Mark bladeflint 09-30-2010 04:50 PM

Oooo, I'm surprised it came out this early! Whats going on with Disney?!?

Chimera Doll 09-30-2010 04:53 PM

I'm surprised too!
And I'm not sure but they are working on it, on the website this is posted at the top:

Avast! Pirates of the Caribbean Online will remain open while we perform maintenance tonight. You may experience interruptions in gameplay during this time. Thank you for your patience!

Miss Graywolf 09-30-2010 04:58 PM

well to me all of this has to wait until I get all of my Weapons Back ! hope that they made a good choice by bringing the update early !!

Chimera Doll 09-30-2010 05:00 PM

Aye, all we have to do is wait it out. I'm sure it will be fixed soon, for they have been really good with updates and fixes as of late.

Jolly Roger 09-30-2010 05:18 PM

Wow........wow...........wow.That was only 2 or 3 weeks. It took like 4 weeks for potions to come out. Great job Disney!

The Skirata Clan 09-30-2010 05:29 PM

A question to the testers:

Was this Tested thoroughly?

Now a question to all Live players:

Did they tested enough?

Solaris 09-30-2010 05:37 PM

They might aswell just close down the game for maintenance. I have no weapons or clothes. My ships and totems are gone so all you can do is walk around the island you are on and do nothing...

Chimera Doll 09-30-2010 05:39 PM

To answer your questions TSC: No and no! They released it way too early.
Solaris: I agree and have thought that. They should just shut it down for now.

Speedway Master 09-30-2010 05:48 PM

At least I'm still wearing my now-somewhat-non-existent clothing.

I really hope they fix this soon. In the meantime, you can update your gold count for the session by completing a game of Ship Repair.

Captain Sureshot 09-30-2010 05:54 PM

Wow, that was quick - guess the dev team is nearly finished with rewriting almost the entire game and now can more focus on developing new content.

Many pirates have had luck with logging in multiple times, until the items appear. Things should be ok later today.

lol I was trying to do that on Ravens after I teleported to a friend as I had no other option and I kept getting one hit KO'd by the ghosts lol (was that on test-I didn't see it there but wasn't able to get on much)

I will wait till it gets fixed to log back in

Even with your weapons and stuff back, you'll still get 1HKOed by them.

Captain Sureshot 09-30-2010 07:12 PM

I was on and item-less then got the boot. When I logged back on everything was restored PLUS the ship I bought and item I looted were in inventory, too. So no worries.

Tested thoroughly? I would like to say yes but the real answer is "probably not". Some bugs still might be triggered by those weird series of events that can only happen with tons of players all swarming in on one place. Something bad is bound to happen but it will get fixed.

Now...as a live player also. It was tested as much as it could be. The rest will require a larger number of players...

That being said? Many will jump all over this and be finished before bedtime tonight. It is short, fun and just different enough to give us a glimpse of the future of POTCO. And it is good. Very, very good I think...

:th_smellie_pirate:

Final Note:
You cannot kill the red ghosts. Period. That 's the challenge. Have fun.

angel 4ever 09-30-2010 07:27 PM

well sounds like they fixed some probs with ur captain sureshot but does anyone else got there stuff back yet??

Solaris 09-30-2010 07:28 PM

I Just logged back on and I have everything back

Chimera Doll 09-30-2010 07:30 PM

What happened is I first signed in and everything was normal. Then I signed in for a second time and everything is gone.
I did potions and got my skill back as well as my gold but so far that's it
.

angel 4ever 09-30-2010 07:30 PM

VERY good questions. I was under the impression that as late as Monday it was monsterously buggy.

Ok now I'm just furious. They removed almost or OVER half the servers, and EVERY singly server I played on is gone!!!!

Roger Sharkshot 09-30-2010 09:24 PM

Speedway Master 09-30-2010 09:31 PM

You might as well be asking the meaning of life!:laughks2:

Mason 09-30-2010 10:22 PM

Well, the servers are back. And to compare this to the previous update, fishing took 5 weeks. This took literally 2 weeks.

Dog Firestack 09-30-2010 10:44 PM

I think they got more devs working.

Me too....

Captain Del 09-30-2010 10:58 PM

Two words.

FLIPPIN' SWEET!

Now, aside from the general excitement of every release, NO, this was not on Test as long as it should have. I know that the bugs may be brief and only affecting a few, but they're bugs.

NO There was a lot of bugs still there but they didn't listen to the testers.....

Solaris 09-30-2010 11:26 PM

http://www.piratesonlineforums.com/g...0_17-38-46.jpg

This happened to me on test. IDK what I did to fix it, but it resolved.

Olgarlenn - you must go and buy the clothes. The pants are on Padres. That is all I will tell ye.

Robin Yerloot 10-01-2010 12:49 AM

OMG! This early?! On to my hunt for Cursed Blades!

Tiberius Fireskull 10-01-2010 12:58 AM

Woah, Im really shocked that this came out so early.... however, it seems like these bugs came with releasing it onto live, so therefore could not be tested. Either way, they should shut down the game for some maintenance. Wait, so are the servers back... or are they gone? DONT TELL ME MOSONA IS GONE!

Nate Swordwalker 10-01-2010 01:17 AM

They are back. Mosona is still here. No worries. Now I know where to find you... Muahaha!

Even my profile card had me in my boxers though I was fully clothed, lol - seems to be fixed now though (thank goodness)

I think so - perhaps it was the volume of folks logging in that created new issues.
Just a guess.
