Where do you get El Patron's sword!?!?!
 

I have been killing Devil Root, Neban The silent, Genral Darkhart, General Hex, and Undead Timothy Dartan and NO luck where in the world to you get?!!?!? >_<

Theres a small rock in the Thrall cave on Tormenta. Under the rock is a note that says "Enrique Must Be Stopped" with Latin written at the bottom. The translation reads "Bowdash Mansion, bottom drawer." Opening the drawer, you will find a Madonna CD. Play Track 12 backwards, and one of the verses will state that the El Patron Sword is hidden in the rum cellar on Rumrunners behind Del's favorite Def Leppard poster.

Hehe, but honestly, as MP said, its all about luck. Like all drops, you can get it anywhere - Darkhart, Timothy, Neban, even a Gravedigger (although that is putting it to the extreme.) Really, you just have to make sure your in the right place at the right time, which none of us control. Just stay at it, and it shall come :)

I don't believe you at the Rumrunner part that the sword is on the rum celler

it mainly pure luck keep trying and soon you will get it

I also got mine from one of the raiders around Bonerattler

There are two factors which determine finding the lost sword along with any weapon you want to obtain or wish or need.

Luck and Determination.

Luck you can't change unless you yourself are some voodoo person who can do that.

Determination you can. Never give up and you will find it. Apparently for me I have :D

It was a joke.. lol The second paragraph he states it is purely luck.
Anyway, back at the topic, i didn't know devil root drops, only normal stumps drop.

El Patrons sword isnt that hard to find. I found it from an EITC assasin. I dont really know how I did though.

Hello, if any of yuo know any tips on how to get Famed Weapons or The Lost Sword of El Ptron please tell me! I have only gotten one Famed weapon ever! ( Bejeweled Broadsword, but I had sword already mastered).

I must have some bad luck to because when i take on Darkhart I can only get loot pouches, and when I do get Loot Skull's it usually consists of a dumb clothing item, around 100 gold, and a crude weapon

Any help is appreciated!

I only have one tip for you: You have to be lucky. The loot drops are all random, so there is no specific enemy and no specific location that has the famed and lost weapons. Just keep fighting Darhart and you might get a skull chest that has famed weapons in it.

This is exactly how I got El Patron's sword last night.

Devil root drops loot? Dont think thats his thing. I got mine from Timothy Dartan (he was nice to me that day) and took me a while to find it.

Pfft, I just shoot Timothy for fun. He's never given me anything worth keeping.

Anyways, I got my Bloodfire Cutlass off something on the bridge at Tormenta. I'm not sure what.... but then I got a Bruiser's Cutlass and a Bejeweled Broadsword off of Darkheart. Then I got another Bejeweled Broadsword off of Bonerattler. So it's completely random. I got lucky. I have still to find the Lost Sword, but obviously I'm not looking for it.... if you look for it, you won't get it, if you don't look for it, you will. LOL.

One of my friends got the sword from the grenadier boss at Rat's Nest.

I got mine at Dark Heart on the first day the updates came out. I was trying to go for relics but then I got the sword on the way. I still have no relics though. It only took me 30 minutes to get the sword.

Unlike most people, I actually got mine from the treasure fleet a long time ago. Back then I had no idea what the lost sword was, all I knew was that is was pretty powerful.

I believe I read with the new updates that Devil Root now drops along with others that did not before.

I got mine on Isla Tormenta from a thrall captain. But it could have just been the luck of the draw.

I got mine at Dark Heart along with all my other famed weapons... I have had no luck any place else.

The loot drops are all completely random anyone who thinks otherwise is fooling themselves all you can do is go out and defeat enemies and the prized loot will come eventually. Happy hunting mateys.

yes the loot drops are random. I got both the Lost Sword of El Patron and Mercer's blades from timothy dartan though, I was fighting alone and with my beloved War Scattergun

ok this is a thought just saying, but maybe its the sea charm you have. I have asked many people throughout the game who have all the good stuff, i just have general's broadswor di got from neban :P, anyway he said he had golden sea charm with a boost of 3 treasure sense, and i recently did the extra bonus thing to get bandit sea globe from raven's cove the fish guy task. So maybe it has something to do with that, ever since i got a higher sea charm, i have been getting better and better weapons, if you get a famed won, i'm thinking that you have a better chance of finding something awesome

Treasure sense boost has no affect on loot drops on land. Although I think the loot you get is affected by the amount of time you play and what you are getting during that time. For example I played for about an hour and got 10 skull chests but nothing of value inside, I played for about three more hours after that with maybe one or two skull chests, So I gave up. The next day I get on I'm playing for about ten minutes in the morning and I get two skull chests dropped at the same time and each had a famed repeater pistol in it. Time vs the amount of skull chests your getting has something do with it. If you're not getting that many skull chests and you've been on for awhile I think it increases your chance of a valuable loot droops i.e. famed or legendary, but if you're getting a ton of skull chests your not very likely to get something of value.
