Bad Luck with weapons
 

With the addition of 30 new cursed blades and 5 new Legendary Blades you would think it would be a little easier to get cool and good weapons. For some reason I have awful luck, I have gotten 3 Famed Items (one a cannon ram with chain shot) including the one we get from completing the Raven's Cove story quest. I also have never gotten a new cursed blade. And, the best weapon i have got since these additions have came out is the Orangutan Cutlass. So guys is it just me or do you guys also have bad luck?

The drops were bad right after Ravens Cove came out but they seem to be getting better(for me at least). I have gotten 3 new cursed blades and a famed in the last couple of days and I was in the mines at the 4 ghosts for all of them.

Spineskull blade (rare cursed)
Deepwater blade (rare cursed0
Broadsword of the inquisition (famed)
Barnacle Breaker blade (rare cursed)

i also seem to have bad luck although i have gotten 2 cursed blades (rare)

169 skulls since completing the quest, 0 Famed/Legendary Cursed Blades.

I keep looking for more of the cursed blades, including the ones I didn't get from chest. I only got Deepwater Blade from Cursed Caverns' Thrall Hall. I might want to tell Disney to make it easier to find the blades.

I was looking for a Cursed weapon in the Mines yesterday... got a Bejeweled Broad <_>

The update turned lucky to me.. had 3 famed weapons including the cursed one you got during the Quest, and found 2 good weapons, a rare cursed blade and a Famed Broadsword, in the same day!

Same here. All i have is the 2 free weapons. Bitter end and cursed seafang.

I haven't found a legendary weapon yet, but all the people telling me they have one won't take it out to prove it, so I'm assuming they're just attention hungry kids.

I've only found Treachery's End, after about 8 hours of fighting, and 200+ skull chests. I also found the Cutlass of the Inquisition, which is pretty nice.
EDIT: Another 2 hours and I actually found the Dagger of the Golden idol. It's not bad for 10 hours, but I wish the people that actually worked for these weapons got them, and not the people that say, "Yeah, I was fighting for twenty minutes and found it. I'd rather have _______ weapon, though."

Only Cursed Blade i've found in a loot drop is Sword of Decay, rare, got a second of them today, first was yesterday. Looking on potco ***** Sword of Decay has the lowest attack of the cutlass style cursed blades. But I did find a Scoundrel's Pistol and Orangutan Cutlass and few other things I didn't keep.

I think they monkeyed around with the drop settings again, drops have been horrible and even the fishing is lousy. I was doing Ravens Cove quest tonight with my other 50 and after catching the 12 tuna I tried for the legendary fish. I'd never had much trouble with catching legendary fish once I learned the technique for landing them without losing them. Tonight after trying for them and even moving the boat to several different locations I didn't have even a single legendary fish show up. So gave up on the bonus fish and turned the quest list in.

Edward Edgemenace PM'd me regarding the lost servers during the Raven's Cove update, and he believes they may have taken away servers to reduce the amount of famed and legendary weapon finds. While I don't see the correlation between the two, I think it's quite clear something has changed.

I've heard many friends say they've been lucky to find one famed weapon a day. I've managed to find two in one day, but that's only after about 8-10 hours of play.

Of course I know people who are even luckier than before, but my luck went from 20 famed weapons from darkhart in 20 hours(over the course of a month or two) to two famed weapons in 10 hours. That's a big difference for me, but oh well.

I've had no luck whatsoever. I have the Seafang and Bitter End. And I spent 10+ hours today going after both Remington and Neben.

Disney definitely screwed around with something, that's for sure. I've never gotten a Loot Skull Chest from Raven's Cove. Any Loot Skull Chests I've gotten from Tormenta definitely didn't have a Rare weapon, either...

I've gotten around 10 skulls since the update, and that's a good 10 hours of playtime.

There's your problem. Cursed blades are ONLY from raven's cove and isla tormenta.

I was playing with my friend and she got 3 famed in 2 hours that night... Myabe you guys spent all your luck already?

I can be counted into the bad luck club... seems all I ever get is more shot for me weapons :(

I got 2 famed weapons since the update came, not including bitter end. That's nearly double all I've ever gotten from loot drops that I got in just too days. I also just started going to tormenta and Raven'sCove mines for loot. You may wanna try it.

yeah really! i dont get many famed weapons, id just like ONE more Famed weapon! lol

In my whole pirating life 'ive only gotten 4 famed not inclding bitter end and they are two sword not even decent attacks and bushmasters pistol one barrel and a lucky charm treasure sense boost +2 wish that would help with loot drops

The irony is sometimes you work for hours on end only to come up empty handed, and other times it happens on a whim. I understand the 'bad luck' syndrome. However, in my own limited experience (Level 46, 10 famed weapons, 1 Legendary Lost Sword of El Patron), I have found the best 'luck' by changing bosses and even servers if after 15 minutes I'm not seeing any skull chests.

I noticed that the variety seems to bear fruit and when I find a boss that drops skull chests within short durations (Dark Hart seems to do this the most often for me), I will stick around for longer than 15 minutes. That was the strategy that got me the Lost Sword and several other famed weapons.

I wish I could say this was a fool proof method, but alas, I am a fool and if ye find me online, ye will have all the proof ye need mate.

I'm looking for famed weapons. Cursed blades do not account for all of them (I'm not even sure if they make up more than half). And yesterday I spent 7 hours going after ghosts and Jones' crew. Still nothing.

those are the only places ive gone to. I once got four loot chests at one point and the best i got was 4 voodoo hunter sabres/broadswords

Tormenta all day and found nothing.

Igor says Igor just dislike that skull loot chests give junk!!!! Igor think if it is a skull chest it should have some thing good in. Igor doesn't even get excited when Igor see a skull, Igor think what junk this time. Igor got 2 cursed blades out of regular chests but nothing from the Skull chests. ):

I have found two cursed blades so far. I have five famed altogether. Still, the loot is flowing like... No not water, like frozen dirt.

Nothing good from skull chest so far just chests.
