August 31st 2010 Update
 

As I logged on today I noticed there was an update. There is no news about this in the release notes. So far the only thing I found to be fixed from this is the graphic issues of the enemies inside Tormenta.

Has anyone else noticed any other fixes applied during this update?

Oh! my bad, didnt notice. Maybe they are fixing that last batch of bugs, and they can release it thurday or friday.

I'm sure they are "fixing that last batch of bugs"... Im wanting folks to look around in game and post what bugs were fixed. I just did an invasion, and it had some errors for me. Not sure if that was on my end or D's end. Half way thru the invasion the sky went to blue, then a few mins later returned to the ugly green when a new wave of baddies rolled out. I hadn't seen it do that before.

anyone else notice any other fixes other than the graphic issues with the Spineskulls,, Urchinfists and French skeletons... (just noticed the french skeletons were fixed)

Hopefully... Im getting anxious to fish on live... I'm gonna try to get lv 20 this weekend if possible.....

Yeah the french skeletons are fixed, I didn't have any trouble with the invasions. Maybe it's a graphics issue on your end? Anyway, yeah this should be ready for live in my opinion now. Hopefully they can release this either late tonight or on Thursday. :) :bookishfj7::piratewheelgo2:

I remember the "spike" glitch happening in an invasion on test. Not on my end, other people saw it too. Think it was fixed tho

No one can possibly know when it will be out.. there's really no reason to ask.

If it isnt out tomorrow... Ok I normally say they should fix all the bugs, but at this point, Im pretty sure major bugs are fixed. They can release it on live with a few small bugs that live players can report. I'm getting pretty anxious now...

Seems like another weekend (a long one) with no new content.

Something obviously must be wrong on Disney's end. This is what Live Chat said to me a few minutes ago:

Hamed: In the future, please click on the Pirates character to bring up their Profile page. There you can choose to report them to our moderators.

Hamed: In each case the Pirate in question is fully investigate by our moderators and if there is any evidence of an violation, the appropriate actions will be taken.

Me: Many people that I know have said the same thing,.We really want to see the fishing update on the live game of Pirates Online, so we can test out the new island on the test server already. It has been 4 weeks since the fishing update was released onto the test server of Pirates Online. We have noticed that every single day before a weekend there is a "distraction" news post on the grog blog to keep us "distracted" from you guys releasing fishing to the live servers/ the live game. This is a nuisance to us. Is there a problem regarding a release time?
Hamed: You are very much aware that we will be unable to relay any such information unless it has been posted on our Website first.
Me: We have sent in so much feedback saying that it is ready and it is still not being released mate.
Hamed: Unfortunately, you will have to wait like every other Pirate until more news is released about the new content.

I don't really see his attitude, he's telling you as it is. They will release it when they think it's ready, not when the players think so. I don't know how many times this needs to be said, Live chat isn't for asking when an update will be coming. Sure they're there to help you, but not in that way.

Yes, we're the ones keeping the game going, because without us, there would be no game. They are working for us by trying to keep us entertained, whether you are or not, they're still trying.

Until you're actually sitting there typing codes and so on, you don't own the game, so you have no control over their release dates. You are simply playing the game, and they're the ones making the big decisions.

I'm always annoyed when someone thinks that POTCO can release big updates at will. It just doesn't work like that. If you have any experience with computer coding, than you would realize that it's nothing like writing a paragraph. It could be completely ready, they might want to add more features to fishing, or, like everyone's said, they're holding it back and trying to create hype. We just have to wait and see when it comes out, since nobody knows.

This isn't directed at anyone in particular either.

What I do to pass the time is play the other games I have on my computer, or I go and play web games.

Well, I'm going to mention my friend's theory from along time ago that: Disney is waiting to release the fishing update with the new island and quest update on live. So like this said along time ago that it will be an "epic" release of updates. So yeah. I could see them releasing Fishing with the new island and the new quest for the new island. If they keep "delaying" each week with news story's due to what is happening so far, then I am guessing that will happen.

No.... I dont think so.... they know that people want it out ASAP, so they arent going to wait longer than they need to. Raven's Cove will be completely separate.

James. I've said it before and I'll say it again. you must be the #1 POTCO fan of all time and that is awesome. But you need to be careful.

The bold and italicized words mean something. They keep records and they are reminding you of it mate. I would HATE to see you lose some privileges here James. Be patient.
