Raven's Cove Story Quest
Unlocks automatically in your Quest Journal at Notoriety Level 30. Go to Captain Jack Sparrow on Tortuga for instructions. This new Story Quest is for
Unlimited Access Members only.
Test the Quest from start to finish. The spirits trapped in Raven's Cove will be much obliged if you help them!

New Dialog System for New Quests
Interact with characters however you like using the new dialog choices.
Try as many variations as possible!

Several New Quest Types (including Disguise Quests and Minigame Quests)

New Reward System
While allowing to finish the Quest normally, the New Reward System also offers a "Bonus Reward" for Pirates who decide to go the extra mile for a better reward.

New Enemy Types (Ghosts and Firebats!)
30 New Cursed Blade loot drops, including 5 new Legendary Cursed Blades (can only be found after completing Raven's Cove Story Quest)
Improved Quest Interface

This dude is BAD. He ko a level 50 right in front of me. We were dropping like flies.

When I saw
I knew that it's gonna take a while since these kind of quests take more than a day and I doubt that they're gonna take one tester's opinion after he finishes the quest so right now we have to count on Testers to finish the quest fast and find all the bugs and glitches that needs to be fixed :bookishfj7:
and I'm not sure but I think that most of the testers are under level 30 (correct me if I'm wrong) so it's gonna take some time

I re-installed the game, and it still crashes on me every time something is written to my journal. Anyone else have this problem?

I crash everytime I speak to crazy ned now...

They'll take like 5 weeks to fix these glitches.... does anyone have a test account they aren't using?

I don't know, but you have to be level 30, and it says story quest.

Curse by Jolly? the rage ghosts seem stronger then Jolly... 18k damage? POTCO... think you overdid the "wow" part a little... but at least a new challange.. thralls are getting very easy.
so If we dont complete the quest, we cant eceive any cursed weapons from this island? seeing like their pushing their luck with basics turning unlimited here... since you cant even collect the weapons with basic..

Well, with the new island, comes MANY crash bugs. Whenever you accept a quest, you crash. Whenever you repair your ship and click the exit button, you crash. And many others. I'm gonna give up trying to play until these are fixed :P

I'm just going to applaud Disney for releasing the quest as a level unlock, and not giving it to you right after you complete the Black Pearl quest, because for me, it would have taken about two weeks to finish the BP quest.

I just hope with the release of Ravens Cove, this will get the ball rolling for other quests, boss battles, etc...

EDIT: Here's a huge bug, the sound is horribly muted at sea. And almost everywhere else...

I say Kudos Disney for putting the level on it. Kinda wish it was 40 but okay. (Hey, 10 you get dagger, 20 nades, 30 staff, so why not 40 a new place to explore?) Anxiously waiting what's to come here, but test it well guys, I may be waiting, but I'd rather wait a full month an have fixed bugs!!

The problems with the crashes are all through the game now.... not just Ravens Cove.

Ok so is the island open now or what? I cant get on the island nor can I find Jack Sparrow, im confused!

I will have a 100% walkthroug of the ravens cove island on youtube in about 2 hours

Right now it is only on the Test Server. If you have a test you can play, but if you are on open ye can't. Hope this helps.

the way to avoid getting banned for a link is to post it in the creative coffers section and it may take longer than i thought might have to wait till tomorrow so i can bike 40 blocks to do the walkthrough of the island

It's finally here! For the first time in forever, something actually worthwhile has been added. I can't imagine myself killing those ghosts, but I'd love to explore! Can you imagine a ghost boss? That would be devastating!



Think of it this way: the 'Invasion Jolly Roger' was built to be a balance; he had to be very strong, and also able to survive. What's the health on these things?

Me thinks its gonna take 3- 7 weeks to get it on live.. Aww well, MUST LVL UP!!

I'm saying words I can't say here on POF or in game due to the excitement I'm feeling with this coming out on Test!!!

I just wish they would have also added new enemy ships...

Found another bug sometimes the new old port royal music switches back to the the other music for some akward reason.

It's possible that they're fixing the issues with the ships they released before, and because people still own them, they can notice the changes.

No it's not, its a short quest... you could finish it in less than a day.

Omg... I really cant wait for this quest to come live... although there are gonna be tons of bugs... :'(

You have to help the five ghosts, and you can continue up the elevator and continue the quest, and then you have to do stuff for Bellrog to fight Patron.

HOw far can basics go?

I'm hoping they can't do it at all, considering I pay for the game, and this quest shouldn't be allowed for people at such a higher level.

Can basics even go to level 30?

Basics can, if they got that far when they were unlimited. I don't think they can even take the quest though.

Thank you Sven, that brings me relief because someone told me in game that it is. Since it says: Story Quest: Raven's Cove. :)

It's a story quest, but according to them, it can't be the second major story quest. They said it would be based around the Kraken, so unless there were changes, it's not.

Disguise quests!? I wonder what those are like.

I believe this can be qualified as a major update, though that might be understatement.

Maybe they meant it only under that one quest? :/ For Disguise quests etc?

This is a really loose theory, but I think this might be a hint that any new island we see will have a story quest for them.

And there are so many new questing elements with this update, so it's quiet possible that the Raven's Cove quest is just them testing out some new features, so that for another major quest, they don't screw things up too bad.

EDIT: Don't type /crazy, or you will crash. I wanted to try the crazy emote like Crazy Ned, but I crashed twice.

Im gonna guess that this update will take 2-4 weeks... if POTCO works REALLY hard, then maybe they can get it out in 2 weeks, but its unlikely.

Im shocked they took the old music back! I guess with people getting angry they decided just to take it back. If they took back the old sailing music then I would be even more happy.

No, but if you pay first then get basic, you keep you level and everythng you already have, just cant use them.

Probably halloween. ghosts + halloween = makes sense.
