerberus probably will, but there's a chance it won't, too. How else does the EITC Conqueror fire it's Explosive Broadside over a fourth of a mile away? And, defeat the purpose of what?

I think it'd be the Phantom you're thinking of, not the Revenant. Thunderbolt has the longest range.

AdmiralSavvy 02-05-2011 01:14 AM

Heh, it's been a while since I've done some serious sailing; I haven't even done an actual fleet yet, so I suppose my knowledge is a little rusty.
I just think that a War Sloop (IF Explosives require you to be close) would lose its purpose that way considering how they're primarily meant to be evasive (not open targets).

I'm not necessarily looking for the longest range, just a sufficient one.

Oh, well in that case, I think people - myself especially - would be able to managed the required close range firing. In the first place, the War Sloop does kind of have the lowest Broadside Range of the Warships (not that I really pay attention to the broadside ranges). The Cerberus's Explosives will make it invincible to a certain extent, because it'll be able to sink ships fairly quickly before sufficient damage is received.

SEAKING23 02-05-2011 02:03 AM

It all depends on how you use them... i use them for close range.

Davy_Mcwrecker 02-05-2011 04:27 AM

Well..... I would get the Rev. With fury Broads, You can sink easily from a distance. Next the SOTL Bc of it's ull points. ThenI would get the Cerberus for svs pwnage.

swashbuckler1 02-20-2011 04:17 PM

i voted ship of the line its cool with all the damage it can do!!!

blaster54 02-20-2011 05:57 PM

Phantom! I think it would be beast to have that awesome ship!

bartholomew bladeroberts 02-20-2011 06:00 PM

Sotl all the way it may be a big target but it holds good cargo good cannons and it's tough while it lacks speed I'm sure the hull compensates for it

Captain Redhorn 04-07-2011 04:52 PM

I voted SOTL just because it is huge!!! I also want the rest of them though. My top three would be
1. SOTL
2. Revenant
3. Cerebus
I know this wil take a long long long long long long long time though because I would need 530000 gold and I only have 23000. I wasted most of it on the new clothes... I think it would be cool if we could have Eitc Behemoths and Eitc Juggernauts

Davy_Mcwrecker 04-08-2011 02:35 AM

Jolly Roger Harkaway FtW

shaodwfan00 05-24-2011 10:50 PM

DANG IT! I wanna change my answer. XD (I voted for phantom cuz I knew it was an undead ship and had thunderbolt broadsides, but I want ship of the line)

Warlord 07-21-2011 05:10 AM

I would want one SOTL, a Revenant, and a Cerberus for svs!

MacIronhawk 07-21-2011 05:29 AM

I'll replace the War Galleon with the Ship of the Line and if the player version of the Black Pearl is coming(maybe), i'll be replacing my War Frigate with that. Then the War Sloop will be replaced with whatever else there is that's fast.

Davy_Mcwrecker 07-21-2011 05:41 AM

I change my vote from the revenant ~ I pick Cerberus, because of explosive broadsides - one kills one side of the hull when hit in SvS, not to mention the damage each separate one does. It's also a war sloop, so it's hard to hit, and with a full crew of fury spammers, it's unstoppable!!!
>=D

Slasher 07-21-2011 08:01 AM

What really doesn't make sense is why do people want the Navy ships? Not to damper anything, but aren't they the same ships with different flag designs? I mean, besides hull protection, I don't really see a difference. Or are we assuming they would have the broadside ammo they have now, versus normal cannon balls..? If so then never mind xD. Anyways, I would get Ship Of The Line (Obviously:piratewheelgo2:) And maybe the Revenant or Phantom (See, I put Italics around my ship names because its fancy fancy! :piratetongueor4:). Seems like a nice ship and all.. You know, once you get past the rotting and cobwebs, its all good from there!:sailr:

They do have special broadsides. The Kingfisher, for example, has Chainshot broadsides.

I would love to have a Cerberus, though.

akamystic 07-21-2011 01:04 PM

Until we have an official release I don't want to get overly excited. Having said that, I would have to take them all for a spin prior to deciding which is best. I'm sure each ship will have it's pros and cons just like the ones we have now do. One ship better for looting, one better for SVS and one best for maneuverability and speed.

I hope they open our ship inventory to own at least 6 or more. Constant buying and selling of ships would really hurt a Pirates chest....literally and figuratively....lol.

WeirdBeard 07-21-2011 01:51 PM

I voted Revenant a long time ago, but now i want Cuebres (i didn't spell it right)

Mr. Awesome 07-21-2011 04:32 PM

I voted Ship of the Line because I could not decide on which to pick...

I want the Warlord for it's Firebrand Broadsides, Cerberus for it's Explosive Broadsides, Phantom for it's Thunderbolt Braodsides, and the Revenant for it's Fury Broadsides.

Ye can keep the Kingfisher!

leo 07-22-2011 03:58 AM

SOTL is basically the only new ship...kingfisher is a war sloop, phantom is a war frigate,...

I personally would avoid adding SOTL to the game until there is proper use for it meaning there being a good enough challenge for it, difficult opponents, etc.

Kingfisher is a Navy War Sloop with Chainshot broadsides.
Phantom is a Skeleton War Frigate with Thunderbolt broadsides.
Cerberus is an Undead War Sloop with Explosive broadsides.
Warlord is an EITC War Frigate with Firebrand broadsides.
Revenant is an Undead War Frigate with Fury broadsides.

No, they're not new ships overall, but they're new ships that may or may not eventually be available for us pirates to buy. Meaning you'll see pirates sailing Warlords.

And in my opinion, the Fleets are a good enough opponent for the Ship of the Line. Especially when lead by the HMS Invincible, EITC Conqueror or HMS Victory. It can hold back a lot of damage, but at the same time, if you're not too careful, you'll go downhill eventually. And the fact that Bountyhunters come at you in a constant stream makes Bountyhunters another good opponent for the Ship of the Line.

Mr. Awesome 07-22-2011 06:50 AM

I am 98.76% sure, that Bounty Hunters and Navy Warships were added to set up for the ship(s). It would make people want it even more than they did before.

Slasher 07-22-2011 07:44 AM

^^^ Yep... I just would like to have custom ships. It gets a bit tiring looking the exact same as the next guy. I want to look unique. I'm not asking huge, (Although that would be nice :pirate6:) but maybe some different stairs, cannon places or hulls. I'm sure even this would be hard to make, let alone FULL ship customization, so I guess I'll be waiting a bit... Lets hope it comes! :dancetl6: :psmiley35:

Captain C83 07-28-2011 06:41 AM

I totally want a ship of the line! >D But then, we're pirates. Why should we wait until it's for sale? We should board it and steal it! XD
