Unreleased Weapon Icons
Someone I know found these in a Pirates Folder, thought they were pretty neat so I thought I'd share with you guys!
Here are weapons called Scimitars, Rapiers, and Epees. Boarding Axes and Daggers 1-10 are in a second post. SCIMITAR - A Curved, Single-Edged Sword of Oriental Origin. RAPIER - A Small Sword in the 18th Century and a long, heavy sword in the 16th-17th centuries, having a narrow or double-edged blade used for slashing or thrusting. EPEE - A Rapier with a three-sided blade and guard over the tip, used in fencing. |
Excellent post Robin! +1
|
These are cool....Even if I have no idea what the heck they are...:D:p:D
|
Ooooo there really cool i love the rapiers and epees
|
Great find :D Some of those look interesting..
|
That first scimitar's handle looks like that of a Spartan knife :laughks2:
Actually, those scimitars look pretty awesome ( Not to mention powerful ). I think they'll come in second as my favorite weapon - keeping Broadswords in first. |
Scimitar would probably fall under the Broadsword skill set while the other two are definitely fencing weapons ala Sabre.
Curious. Are we going to see an Asian weapons soon? |
Axes and Daggers
Here are Boarding Axes and Daggers (Give a little look at what the new daggers/throwing knives are gonna look like)!
I have five more daggers I'll put in another post as well. |
Nice find again Robin :D
|
Thanks Sven! And now the last four daggers...
|
Nice, I haven't seen a few of those yet.
|
These were in the phase files?
|
Battle Axes? I think Disney might be straying away from "This is a kids game."
Unless of course we'll be chopping down trees, but it's more likely we'll be chopping up Crabs and Stumps. I'm kind of looking forward to the axes... Great finds, Robin! |

Dang mate! Ye hit the jackpot! Cant tell which weapons I want the most lol... some of those rapiers looked mighty fine.... but I'm also liking those axes.....
Here is how I see it. Since they just released a bunch of new weapons (broadsword, musket, blunderbuss, throwing knives, etc), they will probably add these weapons before the new year, as a continuation of all the new weapons being released, in the very far future, or never. Anyway, good find. |

Now back on topic! I hope these weapons make it in game some time this year, it would make a great addition to the game!. I can see it now that I will take a liking to the Rapier, Boarding Axe and Scimitar. I am glad to see the game growing. |

As for the holes in the sails, I don't see why Disney removed that graphic. I also don't see why Disney made it so cannon ammo doesn't go through multiple sails, or why we can't rip down the sails piece by piece, or why you don't see holes in the hull where your shots hit.... |
Or the SMOKE! What did they do with the awesome smoke with hulls?!! I miss all those puffs of smoke that used to bellow of the hull when damaged, or when the cannons smashed against the panels. They also used to come out when the sails were burning, when a bonfire was list and from any ordinary torch. Not to mention the smoke from the fire of Rat's Nest... And the cannons themselves! Long lines of smoke used to follow every cannon ball. We fire the cannons and smoke would come out like sprays of steam. When a ship broadsides it was SOOOO cool to see those beautiful lumps of smoke. It was so nice for High Graphics! Please Disney, bring it back for high graphics! Or at least introduce a new feature called HD for all high end computers, where the polygon counts are tripled and many small elements like smoke are induced!
Back on topic.... These weapons will be cool additions to the game! I remember using scimitars in Runescape. Boarding Axes would definitely be cool. I still wish that the sword system gets a revamp. I don't like doing the same moves again and again. Maybe they can make it that we should move our mouses for each move while holding CTRL, and something like the 4th or 5th move would allow you to do 2 or 3 strikes. We should have a blocking bar with a health of its own so that when we press/hold some button, we can prevent incoming strikes. And then weakening them by the blocks, we hit back hard with a fast first attack. Blocking and controlling sword moves would be cool... Or even a blocking system without controlling the moves, but rather putting random out of any 5 movements for each move. (the 4th move can have Flourish, Jumping Slash, etc. which would be random... out of a list of 5 moves.) Apart from these classes of weapons that have appeared, there is also a new class of swords called "Davy Jones' Swords". Strangely neither this nor Scimitar are there in the list of weapon classes found by Speedway Master. |
