With All Hallows' Eve approaching, something wicked is coming our way, mates. Jolly Roger is going to revive the Curse of the Muertos Moon. From October 15 to October 31, prepare yerselves for the Curse of the Muertos Moon! The Curse will strike multiple times in one day so beware of the moonlight, mates!

Whenever the moon is full, any Pirate on land who is hit by the moonlight will be cursed. As the full moon approaches, get yourselves indoors, maties! If the moonlight touches you while you're on land, you best be ready to protect yourself. During the Curse of the Muertos Moon, even the best of mates have turned against each other! Don't let yourself become an Undead minion in Jolly Roger's army - fight the Curse of the Muertos Moon!

Strange, they moved everything back 15 minutes. Must have made it easier for them, so instead of fixing the time problems they just move the times to adapt to them.

I was the last skeleton left on some random ideal server, and i swim up to the far side of the becah and attack these two noobs just talking. Suddenly about 3 higher level players came and chase me back to the other beach, but sadly the timer ran out on my swim back. I wish we could use guns on the living during this, cause i probably could have killed them all in won hit :laughks2:

I'm looking for a picture, I found one but don't have room to upload it yet.

I believe they don't want the Moons to intercept the fleets.

FYI, for some reason the moon comes every #:50. Don't ask me why but the /event says -6222 hours or something like that.

So far I have just missed every full moon phase, lol. Hopefully one of these days I'll time it right, although I never seem to fare well in these things. :)

I do not do to well in them either but they are a lot of fun when you are with a bunch of friends.

So last night I was indoors as this began and went outside. And was promptly attacked. I didn't change into the undead form or anything. Did this happen last year? Because I swear I thought if you stayed indoors during the 'transformation' and then went outdoors you couldn't be attacked, and you never changed unless you were outdoors during the beginning of the event.

Regardless, I killed several people and felt accomplished, despite my dislike for this event. =P

u can also turn undead in caves which is weird because thats indoors technically right?

I hate this curse and wish POTCO would deep six it. Hate anything that disrupts questing or plundering. At least with invasions and treasure fleets we can choose to opt out of them. Also burns me up that this curse can still effect us when we are in places like Tormenta and the Ravens Cove mine. Pretty much ruins the treasure hunting or leveling for the duration of the curse. GET A CLUE DISNEY and GET RID OF THE CURSE!

It only happens for a half a month mate, besides, they are probably doing this for their 3rd anniversary event and probably a test update along with it.

Well, I just got my first complaint ever about the Muertos Moon curse.

I was in El Patron's Mine looting the Traitor Ghosts on Navermo server and some level 48 guy comes from behind me and kills me. At this time I was talking to a friend and about to attack the next ghost, me being basic as well. I don't even remember having a weapon out at the time.

While I'm on, even with Muertos Moon, i've been looting at Tormenta and the Mine, think it's kinda funny for me being undead killing the enemies from Tormenta.

More than two days a year is TOO MUCH! Wouldn't mind it if they would restrict it to one island at a time such as invasions and keep it out of the caverns. Its also coming too frequently A group of us went sailing during one of them and seems like less than half an hour after our porting they hit us with another one. Just a bloody nuisance that interupts regular game play. Also dislike the opportunity it give to the PVP glitchers.
