If one of the team disconnected and then rejoined the game, I think that the number of waves completed would be reduced by the number of waves the player missed when they disconnected. This would prevent a random player from jumping into a game already in progress and getting credit for 103 waves completed when they in fact may have only been there for 4 or 5 waves. The credit would still be given to the player who disconnected for the number of waves they completed. Just a guess.
