why am i not having any famed weapon luck?
 

Ive been fighting darkheart for the past 2-3 weeks....killed him about 3,400 times lost track at 3,000 leveled up my notoriety 4 levels...and all of my weapons at least 3 levels... YET the best ive gotten was a famed villiany doll....ever since then ive not gotten a SINGLE famed or legendary weapon...Why am i not having any luck when i see other pirates -my friends- getting 2-3 a day...from fighting darkheart...on the same server..

It's all luck man... Have only one famed weapon. (Least it`s a good one :D)

You're lucky, I haven't gotten a single famed weapon yet. Just keep fighting and you might get a skull chest with a famed weapon in it.

I have just three or four famed weapons. Not a single one came from Darkhart. My advice. If Darkhart isn't dropping Famed Weapons...Stop fighting him.

Mine came from Seabeards, Timmy and even a Flotsam. I got one while fishing on test today. Spread yourself out to have a better chance.

Something tells me that darkhart isn't carrying famed weapons that often now. i got over half my famed weapons fighting darkhart, but one of my favorites I got from Neban The Silent. It was my first famed weapon, which is the Master Crafted Repeater Pistol. So I would suggest fighting other enemies too, not just bosses.

Dark hart hasn't dropped any thing good lately for me. Camped out at Dark Hart for a few hours and got nothing then I went to tormenta and got a famed from a Molusk.

i have 10 lost relics ( or famed as u ppl call them ) and they all came from dark hart it depends on how u kill him and how fast he dies and also different enemies give you different chances for weapons


undead raider boss dark hart : he boosts the chance for ALL weapons

udnead timothy darton boss : he has a high chance for voodoo weapons

assassin boss : increased chance of eitc weapons

You got a famed weapon from fishing? Wow they must have added this in.

Well from my experience... well.. I have alot of experience.. and patience. You need alot of it

I have 36 famed.. (spread out over 3 pirates, some deleted.) and all from attacking higher level enemies. I usually go for Dark Hart, Thrall Captains, Urchinfists, and I even got 2 from that Stump boss on Outcast. So I guess different luck with different pirates? Im not sure. The only advice I can give is attack high levels

^ you got famed from the stump boss... He never drops ANY loot at all for me.

Also for getting relic from fishing was it a cannon ram/sailing token or weapon?

The relic I got from fishing was a cannon ram. Guess I forgot to point that out...

anyway, back to topic, you can also try the thralls and uchinfists in tormenta if DH is still not being nice, I got a strong famed there.:dancetl6:

Wow I though stump boss never drops but the rep is pretty good.

Same.... Devil root never drops for me... killed him around 15 times and still no loot.. or did they change that?

I was sailing with my guild (PNC 'til death!!) and we ported. I saw blue writing, I moused over it. Lo and Behold! A Famed Navigation Tool <_> (Robber's Sea Globe)

Anyways, I just got a lost relic on test servers, from Darkhart, first loot skull chest, first enemy kill and I got a privateer's bayonet.

Anyone tried getting famed/relic from cannon defense? is it easier to get famed then land?

You get famed cannon rams.

Well,. one question always in my mind is why low level pirates easy getting famed weapon??? from my question i think i got answer,.. Disney wanna us play longer with creating new one,.. easy got famed weapon if u under 27,. i noticed that,. so,. if u wanna prove it,. start new one and tell me what u got,. ;p

I dont think so, I'm level 46 and i have 25 famed weapons already.

The level doesn't really matter. I got 11 in one week on a fully mastered level 50.

I have only 1 famed weapon which i got from a loot pouch on padres. But thats not the point. The point is that it takes merely luck and determination. You don't just get a famed weapon by saying, "Oh, I really want a famed weapon!" You have to keep trying.

I wish there was a fool proof way to get famed weapons. I hadn't gotten a single famed weapon until I was level 36, and then suddenly I picked up 3 famed weapons in the span of one hour - Shaman Doll from Darkhart, and Corsair's Cutlass and Master Fencer's Sabre from Brinescum on the bridge at Tormenta. I would say it's random, but I find it odd that once I got the first famed weapon, I found myself getting skull chests much more frequently now. Not sure if that has to do with using higher level weapons, but it is an interesting coincidence.

From my experience, loot drops more frequently if you kill enemies around your level range (by weapon).

The level range is determined by the first pirate to engage combat with the enemy, and survives. If he/she gets knocked out, the enemy will go for another pirate, and he will be the level determinant.

Again, this is based on my very observational experience with fighting others with different level ranges, and my own personal experience with different weapon-leveled pirates.

My advice? Get a weak pirate to sweep those Veterans at the Marching ground, and finish them off yourself for massive lootage. Don't bother doing it yourself if you're too strong.

I'm a level 40 pirate, and I thought I would mix things up by going after the stump boss at outcast and alternate with Darkhart, but I noticed the stump boss [U]never[U] drops any loot for me. Anyone else have that problem? He used to when I was a lower level, but not anymore. EDIT - I just realized several other posters in this thread have this problem. I guess I'll have to stick with Neban, Timmy and Darkhart.

Any other suggested bosses with a better than average chance for famed weapons? If not, I'll be living at Tormenta and Padres for a while.

Neban, Remmy, Darkhart, Timmy, and Tormentans all seem to offer good loot. I do think that lower level pirates do have a better chance of getting good loot, due to the fact that they can fight enemies that are a higher level than them. This probably has an effect on the loot they get. I got a rare cannon ram (the one with extra explosive range) on my lv 21 pirate (he was probably lv 18 or so at the time) and I can never get any rare sea/cannon charms.

Well mates, I finally got El Patron's lost sword last night. There is no method to doing it, other than what has already been posted: persistence and luck. The sequence of events for me last night was spending a little time with darkhart, then moving to Timmy, Neban, changing servers and back to darkhart and with a party of at least 10 other pirates of varying levels (mostly 30+), the sword finally showed up in a skull loot chest. I was using a level 40 pirate, but now I think I'm gonna try to do this on a new pirate and see what happens. Good luck mates.

I got 3 famed weapons yesterday, total of 11 this week... seems like famed are dropping normally now

It's all luck, thats all there is to it. I fought darkheart for 3 and a half hours and nothing. Then the other day 5 minutes and i get something!!!

I am just fighting dark hart and Neban with me friends... seems there's some kind of famed tidal wave going on... me and me friends are receiving at least 1 famed weapon every single day.. often 3 a day, and sometimes 3 in an hour! Starting to have massive amounts of duplicates, triplicates, and even quadplicates. Still no legendary weapon.. sigh..
