If you're beyond it (like I'm level 21) I guess I just won't go any further now? lol

Good they fixed this one, I reported it. :p

Glad they're fixing stuff, looks like it's running alot smoother now.

I have a feeling they'll have undead poker players back in the future.

I'm glad for the level cap, because it was causing crashing problems. Problem is that they haven't reset our levels yet, and I'm already level 30 in fishing.

MacIronhawk 08-06-2010 11:24 PM

They still need to reset any players above level 20. I'm level 21, so I'm guessing they'll reset us with the next fix.

And Speedway^ says there's a grenade bug where you crash some times when using them.

Other than those two bugs, everything about fishing seems to be working great now. I guess we got lucky with this update. The developers didn't have a hard time fixing these in the first week. But since updates rarely(I think never) happen on the weekend, the next update will probably be monday or tuesday?

Anyways, I can't wait until this hits open. Until then, I'm gonna work my pirate boots off and finish the pearl quest, in case the new Ravens Cove quest happens to be a story quest.

This appears to be fixed. The other day I unlocked grenades, crashed every 5 or so throws.

Today, I leveled it up to 4 or so, no crashes at all.

The only bug left with fishing is when the lure goes too far. Sometimes it goes off screen. And if you put on a piece of clothing (example, I don't have a hat on, I put one on), your line has a "length" in the thousands. You then throw it way too far, and the line gets messed up.

Not as many bugs as before, but hopefully we'll be able to see the release of fishing by the end of next week, possibly on a friday, for open.

I wasn't aware of the lure bug, I haven't had problems with it, but I guess that's because I've only been casting a little bit and letting it sink all the way down so I can wait to catch a legendary fish.

And is anyone else besides me upset about the detail of the shrouded island, and all the other islands besides Padres? I didn't notice it before, but even though they added trees and buildings to islands, they all look... murky? And unclear? Before they were nice and smooth, and while sailing I used to take screenshots by islands because I thought they were beautiful.

Now, I can tell with the shrouded island that they're pointy, jagged, and the textures are extremely unclear. I remember making a thread about Padres looking awful, and I guess they fixed Padres. Padres looks amazing while sailing now, but none of the other islands do.

I wish they would take this into consideration, because how the islands look at sea affects what I think of the island when I dock. I don't want my first impretion of Ravens Cove to be some weird looking island.(even through the fog, you can tell it looks nothing like an actual island)

I don't really focus on the appearance of the island at sea, however I see what you mean. It could be better, however (to me at least), it looks decent.

Crazypirate 08-07-2010 01:17 AM

I stil keep crashing everytime I use the new skill with my throwing daggers.

Chris 08-07-2010 04:06 AM

Aww no more playing blackjack and poker with the skellies. Bah they always cheated anyway!

StellaInTheSky 08-07-2010 05:42 AM

Out of all the odd things I've seen in game...I don't think I've ever seen the Undead playing cards. Propped on headstones and chatting with each other, yes. But not cards... 0.o

Good luck with that choice but I doubt it. You never know when it will come live.

Speedway Master 08-07-2010 07:00 AM

They still have to fix the bug where enemies sometimes shrink and crabs turn into giant enemy crabs. I never want to go back to Driftwood Island ever again till it's fixed.

They also have to fix the bosses that don't want to re-spawn...

I thought they islands were always like that. Can you show us some of the screenshots? (I want to see how they looked before). What's aggro distance?

How close you can get to an enemy without it attacking.
