You may have heard about the sightings of strange new fish lately. It's what all the island townsfolk are buzzing about. Seems that some strange, spooky fish have been caught off the docks of Port Royal, Tortuga and Padres. Some say they are a bad omen. Others say that the odd fish are a result of the new island coming to the surface. Old Greg and the other Fish Masters need your help testing out their poles and lures to catch these critters. So try it out. But DON'T unhook these fish without assistance - we're unsure if they bite or not. Better safe than sorry, eh?

We need all Pirates with Test Access to report any issues on the following features:

* Fishing from the docks and catching all types of sea creatures
* Master Fishing, buying all upgrades and capturing the elusive Legendary Fish
* Launching your Fishing Boat and Fishing while at sea
* Teleporting to your Friends while they Fish
* New Daggers and Throwing Knives items to be collected via Loot Drops
* New Guild Features including the new Guild Rank: Veteran. A Veteran officer in the guild can only invite new Pirates to join the guild and can't delete guild members. (Permissions for Guild Officers rank remain the same.)

With your help, you have the ability to make this an epic release. We look forward to your feedback using the following bug reporting form.

Anybody have pictures of these "fishing ships?" I'm interested in what they look like after looking at how the Ship Of The Line is a cross between the Navy Goliath and the Fleet SOTLs...

I personally love the use of the word "epic" in this article. Makes me giggle. :)

These fishing ships are only Sloops with fishing buckets on the sides. There are better fishes that can be caught out at sea.

Fishing ships also use permissions, so you can set it to public if you want.

It costs 1000 gold to launch it.

Do normal computer enemy ships attack your fishing boat?
or is it a specil sea with no enemies?

The fishing ship is in the normal sea with out cannons, and yes you can be attack and the captain can broadside as of right now :bookishfj7:

I wonder what happens if you get sunk? Do you have to pay another 1000g to pay the fishing master back? lol

I was told by a Guildmate of mine in Spartans Savvy said that there are more than one island coming to the Caribbean. And one of them must be Ravens Cove, Isla Cruces, and Pelegosto. Maybe when all 6 new islands come and are not shrouded in fog, we can see their names and travel them. This is what he said.

I have to agree with Crestshot. "Epic" made me smile. LOL. Looks like a very cool release, hopefully this will lead to a whole new chapter in the Caribbean.

And also...seriously, sign up for a test access wait list? Cause that would mean I'm supposed to be on said wait list, I signed up for it eons ago. But, I would wager, I'm not. =/

Nothing epic about this release. More make-up over what could be a perfectly good game.

They're just sloops, but instead of saying a name that you give thgem the name says fishing boat.

First up, Z, welcome to the forums.

Second off, you have to sign up for test access and go through this whole approval process. You can't have any bans on your account and you have to have been playing for a certain amount of time. And while many people I've talked to think you can just download test and you have it, that is not true. You have to have approval.

Ah, but according to the quest text that Speedway Master posted in the Ravens Cove thread, fishing will be part of that new quest.

I'm not going to complain about fishing. You can make 275 gold from a shark, and it's a nice break from fighting enemies. I'm glad this was released.

Yeah, hopefully Raven's Cove and its "new quest" will be released next week or the week after, im hoping that we don't have to wait an entire month after this update here for Raven's Cove or this new island that appeared but, hopefully right after this update goes to live that's when I would really love to see it on test. :) :/ :bookishfj7::piratewheelgo2:

They made some great improvements with character's animations in the this update! (like swimming...)

i caught every single fish including rare fishes and i caught them all at the new island speedy lou fire dragon glittering girl fog bell mossy moses which by far is a hard fish to catch 1000 lbs :mickeypiratezd4::piratewheelgo2::piratetongueor4: :psmiley35:
