So you think your Guild is best, huh? The time for bragging is over mates - it's time for action. It's the Strongest Guild Competition. From August 10 - 24, let's see who's the best and bravest Guild once and for all! That's right, mates. It's that time of the year again, and we're ready to see which Guild will rise above the rest. Some Guilds might be better at hunting down skeletons, others Navy & EITC guards, while some Guilds fare better at sea. That's why this year's competition is divided into three categories to prove where a Guild's strength lies.

Here's how it breaks out...
Category 1: Most Skeletons Defeated - on land
Category 2: Most EITC/Navy Soldiers Defeated - on land
Category 3: Most Ships Sunk - at sea, of course (Flagships and Privateers not counted)

Every Guild has a chance to win and nothing to lose - but your nerve, eh? Turn your bragging into a reality by becoming the Top Guild in one of these three fun categories. All winners will be announced on the Web site after the competition ends. Apart from fame and recognition, the winning Guilds will receive a special edition Pirates of the Caribbean Online Desktop wallpaper with the name of the Strongest Guild congratulating them on their success. So Now I know why Del was ranking....

I won't even bother because my guild doesn't do that kind of thing......

Wait up..., wasn't this event a few months ago or something.... Either way, not too interested in playing against guilds who cheat and glitch to win....

They did this competition back in July of 2009, when it was first introduced. And yes, unfortunately, a lot of guilds cheat just so they can get on the boards.

I'm not in any guild, so I don't really have to pick sides on this one. Good luck to everybody!

I think it's more of, how many active Pirates you have, if a guild has 500 members but only 20 or so are on every now and again, I can't seem them doing very well haha. I think it's also matter of your guild's dedication. And as to those guilds who cheat... may they rot in Davy Jones's Locker!

True, smaller guilds do have a chance to do very well, if the guild is dedicated enough. But bigger guilds do have the numbers game, doesn't guarantee them a higher spot, but it certainly helps.

I see the Graveyard in PR filling up fast.... Brilliant, guild loyalties split again... GO MY GUILDIES! While you all do this, I'll be questing. :)

How do you find out who has the most?
The leaderboards are down / do not work at least when I checked Wednesday morning so how do we keep track?

Either D has found a way and is too lazy to fix them, or they have men who work 24/7 to keep count, or they are trying out a new system....

Doesn't seem to be fully. I was in my ranking spot yesterday (shall remain disclosed!) for a few good hours, but the leaderboards said I only killed 160 enemies.. I could do that in 10 minutes, let alone a few hours!

And now that I think about it, I'm start to get rankers remorse already. After all, it isn't what you would particularly call... fun. I'll still do it, just don't expect to find me all day blasting away at those guys :P

Invincibility doesn't really matter for an event like this. People cheat in a lot of different ways during these events, or when ranking in general. Can't really explain it better, as it's against the rules.

The leader boards aren't working right now. You probably defeated 160 enemies the last time it worked successfully. Buck is listed with 2k enemies.. he wasn't even online (long enough to get that much). That's one of the reasons I didn't do a thing :D

They really need to fix it though. Although, with the leader boards being broke, I haven't heard about anyone cheating (at least not as much). That's the only positive for them being down.. although some people enjoy ranking, no reason to take it from them..

Actually, it's totally a dedication thing.
I remember how I heard they only had like 15 active ppl during the contest out of the entire guild AND most importantly is they didn't start ranking til like the last 4 days of the contest. Each day was like 25K or something. That's some major dedication there passing guilds that had been ranking from the start & had a lot more ppl.

It's not just dedication....

If you have one member dedicated they won't do well. It's teamwork and dedication that will let you win.

I think he meant the main leader boards...which are broke.

Go BBK! Good luck to everyone else and have a great time. .Tip-Port royal grave yard you can kill skeletons easily and they count for this competition its not cheating -_- and ya dont use invinsibility glitch thats just totally cheating and you can get banned for it
