Old Island Event
 

How many of you long time players, such as meself, miss those old islands that we grew up on? On Port Royal, that simple, but lovely town; on Tortuga, the 6' by 6' swamp; and of course, cliff diving on Padres. Remember those good times? I, and I'm sure many other pirates, would love it if they would do an event, maybe for just 2 weeks, where they bring back the old islands. I truly do miss the islands that my pirate grew up in, and I definitely miss cliff diving on the old Padres.... what do you guys think?

sounds like a really cool idea sounds super fun but sadly i think big D would say its to much work to do

Yeah I do miss the old islands especially the Tortuga and PDF. I miss the Cliff and the old inn. I dont like how they are using the other side of the island and the faithful bride up to be the lesser one. They could have at least kept the musicians there for parties...lol.

I dont think it should be that much work... unless they trashed the models of the islands, it should just be a few clicks of a button.. right? Could be wrong, I dont know too much about computer programming.

I still have the players package the Disney sent with all the old maps and information as well as the pirate flag... I love the pirate flag... I just wished they sold some of the stuff online or in the parks. I would love to get another package like that even if I had to pay for it including the pirate flag. Its cool being able to look at the information though closer to the original release and compare it to todays maps.

I'd really like it if they just took the structure of the old islands and made new islands out of them, I think that'd be cool.

I dont really remember most of the islands because i was basic back then and there was the 7 day full screen thingy that kept me from playing ther game longer than 7 days...
but i remembered port royal, ah it was a really wonderful island.

I do miss the old islands. If Disney can add a new island, they should add the old islands around the caribbean, like Old Tortuga by New Padres, Old PR by Tormenta, and Old PDF outside of Avaricia.

They dont even need the same names. It would be cool if they just used the template.... I just want to be able to cliff dive again ok? lol

I like that idea to have new islands with the same structure..yeah that would be cool.

I would love that if they could bring them back. My favorite part on Port Royal was going past the bridge (gaurded by cadets) and taking the long climb up to the fort.

Perhaps they could create a sort of 'Nostalgia Server'.

Personally, as much as I miss the old look of the game, times change, and we must all deal with it. Having an event like this would be nice for memories sake, but it really serves no purpose, other then that. It would also confuse quite a few new members..

LOL! yea i've always had ideas like this but i didn't think anyone would agree with me and i thought people would grief about it not being possible. But i miss the old islands REALLY BAD! My friend and i, the basic noobs that we were :D, would always go shoot the dummies and go and try kill the navy dudes then die cause we sucked rly bad XD. Ah.... the good ole days. Then getting upset when we realized we couldn't go past lvl 12 lol. The pirates online programmer peeps took away all the good things. i used to do nothing but hang out on the islands all day. Now i can't stand the new port royal. It just seems so... BORING. I mean port royal used to have ppl running around, about the same as tortuga. but now i rarely catch a glimpse of ppl on port royal unless its an invasion or GM event. The colors are what really made me like the islands. the greens and beautiful blue, but now its just brown grey mahogany, dark green and only good looking blue when u are out on the water sailing. I don't remeber much about the othewr islands. i never went of padres cause i was afraid of die XD. And i rly have absolutely NO memories of tortuga. I remember thinking i was the best player then staring and following a lvl 40 in awe. I really just wanna see pictures and videos of the old islands.
