Le Lapon Rouge (Rare Undead French Lieutenant Boss)
 

Has anybody found this boss or even heard of it? I'm interested in finding it, but so far I have not found it. Same with a friend. Does anybody have a screenshot of it, found it or is wondering why this is the only nationality specific boss in the game?

Post you ideas.... and try to find him....

Got my test invite the week that they released bosses, and I started this Undead skeleton quest. I leveled on that island around level 11, and got to level 20 in a matter of days. Met a French Boss, but it was glitched. Haven't seen this enemy since that day though.

From the POTCO *****:

There is no picture of this boss up there, so its safe to assume one of two things: 1. He definately IS the rarest boss in the game. 2. He was placed in by accident, and then taken out.

After thinking about it for a while, I have seen this Boss once, but a really really really long time ago.. I think the week after the boss releases. So, yeah. If you go head out after this guy, bring a few friends and camping gear ;)

Lol, when i first read Lapon Rouge I thought it was Lapin Rouge, which is french for Red Rabbit! :laughks2:
Anyway, havent fought him yet, good luck finding him, and be careful, those french are know to be amazing foil fighters...:degen:

This is just a rare boss that Dog is trying to find. I've seen him once, but I didn't care to take a screen shot of him. I thought all the bosses spawned over again in the same spot, and didn't realize he was actually rare when I first saw him.

He looks just like an undead french, only he has the glow around him.

hmmm... i might of seen him once or twice but it was a long long time ago i might go on a look out for him too could be fun haha

I'm not even sure why there are rare bosses in the first place, but I do see them every once in a while.

Haven't seen Le Lapon Rouge though.

It acutally means "The Red Lappish", according to a translator, whatever a Lappish is.

But anywho. It makes me wonder if there's a Spanish boss, I mean it would make sense, wouldn't it? Well best of luck fidning him!

Translators know nothing. "lapin" is french for rabbit. I take a french class in school and in the dictionary required for it, it says the word "lapin" does indeed mean rabbit.

Lappish is of, or relating to, the Lapps, a people native to Scandinavia, hence 'Lapland'.

So you know, when I first read it, I thought it was Lapin. Then I realized it was Lapon... either way he will always be the red rabbit to me!

Lappish is a term based off of a sometimes offensive name used to describe the native people of Northern Europe. The term it's based on, "Lapp," was given to the people of the Sammi tribe, who reside with Norway, Sweden, Finland, and Russia, with a few others scattered throughout the surrounding nations. "Lappish" refers to the language which they speak.

However, "Lapon" does not mean "Lappish" in English, but actually "Lapp." So, the unofficial official translation of Le Lapon Rouge is "The Red Lapp," or the politically correct version, "The Red Sammi." Also, according to his name, this may mean that Le Lapon Rouge actually ISN'T of French decent, but maybe just a Sammi that fought under Le Porc? Maybe that's what makes him so special.

Anyway, back to the boss. To find this guy, do we have to be at the level of determination to find Snap Dragon (*coughDelcough*) or do we even know if he's even in the game anymore? It seems to me that they may have taken him out, considering nobody has seen him in forever.

Oh, and I googled the name. All I got were a million pictures of red bunnies, hahahahaha.

Back on topic, they still have a bunch of bosses that arent constantly spawning, just today I was at Darkhart, and I saw a Slasher boss named Stench.... his stench was of old cheese... the guy was probably from Tortuga....

I went around Isla Congregos killing lieutenants today. i continued for about a half hour then with no luck on finding that boss i gave up. hopefully someone will find him someday.

There's a description of it on the wiki, just no image. That's probably where he found it.

I was able to glitch and run up to the island where he is standing and i have a screenshot of him in my album

I've never seen the jail dog, though I've heard of it. Somebody told me that there's a glitch where you can go to the dog on Outcast. I"ve always loved hidden easter eggs in games.

So anyway back to the boss. I talked to someone in live chat on the POTCO website and asked him if the boss was real or not. he told me it was a fake and there is no such boss.

Well, that's depressing. Guess I can take down my tent at Cangrejos then.

I've seen a French boss on the island before, I'm pretty sure the person on live chat has no idea what they're talking about, considering they're not developers.

After all, what would someone from the POTCO wiki have to gain from lying about a boss? The boss exists, I'm 100% about this, and unless they took it out of the game, I wouldn't believe anyone from live chat.(They don't know much about the game from my experience)

Well ok I don't know if he is real or not. I have been searching for him for hours and have seen nothing, but I guess it is still very possible that he exists.

Also the guy on live chat said that he has heard the same rumors about this boss. He thinks that he doesn't exist.

Anyway, it's getting late. I will see you all tomorrow, and hopefully we can find out the truth about this boss.

I don't think this boss is in the game anymore. I may have seen it once, waaay back when French/Spanish enemies were first introduced. Since then, nope.

I talked to Live Chat too... they said, if you see him tell your friends about him.... -_-

I just talked to another live chat person about the boss and he knew nothing about it. First he misspelled cangrejos then he asked me if I had ever been to the island, I think that's pretty obvious. then he just sat there silent for like 6 minutes , it was bad and I learned nothing.

He guys my friend just told me he got this new king of ward staff that does 91 damage does anyone know about this?

I once asked a live chat person about the Navy Bastion. They said there's no such thing in POTCO. That there never was a Bastion. The tech people know little to nothing about POTCO. They only know about the glitches that come in these types of games. That's why they were hired.:degen:

Your friend is pulling your leg, mate. There are no new staffs on Test or Open. I suggest you try not to listen to him to much, seeing as he's lying to you, either to act cool, or just for laughs.

Now, back on to the topic we're all here for. You really can't rely on Live Chat to answer anything content-wise. Why? Live Chat is for technical problems ONLY! Boy, I've thought we all went through this stage already. Don't go on Live Chat asking about a boss, or an island, or a weapon, or this or that. They won't tell you anything helpful, unless you have a question concerning a technical glitch.

They wouldn't make a staff that powerful anyways. Otherwise, you could (probably) kill level 40s with a Soul Flay.

As for the boss, he may still be out there. Although, I still doubt that he is in the game, otherwise we would've found him by now.:mybadki6:

But you're right. Live Chat is tech support and general information like, "Which key toggles autorun." Stuff like that. Otherwise they will tell you whatever it takes to get you to disconnect so they can get back to helping players who really need tech help.

Anyway Dog, if the red rabbit really exists, best thing to do is to just kill lieutenants until he spawns. If he doesnt spawn in 2 hours, he probably doesnt exist.

The Bastion DID exist about a few days on Test. I have better pics than that actually.

Nice, thanks EC. Hmm.... maybe they can throw some of these around Raven's Cove when it comes to test... because if any of you have noticed, the strongest ships around it are probably Navy Centurions...

^Proving that only the developers actually know what they're talking about when it comes to the game. Tech support isn't there to give you any info about future content in the game, or much content already in the game.

They're pretty good with helping you when it comes to problems, but begging them to tell you what is and isn't in the game would just be a waste of their time, since they don't actually know.

Side note: I really think if the Navy Bastion returns, it should be a Galleon, only a different class of galleons.

The Navy Bastion was, as you already saw in TWO pictures, a Lv59-61 Navy War Galleon. It appeared at the time the EITC Fleets were first added into the game. Apparently, they too weren't supposed to be in game yet, because 1: They replaced Panther spawn points, and 2: They were the only overleveled respawning enemy ship. The Navy Bastion lasted until the EITC Fleets went on it's first day of torturing Live.

Navy Bastion: Lv59-61
Navy/EITC Fleet War Frigate: Lv69-71
Navy/EITC Fleet Ship Of The Line: Lv89-81
Just thought I'd point out the odd pattern.

Just as the Navy Elite is a stronger Dreadnought, and the EITC Tyrant is a stronger Juggernaut, the Navy Bastion was a stronger Colossus. And yes, Mac, I think the same thing, though I wouldn't mind if it was still a War Galleon.
...However, if it were to remain War Galleon, it should be oversized - like the old Navy Goliath.

As for Lapon, I'm still sure he's been removed from the game...

In all the months I've been fighting the Undead Spanish and French, I can honestly say that the bosses of those enemies, like Red Rabbit, are extremely rare, or have been removed altogether. My guess is that, if he has not been removed, he would be in the Test server. Chances are that he was removed shortly after one of the updates. We all know how Disney "slips" a few future game features before removing them.

Anyone wanna meet up and look around for this boss on a quiet server? On open or test. My pirate is Jason.

I think they should have ships of the line for pirates to sink not during fleets.

That would be interesting. But then the treasure fleets wouldnt seem special, or different. Just normal ships with higher levels.

Also, that would be cool to meet up in POTCO. But as far as looking for the boss I doubt that we will have any luck. I searched for him for hours, and asked a live chat person and got no's on each attempt. He may have been in the game at one point, but they probably have taken him out.

If you're talking about live chat, yes, they have been asked. Live chat, however, does not make, and likely only plays the game minimally. The way I see it, they're there for technical issues, such as "Why did my game just crash?" They wouldn't know anything about the boss, because they don't need to know.

Member Services and Live Chat are 2 different things. Live Chat is only for Technical Support. Example: How do I change the Graphics to better suit my computer's Graphics Card? Member Services is for answering questions about the background Lore or about the game interface. Example: Where can I find Le Lapon Rouge? Who was Cpt. Walter?

Ur right but really, this boss is a fake. Someone would have found him and had a picture of him by now. I mean seriously how rare could he be? Like one in every trillion lietenants defeated?
